  1. Here's a link to the guy I saw with the 3/4 DJM http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=65127&st=0&p=734057&&do=findComment&comment=734057 And here's a topic about a 4/6 drop... http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=65898&hl=%20djm%20%20control%20%20arm&st=0 Hope these help
  2. Haha yeah that back should be simplest I think... I really don't see why the front would be too complicated either, but never done it.
  3. K thanks, love the look and weight but the price is a little steep... Maybe if I keep the truck for life I could justify myself for that kind of money in my truck for wheels lol, then again I've got that much in brakes on a truck I don't even drive...
  4. Not really sure what you need help with.. If you have access to something to lift off your bed, that's the way to go for the rear, only 8 bolts, some wires, and the gas filler neck to disconnect and then you have open access to grind off the rivets holding the factory rivets... I've heard of guys doing it without taking the bed off, but that sounds pretty tight to me. I plan on taking my bed off this weekend to do my hangers.
  5. I've seen it done.. forgot the guys name on here but I'm sure it works. I think it was also the djm kit Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk
  6. Somebody else will have to chime in here, but unless I'm wrong, you should be able to just crank the torsion keys down another inch after the control arm. In the rear, most likely a flip kit or drop leafs, never seen 6 drop hangers/shackles.
  7. Hey what kind of wheels are those? I really like them!! For some reason I wanna say it was you that I saw maybe a few years ago on here that got custom wheels.. not sure...
  8. K awesome! I'm kinda scared to do it myself, but I would like to learn so I could do future work on it myself too, well to some degree anyway...
  9. Slightly off topic, but would you recommend getting the instructional DVD too or is there instructions with the stuff or what? I think I got a hold of a 2600 stall torque converter real cheap now, so I'll buy that and keep saving until I have money for everything and put it in all at once.
  10. I'll probably wait until my college semester is over so I can actually do my homework I played Cod MW2 quite a bit but ended up selling it because I wanted to play it too much... Can't wait to play this game over Christmas!! PS3 here also!
  11. Yeah, either expensive now or later... Know all about that from the YFZ450 I used to have!
  12. Actually more just for better launch and so I'm ready for a cam in the future. I don't tow very often, but I do want to be able to sometimes. So basically what's being said is either stay mild, or decide now if I want to keep my truck before I spend a lot of money into it....
  13. Ok I was thinking a 2600 stall, the cam and headers will be a while.. might get myself Nos for Christmas As for when it fails, is there a big chance of it causing major damage, to where I would have been better off building it now, or usually more just clutch packs, etc wearing out and replacing? Sorry transmission aren't my thing, but still learning!
  14. Oh, and about how much hp will this hold up? any more than stock? I'm thinking cam, headers, maybe some head work, along with maybe nos, nos for now at least for sure.
  15. Alright thanks! I guess I'll wait a little longer and do everything nice.. well I guess we'll see if I do it myself will turn out nice
  16. Is the 2nd #2 on the list? I checked all the prices except for the shift kit itself, can't find it... can't say I like their website much. The prices aren't actually that bad, might just have to wait a little longer. Where do I get the accumulator pistons or what exactly to get here?
  17. I hope I remember that once I'm getting new shocks.. Any idea how much they run? I just did it the cheap, not so nice way for now... Cut mine and welded a 3+ inch piece of channel in between there now. I plan on either building me a nice set or buying me some within time once I have more $$
  18. Well I basically wanna do it now because I'm changing all the fluids in my truck, only the transmission left... I thought around $80 for a shift kit and $20 for servo... tight budget! So not sure what's the most important stuff here. I thought I saw somewhere that 2 quarts for the transfer case... Guess I better fill up more or what
  19. Oh I'm sure an easy 50 hp there.. lol on the new ones you can get around 150 from just a programmer! If you want to go crazy injectors aren't too expensive on those compared to newer ones and then yet a bigger turbo... I really don't want to tell you too much what to do though, I basically know the newer common rails, that's what I drove until I bought my SS. Had a Smarty programmer on it and ran a 9.23 in the 1/8th mile, not sure if I got a lucky run that time or what because I ran mostly 9.4s, the 9.23 woulda beat the 9.27 a TBSS ran there
  20. I'm about to order a Trans-go shift kit from Summit for $77 unless somebody tells me of something better... Which servo do I get and where? Also, is the install somewhat simple or is it really complicated and what's all involved?
  21. Not sure if I would consider that a pickup, but I guess they have some similarities and could be used for one... Not the biggest fan of the looks, but could be pretty cool, halfway truck and still really fast.
  22. Cummins fan here and those 12 Valves have tons of potential! I have probably about 300 posts on cumminsforum and I thought they were pretty good on there. There is quite a mix of people on there, lots of different tastes which probably affect it somewhat... I really know much more about the later common rail Cummins, but on that truck, do something with the fuel plate, maybe an exhaust, and do a BHAF like you said. And if it's an auto, the transmission won't hold up to much at all!
  23. You said you weren't worried about the fuel prices, but just saying in case you don't know, the 6.0 needs high octane fuel and does worse fuel mileage than a 5.3 which uses regular fuel so that would make a difference. I've gotten 14.97 highway running it hard a lot and mostly going 70-80 so I think driving nice I could get 16-17, not sure, but mine is an AWD, a 2wd is also going to do somewhat better. The TBSS has an LS2 I think? With 400 hp. The Silverado SS has an LQ9 with 345 hp. These are the two basic differences I know of besides the fact of the smaller SUV vs. full size truck..
  24. I'll be watching this too... I want to get a shift kit and servo soon too and also need them installed.. Dallas area would work. Would at least like to get a quote at a good shop and if it's too much I'll try to do it myself if it's not too complicated.
  25. Yes it is the $050B code.. I have the latest version of EFI Live Explorer, not sure what the problem is. Tried deleted and putting them back on my autocal multiple times and still doesn't work.
