  1. Hitting the dyno tomorrow. What is everyone targeting their AFRs for supercharged applications ( ). I will be running a 49/51 w/w meth/water. Any opinions?
  2. I 've got a list of people 6 deep. its sold.
  3. Did I hear track day? Are you serious about the leathers for a truck? All we need here is a SNELL rated helmet, long pants, closed toe shoes and seatbelts (for a 12 sec. truck) Now, 11's may get a little more interesting with safety equipment... Ric,...make sure you post the day and I will do my best to be there. I am looking to hit the track this Friday as well up here.
  4. Was thinking that as well (burst knock as well). Zippy, chime in here! Do you have a stall converter in there? I had terrible KR issues on kickdown and a strait flash stall. If I pulled it into a lower gear manually and floored it, the KR was minimal and cleared up quickly. If I power braked before launch, NO KR. I know you have a FP gauge, what is your FP on a WOT run over 5K RPMs. I know the 04's have a more difficult time holding peak FP at your power levels than the 03's. You may be running into a fuel starved motor. FWIW, I still get a little bit of KR from time to time. My tune is aggressive and any little change (varying gas, hot temps / cold temps etc.) wil show a bit of KR that clears up quickly. The worse I see now is 1-2*.
  5. I had the converter in a basically stock (CAI and full exhaust) truck. Made a big difference.
  6. Same year trucks? Should be fine. Pulley change may be in order though along with programming.
  7. TTT. First $350 takes it. That is shipped to your door.
  8. Glad you got him. Nothing worse than finding one of your personal items violated.
  9. I have so many files that are similar,...bottom line is that my rough 2.9" pulley tune was used A simple reflash for stock line pressure turned out to be a PITA.
  10. All fixed. There is a noticeable difference between the two for sure. Going to the track next Friday provided good weather. Keep ya posted.

    Fuel gauge

Thank you for the notes! I looked through all of the parameters and can't find it. Looks like a EFI Live forum post is in order. Joe, It comes with the territory. As soon as you start changing things, you gotta expect it. BTW, She is running strong again. I flashed an old tune which had the line pressure dropped (in prep for the shift kit), that was before my multiple dyno tuning sessions. I used my newest program now and everything is the way it should be! I got my power back! I will be on the dyno this Wednesday to fix my AFR which is all wacked out due to the Meth and "cats by Craftsman screwdriver".

    No cats tuning/

I just finished punching mine out. I got a code of "fuel trim system lean" so I am sure that it messed up my AFR a bit. Getting on the wide band this Wednesday. You will want to delete the last O2s.

    Fuel gauge

Can someone tell me what would make the fuel gauge read in reverse? For example, I would drive and my gauge will go up (along with my "range' on the DIC). When I filled up, the needle was zero'd out and the orange idiot light was on (DIC indicated low fuel). I have been having alot of crazy BS going on lately with my truck and this one has me stumped. Is there any parameter in the PCM that can alter this that I am not seeing?
  15. Joe, since you had a knock sensor code thrown, be sure to check that you sensors are in fact working (not sure if they would read "0" if they are disconnected or if they would be pegged). Based on your mail order tune, I would expect to see SOME KR somewhere in your scan. With a hot engine, floor it to make it kick down a gear and you should see a bit. Use the recording function because it may happen real fast and be difficult to see. If you see a little bit of KR, I would feel comfortable that there is more to be had in your tune (timing specifically). That would be a good thing!
  16. Sounds like you have tuning issues, nothing to do with a converter. Yup. I haven't checked yet but I feel that I may have my pre dyno tuning flash in there. If that is the case, I am down 50HP to the wheels I'll get this settled.
  17. Dave, I am sure it was. I have issues with my cat on the pass side. I just never saw the "J" before on the scan gauge.
  18. I pulled a code and cleared it with the scan gauge today. The scan gauge listed J430 and there is no correlation in the manual to decode it to the standard format. Anyone know? I will be calling them today I guess. Rule of thumb...do not clear the code with the scan gauge UNTIL you are sure you can cross reference it to the standard listings!!!
  19. FYI. I dyno's 360HP to the wheels with a cam, ASM headders HF cats and Flowmaster 40 series, E-fans, 160 thermo and a K&N CAI. figure a 20-23% loss through the driveline and .... Those mods will cost you half of the price of that engine.
  20. Ben, you are obviously a data guy. I see I will need to get hard data for you rather than butometer results for the 60ft. I will leave it at that. I logged last night and for some reason everything is off...even my E-fans wouldn't kick on at the set temp. Looks like alot of work again....
  21. Its an honor to get a letter from the owner / president!
  22. ...Been playing with my new tranny and 2600 and I am not too sure that I made the right choice. With the stock tranny and the 3000, I could break the tires loose with little effort and the launch will throw me into the seats like the finest sports car. Now with the FLT level 5 and the Yank 2600, I can no way break the tires loose from a flash stall on dry roads (strait line launch) I am CERTAIN that my 60ft times are slower. It does feel strong up top like it always has (flowing 60#'s at 53-5400 RPMs on the MAF). I have some dyno time at the end of the month so we'll see if I can play with some parmeters to make this beast rip once again. One other strange thing is that I saw 9.5#'s of boost That couldn't be right,...swap to a built tranny and a lower stall converter and see more boost Just for reference, prior to the pinning, 90TB and tranny, 8psi was MAX. Something changed,...looks like for the better but something doesn't add up . BTW, My FLT L5 has the trans-go 2 washer shift kit in her and the firmness isn't as hard as my stocker with cranked line pressure. Does anyone see any issues with adding some line pressure with the shift kit? Will keep you updated...
  23. I would have thought it would be more powerful
