  1. Yeah...cops are dumb sometimes. I got pulled over a couple hours ago for the same reason-he said my tails weren't working. I have a line of fire b/c I was pretty sure my lights were too dark, and I installed it myself and made sure tails, brake, turns, rev all functioned on my led bar. When I mentioned my LED bar the cop then said "LED bars are for show use only and do not count as taillights". After mentioning that they are 50 state street legal and worked with all my taillight functions, the cop followed with "Well they didn't work that time." I think he needs to get his eyes checked...
  2. I hardwired mine with a test light. I poked the wires with the tester and when I was sure which was which I then tapped into it with the corresponding wire of the light bar. It's really easy if you use those screw in type wire taps(no cutting of your factory wiring is involved), and then insulate them with some electrical tape or heat shrink tubing to protect them.
  3. For some reason I looked up the video after seeing this. My reaction was nowhere near as funny as Kermit's. Warning to others: FOR YOUR OWN GOOD DON'T WATCH! (you've been warned)
  4. Thanks, Rob. Yeah those steps are as good as gone. I never really liked them but the dealership had them installed when I bought the truck, plus my lady is kinda short, so I left them on. After I got the paint job I REALLY didn't like them so I took them off. If you notice there are a couple of shots without the steps, I thought it looked cleaner w/o them.
  5. Pretty cool man that sounds like a good deal! Don't you wish all cops were like that?
  6. I would pick any of them, after all you can always spray a little 2-tone. Also, . There's nothin like flakes on a sunny day.
  7. Hey guys thanks for the compliments! I took some more pics with my buddy's old school 454 SS and I will post them soon. BTW I have noticed since I have been on the site I have the sudden urge to spend more money on the truck!
  8. That thing looks pretty cool. I would drive it.
  9. It's not porn...but WOWEE!!
  10. Hey guys, I'm still kinda new to the site even though it says I'm no longer a newbie. Just stoppin by to introduce myself: name's Eduardo from Plainview, TX (It's between Lubbock and Amarillo if you bother looking for it on a map or something...). I don't drive an SS but wish I did. Ride is a 05 w/ the 5.3 with Magnaflow exhaust and AEM Brute Force intake. LT's and a tune are next on the list. Pics may not be that great but I will post better ones when I borrow my buddy's camera. [attachm nt=12467:New_Paint_rear.jpg]
  11. Ha! that was kind of amazing! Let's see it again....
  12. I agree. Discount will beat whatever price quote you take them and provide excellent service plus the added convenience of it being local.
  13. Yeah I always preferred steel but I thought you meant the 2007 new body style. It's the only one I found for those models. But for the model before it, steel roll pans are everywhere. Try FBIrides.com that's where I got mine for my 05.
  14. Pretty sure those headlights are from APC. http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com/apc403680hldb-sy.html
  15. Have you tried e-bay? Probably cheaper than the dealership.
  16. I came across this while browsing around the Stylin Trucks website. Its from Street Scene and it's the only roll pan I've seen for the nbs Silverado but looks pretty good IMO. It costs $200 and is made of urethane.
  17. That is one sweet-a$$ ride!!!!!!!!!
  18. I heard somewhere that removing these blocks along with a set of shorter u-bolts will yield approx. 2" of drop. Not too sure but I would do shackles.
  19. I don't have a Denali but as far as I know(correct me if I'm wrong) the drivetrain is the exact same as the SS (LQ9 AWD), so the answer to that would be a yes.
  20. Pretty nice wheels you got there... Remind me of mine. 22" Helo dragster
