First off I know...SEARCH BUTTON! I've looked and can't see anything on this particular subject. My co-worker has a PCM that has been street tuned by Wheatly. I have the same exact truck/option packages as him. My truck is a completely stock '08 VMAX. He wants to go to a hand held tuner and has been told by the mfg. that he will have to put the PCM back to stock before the hand held will work. We are trying to figure a way to get my stock PCM into his truck and his Wheatly tuned PCM into my truck. If anyone knows how this can be done your help will be greatly appreciated.
  5. Well still no pics yet but, the phones were down at work this morning so it has been dropped 2" in the rear. Billet Bowtie (thanks Mike) installed, & all emblems on the tailgate removed. The GM squares on the side are coming off tonight. If you guys haven't installed shackles on a new body style FYI they are a BIOTCH!
  6. If it was totally up to me I'd take the VMAX badges off too (sleeper), but the wife likes them on this truck. This weekend I took off the bowtie, silverado, & ltz on the tailgate. All that I lack is the little GM squares on the doors. I was contemplating removing the mouldings from the doors also but decided to refrain for now. I put the VMAX badges that I bought to replace the ones on the classic on the engine cover. The NBS cover needed some dress-up. I'll take pictures tonight so ya'll can see my new toy. The LTZ interior is AWESOME and the BOSE in this truck stomps the classic. My only reservation is that it seems to have substantially less torque. I'm sure Wheatley and an exhaust will remedy that relatively soon.

A buddy from work and I are planning to attend. He's got a white vmax nbs and I'll have my black one today but I won't have enough mods by then . Spring Creek Park right?

They're right by me @ 290 & 529. Thanks for the help I'll have to give them a call for my Nova. That's a nice avatar btw.
  9. The handles are sold. Thanks for the inquiries.

Nice kills! I'm in Houston too. Who the heck is ARD? I've never heard of them.
  11. Yeah that's a pretty good price shipped free. Here's where I got mine. TWC I went down on options so I might talk to my salesperson to see about getting them on the NBS. The truck is coming today for sure. No sunroof, but it does have LTZ, 6.0, sliding rear window, trailer brake (an extra hole in my beautiful dash), rain sensing wipers, home link, and the safety package. I can't wait. I might go p/u the drop shackles at lunch b/c I can't afford to do anything else but de-badging for now.
  12. Well I got them in great shape and if you've seen my The Classic Is Dead post you'll know that I don't need them anymore. I paid $60 shipped and am willing to make someone else the same great deal that I got. I took them out of the box and almost cried when I found out that I would never get the opportunity to install them. If interested please send me a PM. I'm not trying to make a dime on this and these handles are in great condition.
  13. I got one without the hole and no use for it anymore. Basically you pay shipping and it is yours. PM me for details. The truck looks great btw.
  14. I had them included in the deal. With the factory swap 17"s and all terrains they were $1295 w/285/50/20 Coopers. If you're in Texas I can help you out with the place I bought'em.
  15. The wheels were only known to me as Moto's. They came in an American Racing box but I'm not sure if that's what they were. Hureo626 I'll be getting a crew with the expectations of an upcoming family. I tried to talk the wife into an extended cab SS but no go. I was able to talk her out of the sunroof though so that'll probably cost me another day to get the truck here. Holes in the roof are no good in 100 degree Texas heat.
  16. [The '07 Classic VMAX was deemed a total loss by the insurance so I just pulled the trigger on a '08 VMAX LTZ w/sunroof. It was the exact same price as the Classic when we bought it a year ago. Starting over sucks! I had just got the tune, exhaust, and K&N for the Classic and got to drive it about a month with them installed. Not to mention the antenna delete and 2" drop (installed one week). Oh well, Wheatley if you're listening I'll be out to see you in about a month. I'm going to do it right this time and establish a base 1/4 mile time and then run it again after mods. The truck: Black on black leather, factory 20's, locking tailgate, curtain air bags, 6-Disc, and all the LTZ stuff. Future plans: 2-4 drop (the nbs sit way to high), tune (I hate TM), full custom exhaust (no more true duals?), headers, and cai. And maybe a invisible force field for Houston driving. R.I.P. the Classic... gone but not forgotten.
  17. And he'll get it to you in gooood shape to. Thanks for the handles Rich.
  18. enought to beat 13.356 <---- Shadowsniper's fastest time And then you backed up to 13.7, dude what have you actually run or have you actually run it? The SS is still king of the mountain until you GOAT boys post up a slip or video that can put krambo or even holty in their place. We can all talk about how fast our trucks are the only difference is that on here we post slips and vids to back it up. I'm done listening to empty promises.
  19. I think it's a Type S not sure though. I have a TL also, they are great cars. How about some more info on the rice burner, I'm not prejudice. Are those 17"s? Does it have an aftermarket body kit? Sharp car!
  20. I hate 1/4 mile calculators because they assume perfection (traction, altitude, track conditions, etc), but based on the calculator I will have to call B.S. 14.5 is what it says but IMO 14.75-15 sounds more realistic. Post that slip and shut up haters like me please!
  21. now here's proof all that smoke is messin' with your brain. LONDON (Reuters) - Inhaling diesel exhaust triggers a stress response in the brain that may have damaging long-term effects on brain function, Dutch researchers said on Tuesday. Previous studies have found very small particles of soot, or nanoparticles, are able to travel from the nose and lodge in the brain. But this is the first time researchers have demonstrated a change in brain activity. "We can only speculate what these effects may mean for the chronic exposure to air pollution encountered in busy cities where the levels of such soot particles can be very high," said lead researcher Paul Borm from Zuyd University. "It is conceivable that the long-term effects of exposure to traffic nanoparticles may interfere with normal brain function and information processing." Borm and his team put 10 volunteers in a room filled with exhaust from a diesel engine for one hour and monitored their brain waves with an electroencephalograph (EEG). The level of fumes was similar to that found on a busy road or in a garage. After about 30 minutes, brain wave patterns displayed a stress response, suggesting changes in information processing in the brain cortex. Further research is needed to determine the clinical effect of this stress and whether it has any long-term impact on verbal and non-verbal intelligence or memory abilities. Still, the result appears to be another black mark for nanoparticles found in traffic fumes, which have already been linked with increased rates of respiratory and cardiovascular disease. The study was published in the journal Particle and Fibre Toxicology and is available online at http://www.particleandfibretoxicology.com/ Sorry about the long post but I always wondered why they thought those mosquito foggers were so fast, now I know... BRAIN DAMAGE.
  22. Man, I didn't mean to start a war. That is a pretty nice Dodge. We actually almost bought one about a year ago. I'm with Chevyman though we would like to see a slip.
  23. I'm with Chase...did you look at that install. Horrible! Looks aren't everything but .
  24. I'm just another window shopper Chase but could you PM me the info on the rear drum swap. Thanks
  25. "I called the dealer and it was $14.53 (Not a stocked item)" Talk to your parts guy they have a loot of mark-up in GM parts. I got mine at the dealership (no stock here either) the next day and paid $10.90 + Uncle Sam.
