  1. I got mine from a seller on ebay. He was a good guy to work with IMO. Here's the link: ebay
  2. Nice pics. I see what the favorite color of the group was
  3. Any sound clips? Which magnaflow did you get?
  4. That is a pretty intersesting interview. I don't know if this is really related to that article, but what a lot of people don't realize about the price of oil and/or gas, is that the oil companies don't actually set the price of a barrel of oil, they are simply selling a commodity that is being priced by traders and speculators. Don't get me wrong though, I doubt they complain too much when the price rises a little. But what I am saying is that the oil companies are not really the ones to be blaming about the high price of oil.
  5. Yes, that was the one I was probably going to get
  6. Thanks for the input guys, I think I am probably going to get the SS cluster, so that way if I get an Aeroforce or two down the road, I can match the white gauges, which matches the color of my truck, and it will hopefully bring everything together really well Yes it does say the programming is free. BTW, when I wrote tc, I meant torque converter
  7. I have a Sonartec 19 degree (about a 2 iron). I like it a lot more than the Titleist hybrid I used to have, which was the first model BTW, I haven't hit Titleist's new hybrid. I like having the hybrid because if for nothing else it gives you more confidence because you know you are supposed to hit it well, and it is a nice fill for the gap between your woods and irons, IMO.
  8. Well with one of my future mods being a tc, I would like to be able to monitor the trans temp, but as you know the VHO does not have a temp gauge on the cluster . So, I was wondering which one of the two options I have you guys think would suit me the best. 1) Get a SS cluster like this one (Click Here), since they already have the trans temp gauge installed, 2) Get a dual aeroforce interceptor gauge set up. I know that the aeroforce would allow me to monitor much more on my truck, but they are also more $$$ and with the simple bolt on mods I am planning for now, I don't know if it is necessary for me to have all the extra info. Let me know what you guys would recommend, I am not good when it comes to making these types of choices.
  9. Man you got me good, I immediately started thinking about where I was going to find the money to pay for it
  10. Thanks for the info. Summit's website says that I should also buy the axle shims, so should I go ahead and buy them or would it be okay to wait and see if the truck vibrates after the drop and then buy the shims if needed? Thanks
  11. I was going to buy the Belltech 2" drop shackles (Click Here) to level out my truck but first I wanted to see if anyone had done this and what the results were. My goal is to simply make my truck sit level without having to modify the front suspension. I searched but could not find a truck that had only used the shackles, all I found were ones that had a drop in the front also. Any help and/or recommendations appreciated
  12. I got the truck back from the dealer today, and the guy said they had to scan the truck to help find the problem I took it in for (not the tranny), so if there were something wrong with the tranny also, I feel like he would have told me...I hope lol. Well I am for sure adding a shift kit and servos (probably the first mod), and the more I think about it the more I am leaning toward getting the tbtc and just dealing with the reduced towing ability even though it will probably never be a problem. I mean I would much rather be able to go fast than be able to pull a house . However, and I do apologize for the repeated questions, but does the higher stall also mean that the rpms are higher when cruising compared to the stock tc. For example- stock @ 70= 2000 rpm, tbtc @ 70=?? Thanks
  13. For the VERY future of my truck, I would like to build a really strong performing n/a truck, so to answer your question it would probably include a cam, heads, etc. But unless I win the lottery, that will be a few years down the road. For now, my goal is to simply turn my truck into a strong daily driver.
  14. Yes I am under warranty (for only a few months more). Will something show up in a scan even if the check engine light isn't on? As for the tc, I do like to take advantage of the "benefits" of driving a half-ton truck with a large motor, and as much as I would love to not lose the towing capability, the reality is that I havn't towed anyhting since I bought my truck, about 1 year ago. How much quicker will the tbtc make the truck during street driving, not utilizing the higher stall? The reason I am not worried about using stall is because currently traction is a big problem ( stock goodyears ) and I am sure it will only get worse after my planned future mods, which are tune, t-stat, shift kit, and headers. Sorry for all the questions, but I am trying to get all the info I can before I start buying parts.
  15. Thanks for the help guys Does anyone have info/opinions about my transmission? I am taking my truck to the dealer tomorrow and I was wondering if I need to bring it up or not, because I don't want it to get messed up from them trying to find something wrong if there is nothing wrong with it.
  16. The thing is, the high prices make absolutely no sense because despite what everyone likes to say, there is no "shortage" of oil at this time. I know that lately, or at least during the end of 07, the U.S. had more oil reserves than it ever had. If I understand it correctly, the prices are driven up solely based on speculation that something bad is going to happen in the world that would cause the supply of oil to be cut off drastically. Edit: I guess I didn't read SSThunder's post all the way through, so sorry for just rewriting what he already said lol
  17. I figured I would go ahead and ask both questions in one post, so: 1) When leaving a stoplight, my truck kind of studders, it feels like to me the tranny is searching for the correct gear or something, but that is just a guess. It has happened twice this week. I am taking my truck to the dealer in the next day or two to get the rear tail light fixed, and I was wondering if this was a big deal and I needed to get them to check the tranny out, or if it was just something that occasionally happens? 2) I have been looking into getting a trailblazer tc, but I was wondering if the higher stall is only beneficial if it is used. I never go to the track, and I very rarely stall my truck to get a quicker launch. So I guess my question is would the higher stall tc do more harm than good if I would rarely use the benefits of having a higher stall speed? Any help is appreciated, Thanks
  18. Congatulations on 1st place I really like the look of that rat rod
  19. Mr. P, how hard was it to install that cooler? Does it use the stock hose placements? Just wondering since the size is so much different from the stock one. Thanks
  20. Yes I used a cleaner that I found that said it was specifically for MAFs. It said it left no residue and evaporated quicky.
  21. My truck did it when I first bought it (used), but strangely enough it has not made the noise in quite a long time
