  1. I ordered them direct from JET-HOT. They are apparently EXTREMELY busy, so I understand, but... I WANT MY HEADERS INSTALLED.
  2. I believe so. But last I checked, their website is down.
  3. Thank you very much. I am going to be a little less than pleased if they lost it all.
  4. There it is. I finally got the headers I ordered JULY 24, 2008, it is now November 4. I ordered the Dynatech lt's with cat package from Jet-hot, who said they would take 3 weeks to ship from the manufacturer to their plant. Plus 1 week for coating, I should have had them in August. Around mid-August, I called Jet-hot to check my order status and they told me that the headers had not arrived. They said they couldn't get in contact with Dynatech, and were looking for another supplier. I mentioned tByrne, which after 2-3 more weeks of back and forth calls is who they used. Four weeks later, the day I was going to call to cancel my order, they called first to notify me they were FINALLY at the plant to coat. The headers finally arrived tonight. The headers are nice looking, but didn't come with any screws, gaskets, or hardware of any kind. My question is: am I supposed to get o2 sensor wire extensions, and header bolts, collector bolts, header gaskets, and collector gaskets ? Am I missing anything? I have seen mentions of the necessity of the extensions, but did the headers come with these?? I just want to know what I need to ask for when I call VERY ANGRILY tomorrow for the hardware. Thanks
  5. i was thinkin about gettin mine through jet hot. guess not! quote If you do, just make sure you have at least 3 weeks, plus coating time. They were having trouble with getting the order from Dynatech, so they had to shop around. None in stock. We'll see how it comes out. It may be tomorrow, but hopefully won't be much longer.
  6. 3 months later.... STILL WAITING But... I just got a call they are finally being coated...
  7. lol, too funny. I traded my 06 Tundra rc v-8 for my 03 SSS in december, and here's what I noticed. 1. The Tundra had 3.92's the SS has 4.10's 2. The Tundra had a 5-speed auto to the SS' 4-speed 3. My Tundra was regular cab and 2wd at maybe 4000 lbs. The ss is extended cab and awd at around 5500 lbs. 4. The Tundra had a 4.7 v-8 compared to my 6.0 5. Toyota has always boasted reliability and efficiency. AND I GET 4 MPG BETTER IN THE SS on the freeway AND in town???? I have NOT regretted trading mine, and WILL keep my SS for good. More power to you for wanting to upgrade yours, but I will stick with GM from now on. The aftermarket for tundras is almost nonexistant, which I had to learn the hard way.
  8. Wow... is all I can say. That is a masterpeice of a motor. Can't wait to see how it runs.
  9. I just ordered Dynatechs through Jet-hot with their Extreme Sterling finish, so I'll let you know in a few weeks how it all goes together. They seem to be the highest quality that I have found so far, which is why I chose them.
  10. You may want to find a local exhaust shop that does custom exhausts. Mine cost about 250-300 bucks and was built for MY truck. Just don't use midas... or anyone else with "off the shelf" exhaust systems. Make sure it is the right size and not that "crinkle bent" tubing. Ooh, unless you are in Cali... I believe they have certain restrictions on that sort of thing.
  11. I do!!! I saw the entire build, all 1+ years of it
  12. here with ya, bro. I just bought the HPTuners vcm suite tonight. Luckily, I have a friend who has some experience with this software. If nothing else, Wheatley is in town if things get too bad... I hope not.
  13. It can be done, my personal best was 21 mpg, traveling 60 mph from OKC to Houston. I was also babying the pedal the whole way home. Cruise control is nice, but in my experience, uses more throttle than necessary. It may have also been real gas, not that 10% ethanol crap everyone has these days.
  14. What was included in the kit and ballpark about how much, if you don't mind?
  15. I'd like a Zippy kit, but where can I find them? I pm'ed him earlier this week, is there a link to purchase the kit direct?
  16. saw it tonight, all I can say is WOW!!! Heath Ledger fit the part amazingly. (is that a word???) I give it 6 stars out of 5. DEFINITELY see it in theaters. Don't wait for DVD.
  17. I'm not so sure about this one, I believe the 40 minute car chase in the FIRST (1974) gone in 60 seconds still holds that record, along with the number of totaled cars approx. 130(?). But, I am still pumped to see this movie.
  18. I am thinking about upgrading to the tru-cool 4590 transmission cooler on my SSS and my dad's 3500 dually with an lq4 and 4l80e. Does anyone know the thread size and type for the tranny lines on my trucks and the cooler? I am just wondering if I can attach my factory lines to the cooler with no cutting or splicing of coolant lines. Also, I found the cooler here http://www.bulkpart.com/Merchant2/merchant...Product_Count=2 for 76.50, is that a good price? Thanks -Tim
  19. wow, great post. I was thinking about a shift kit, but I'll definitely do a few other things as well. Good job, guys.
  20. I'd love to go, but saturday's are tough for me. I'll see what I can do. I am just chomping at the bit to run mine on the strip.
  21. I was told by my exhaust guy that flowmasters have more backpressure, which increases torque. what size pipes are you running?
  22. Hi, everyone. I was looking around for some blue radiator hoses to complement the plug wires and outside of my truck, but can't seem to find them. Does anyone make them for our trucks? Silicone or rubber doesn't matter much, I just want them for looks. I have done searches on this site as well as a google search, but can't find anything but ricer parts. any help would, as always, be greatly appreciated. -Tim
  23. Great, thanks. I have only heard rumors on those two topics, and just wanted a little experienced advise. Thanks again
  24. I have been an extremely interested member of the site for a few months, and have finally decided to buy a few new toys. I thought it would be good to talk to people who have some of these mods. I will soon be ordering a set of Dynatechs with cat package and jet hot coating. At the same time, I will be doing plugs, wires, t-stat, belts, hoses, trans pan, possible shift kit, diff cover, and a tune. I already have a true dual exhaust and Volant CAI. The questions I have are: Wires: What size is appropriate for a mainly street(for now) motor? Should I stick with the 8.2 or 8.5's? or can I step up to the 10.4mm Taylors without problems? T-stat: Same question. Is 160* ok for street and daily driver use, or should I stick with a 180*? I will be getting a tune soon after, to account for all of the changes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -Tim
