8hnpSS replied to Hotrdchvy350's topic in AWD, Differential, & Transmission Tech
SS trucks never came factory with anything other than 4.10s for AWD and 3.73 for RWD. my awd SS runs around 2500 at 75 -
02 dually 8.1 allison all wheel drive gas milage
8hnpSS replied to 02 dually's topic in Off-Topic/General
you have an 8.1 with awd. to top it all off you have a dually. i dont think those things were built for any sort of fuel mileage. i wouldnt expect to break out of the single digits with one. how bad is the mpg? how many miles on the truck? -
70,018 hard driven miles as of today. i have to admit the way i drive that truck and that its been boosted for about 40k i havent had a single issue other than the transmission. looking forward to another summer of ass kicking and new mods to it

FLT vs Texas Speed & Performance 4l65E Trannys
8hnpSS replied to RustyWCA's topic in AWD, Differential, & Transmission Tech
such full of usefull information here. took me a while to register it all... bunch of clowns ive had my FLT level 6 for 5 years now. its been through 2 different superchargers / setups and atleast 60 1/4 mile passes all in the mid-low 12s. if it blew up tommorow id order another one without hesitation. great product -
haha so true

ever since i installed the headers on my truck 5 years ago i noticed some slight ticks/valve noise. its common and normal. you probably have an exhaust leak. its not going to be visibile you will have to do some of what was said above to find it

any civic or accord you can find if your looking for relliablility and not being in the shop every week. or even an older GTI or jetta

good work but either its not a real STI or he doesnt know how to drive. those little cars can move when i was boosted those things were always a good race. a stock truck wouldnt stand a chance

first thing would be to turn in my badge. then mod the SS and enjoy life  oh and also buy a JSB c6 z06

i had an 07 LTZ tahoe for a little bit. great truck just make sure of the rear defroster cable that its not hanging lose. if its air ride make sure you dont need to replace any of that. some people complain about the dash cracking but mine wasnt. my truck did have some oil consumption that i think was a bit much. it would need almost 2 quarts every 1000
