There is always going to be a weakest link but if you work with the guys that make the kit, maybe they will cut you a "deal" for being the first test pilot and let them use you as free advertising on the boards. A fully built 80E can handle just about anything you can throw at it as some have demonstrated. Anyone know the weight difference between the 65 and the 80?

Was the truck warm or cold? I see about 20 until the truck is warm. It settles in at 8-10 when warm.

Good points guys. I would have been the one to try it but I just dumped $3500 for a level 5 65E and new converter. I always end up doing things a little too late,...this time it was just a little early. I will be following this closely though...

I do have a 2600 stall, but I still think that the time is pretty good. God, 1.7's for a 60ft with a centrfugal and a stock converter! If you didn't have Zippy backing you up on this one I would have called on this one. Now that you said you have a 2600, it is more believable. Great job!

Just have the dealer warrenty them. Would love to but they are aftermarket (there isn't much that isn't aftermarket on my truck). I can't remember the name of the cats but they were supposed to flow 40% better than stock. Picked them up for $150 each when I did my exhaust 3 years ago. I just may take some rebar to them and tune accordingly. Its real annoying hearing the rattle. The R/T's are very pricy @ $230 each for the 2.5".

Yeah I'm undecided on what to do about the front. I want something a bit more subtle than an in-your-face billet grille, also I think they are really over-played. but I don't want to go all Darth Vader either. I like the wire mesh gilles (like the CTS-V) but maybe if the pattern was 1/2 or 3/4-inch and black chrome? That is my exact opinion. I have been looking for that subtle grille for months. Black chrome is the "color" I want, now just looking for the style. Let me know when you find it! BTW, the lowering is perfect! I think that is my next step...

I saw it. It doesn't give car dealers a good name. I bought my SS from a dealer that gave me the bottom line, no BS. His price was the best in the area (over 50 dealers). I hate playing the game of "here is my best deal" and then 2 hours later it is thousands less. The "Chop gangster image" is very distasteful. I think it is bad publicity for the dealership IMO. I vote NO.

Well my passenger side cat has an annoying rattle INSIDE it now. I am assuming that the substrate cracked off and is now flopping around in there. I have no codes (all O'2s enabled) but it can't be all that good. Time to cut them out and buy new ones. Thought of going catless but don't want the hassle of inspection and roadside checks with the sniffer (yea, I have seen it). Anyone have comments on Random Technology HF cats. The metal 2.5" flow at 483cfm, that is the highest I have found for 2.5".

All '03s are AWD and cut off at 108 I believe. Funny that the later 2wd's are 97mph

I considered a similar hood a while back (posted a few links). I liked the fact that it weighed in at ~20lbs but did not like the fact that you had to mount your hood latch and that it costs over 1K with a few months wait

...go on the highway and put her to the floor. See if it stops accelerating at ~108MPH. I think just about all tuners shift the high speed cutoff to somewhere where you will not touch it. What RPM is it shifting at? ...another clue.
