  1. I totally think that this site is the caca... So I was wondering if anyone ever thought of making this site an app? I'm taking a programing class but I'm no where close to being able to create an app, otherwise I would myself! Just putting it out there for others to state their opinion on this matter, who know's maybe someone can and will make this site an app...?

  2. No brake cleaner. The stuff is so harsh, it will most likely "melt" the plastic. Use only a good electrical contact cleaner or better yet a designated MAF cleaner. The designated MAF cleaner (I use CRC brand) will not leave a residue nor harm any rubber or plastic.

Back in the day before the MAF cleaner was available, many shops just used standard 70% IPA. Good luck

Oh, and Jtmarine02...please give me your source for primary O2 sensors at $40.00 each! That is the best price ever. I am sure they are for the secondary O2's. I am glad you truck is running good and you could share your experiences.

Hey man I have an uncle who works at Autozone and a cousin who works at O'reilly (his son) they argue about who's the better franchise, makes me laugh. So they hook me up with part pricing! If one doesnt have the part in stock the other one prides that they have it in their store! lol They give me the same pricing they get after their employee discount. As for sharing my experiences, well if I have the time I'll post things up. I do work, go to college, and have a newborn baby not to mention a wife...

  3. Hey man I had a few of those same codes(MAF & 1 HO2 codes). It turned out that my Volant air filter & MAF sensor were dirty. I cleaned the Air filter with the Volant cleaning kit, the MAF sensor with MAF cleaner (you can find at O'reilly's or Autozone, just becareful NOT to get the resistors or other circuitry too soaked) That cleared all of my codes including my HO2 code. Overall, I'm glad I asked for help on a post here on SIlveradoSS.com cause it saved me money. I was gonna buy a new OEM MAF (89.99) and new O2 sensors (39.99ea). Oh and I only have 2 O2 sensors which my truck is now tuned to recognize. I have a Wheatley tune... Hope this helps and resolves your problem!

  4. prob alright, ditch replacing the stock pipes they have plenty space and size, just do muffler back

squintnoeswerdrun.gif I agree, if you aren't upsizing to at least a 3" setup, just get a muffler... I Have Pacesetter LT's, no Cat's, and a Borla XR-1 muffler with 3.5" tubing throughout and boy I love it!!! Just my 2 cents...peelout.gif

  5. awd came in all model years. . am i right?

I think that Chevy only offered the AWD for 2003 & 2004 models, 2005 & 2006 where rear-wheel drive. I might be wrong for the 2005 model, I think you still had the chance for that option that year but I'm not 100% sure. Hope that helps and good luck on getting one soon! I cant say I'll ever get rid of mine, I'm getting buried in my 04 SSS...lol

  6. I know the feeling.. lots of fun!

Your truck stock? My sister has an srt4 and I would never expect to beat her.. maybe close to keep up, probably take on launch but never beat her all out.

No quite, I have a few bolt-ons and a wheatley tune. Now that I think about it the deuche had SRT-8 badges on it... probably wasnt a srt to begin with!!..?

  7. So I'm driving in town in 5 o' clock traffic and a dumb red neon Srt-8 pulls up next to me and rev's his engine. Of course he's jammin' techno, is a young buck, and has all kinds of unnecessary stickers and large gauges all over the car. He had, what looked like, 13 inch tires up front and 16 inch in the rear. I could hear a turbo spool when he rev'd his engine at me, but I thought F*$# it! Well I took him on and beat him all 3 times. Needless to say, I beat him with ease; like at the least 5 car lanes. The first time was from a dead stop, second from 20-25 roll, and finally from 35 mph to about 80. He not once caught me or was even close. I'm in my late 20's so my adrenaline was running after the entire thing! Haven't had that much fun since I was on active duty USMC in Iraq! Cant say I do that too often, but it was worth it! Thought I'd share with you guys!

  8. So I got a check engine light last weekend and headed to autozone to get the code reout, I dont remember the code # but it read that it had a problem communicating with my MAF sensor. I called a buddy who works at a chevy dealer and he told me to try and clean the sensor before I spend the cash on a new one and that it might do the trick. I'm writing this post to ask anyone who has had this problem or knows of this problem to give me advice as to how to clean the sensor or remedy this issue. Thanks

  9. I have hid in all four and I didn't need any special ballast for the hi-beams, I think that as long as you order the right bulb size you won't have any problems, oh and by the way I paid 40 dollars for the hids on ebay, when I bought them my friend told me that they were not going to last since they were the "cheap" ones but I've had them for almost 2 years and no problemsChevy_anim.gif

    Nice! Thanks man!

  10. To any memeber who has any input from experience or hear say, whats the difference between HID ballast for Hi/Lo beam bulbs? I mean can I use the same ballast, I know that the High bulbs are 9005 and the lo bulbs are 9006, but is there a difference other than that when dealing with HID's? I was looking at buying 2 sets of the slim digital 35W HID kits, one for the highs and one for the low beams, but ive heard that I might need bi-xenon ballast for the high's?????? Any input is appreciated! Thanks

  11. Hey guys, just wondering if I should spend twice as much as I would on a new OEM replacement MAF sensor on a Granatelli one? Any input, my check engine light came on and after investigating the code I found out that I need a new one... Any feed back is appreciated! Let me know what ya'll have.
