  1. Just how google manages to bust you on your search in front of people by auto correcting what you wanted to search like " you google - best truck mods turns into best asian butt sex fart fettish scenes... ) LMAO
  2. Step 1- Plug Hyperpuke back into OBD2 port on truck Step 2- Download stock tune back on truck Step 3- Unplug Hyperpuke from OBD2 port on truck Step 4- Throw Hyperpuke in nearest trash can Step 5- Contact a reputable mail order tuner or local dyno tuner and have them flash your PCM either in person or by mail (Wheatley, Zippy, Black Bear) Step 6- Enjoy a well built custom tune to your truck from one of our reputable tuners with a lifetime supply of cheap or free retunes for any future mods you may want to put on that a hyperpuke can't support.
  3. I know this may be able to go in the F/S section but since it's firearms related I wanted to post it here... For sale is a Nikon BuckMaster rifle scope 3-9X40 with BDC used 2 seasons... No scratches or scuffs... maybe 10 rounds shot with scope on... I bought a larger power scope for out west... Scope held true every shot on my .308 Rem. 700... Comes with leupold 1" dove tail scope rings ($30 value)... All you need to buy is the Leupold mounting base which is about $30) $190 OBO Please PM me if you have questions... Some additional info below on scope.. •Durable, versatile riflescope is the result of collaboration between Nikon and Buckmasters •Brightvue anti-reflective system of multicoated lenses provides over 92 percent anti-reflection capability •BDC reticle trajectory-compensating system is designed and calibrated to provide fast, simple aiming points for various shot distances •100 percent water and fog-proof housing, O-ring sealing and nitrogen filling ensure moisture never penetrates interior
  4. I hope they never make another SSS unless they completely redesign the look of the silverados... The new styles of the big A$$ grill and buldging headlights look awefull in my opinion for any sport truck... As a Z71 or 4X4 they are not to bad and the 2014 third gen look better than the 2nd gen. but I don't think they are sporty looking at all... The GMC's are far better looking but still... The first gen is by far the best looking truck chevy has ever made besides the old C-10's... If I ever got a new truck it would be a GMC or Cummins or a 2006 Duramax LBZ
  5. I used the Comp XR275 cam not the trick flow as I forgot to make it clear... LOL... Its a great cam and you'll love it.... here is a short clip of my e-cutouts with this cam... Sorry the sound clip is lame as it was with my Iphone 3g 5 years ago LOL
  6. Winter just peaked its head around this past weekend.. Got about 1-3 inches of snow and temps steady in the 30's for highs... I never got the SSS out for its final ride of the year:( Time to run some seafoam in the gas tank and pull the battery and let her sit where she is at in my enclosed carport... UNTIL NEXT YEAR GENTS...

It is so so painful looking at her sleeping as well as my motorcycle, but at least the truck will still look ageless 20 years down the road rather than rusty due to salt and sand from our winter roads... I'd rather shed a tear in the winter than shed a tear because of a rust spot plus its my toy truck now and I want it to last forever... I have snowmobiles and ice fishing to get me through the winter at least...

True we don't have sand on the roads here so I see your point

  7. Thats a vague question as there is tons of different options... You must first decide if you you want a good DD or an ocassional track truck or a weekend warrior or a straight track truck first... Then you need to decide if you ever want to go forced induction or nitrous or stay NA... Then we need to do some heavy tranny mods and pic out a stall for you... way to much stuff to decide before slapping a pair of heads on.... The 317's flow pretty good and you can always get them milled, ported, and polished...
  8. Sell that TB spacer bud it does no good but a cute little whistle... Take that extra $100 and invest in an actual 90MM TB and intake manifold.... maybe some heads and a cam....If that TB spacer has any injection ports then I'd keep it and run a 100 shot of nitrous maybe LOL
  9. You would need a 2bar map sensor like one from a cobalt ss, which is like $30 and relocate your IAT sensor by tapping into the harness that attaches to the MAF
  10. Speed density tune takes readings from your MAP sensor and IAT sensor rather than readings from the MAF... Running SD is also recommended when you are pulling in more air than your MAF can handle... Your MAF reads in HZ and goes up to (14000HZ I beleive?) Also with speed density you will need a 2bar MAP sensor which is capable of reading past atmospheric pressure above 105KPA... A 2bar can read as High as 205KPA I think... Don't quote me on the exact numbers but they are close.... Anytime you are forcing air into the engine above what the engine can NA it will read above 105KPA... The purpose for it is a more accurate reading and tune for FI engines.... It also alows the tuner to access more tables in the tuning process which also alows more accurate tunning... If you are not maxing out the stock MAF it may not be worth going SD but I'd recommend it for any FI that is pulling down... Check out this link from pcmforless---- http://www.pcmforless.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=126:speed-density-sd-vs-mass-air-flow-maf-&catid=34:tuning&Itemid=56 http://www.ls1truck.com/forums/tuning/25228-sd-tune.html
  11. You should stroke it to a 496 or 502
  12. I have some magnaflow tips at 45' angles comming out the back of my truck... I love the way it looks but I may be going dumps or side exit as I put on a BSER roll pan and they stick out a little more since the bumper doesn't exsist anymore.... I can post pics later if you want
  13. That weather permit thing looks to be in our way of taking my SSS lol... 40% chance of snow with a high of 37' and low in the 20's
  14. With the procharger just gut the MAF into a smooth bello and run a 2Bar SD tune and be done with it...
  15. I have that same exact Comp cam and love the sound of it... I does indeed have a nice chop but does require some good tuning to get rid of idle surging... But once the tunes nailed it runs like a champ... I initialy was NA so this was the cam I decided to go with and would never go back... But since I am FI now I wish I would have found a more blower friendly cam, but at the same time it still runs hard and sounds awesome... It has a great powerband for NA, I beleive it comes on at 1800rpm and stretches out to 6800... If you like that old school thump that performs well in a DD and a mild to medium top end build this is the cam for you bud... This is just my personal experience with this cam running it for over 5 years now... Zippy won't stear you wrong either and has way more experience in these cams and others so its all up to you now...
  16. I beleive you need to reach a minnimum post count to do certain things.?.?
  17. Possible thermostat sticking... My truck always ran around 195-205 with the stock thermostat... I would put in a 180' or 160' anyway so the coolant flows sooner keeping the engine temp down more... My truck runs about 175-185 now with a 160' in...
  18. I would love a Skyline GTR as well... They are fast as hell but priced as much as a ZR1...
  19. I'll take a freebe lol... I have also been on 4-5 years but not even close to 3,000 heck I'm only half way to 1,000... Only recently started posting again this last fall cause I started modding my truck again LOL
  20. check out the "ricer files" they're ridiculously funny... Like the sunfire guy... LMAO
  21. I'd be very careful taking any tunes from hptuners repository... Make sure you look over the persons tune before uploading anything and driving unless it's from a reputable tuner IE. Wheatley, Zippy, Black Bear... and those mentioned won't have there tunes online for everyone to see either... Unless your willing to pay you can't be garaunteed a reliable tune... On the bright side maybe you can work out a deal with one of those tuners so that they can email you a tune since you have hptuners and save the hassle of pulling your pcm out everytime for a flash....
  22. COONNDDDEEENNSSSAATTTIIOONNN..... Does the exhaust drip any water out at start up? Mine almost always puffs a little white smoke... or humid air lol... I live in MN so at times there is alot of humidity and you can see your breath even if it isn't that cold out just high humidity and due point... Temps in the 60's and 50's almost all the time will create vapor fog from the exhaust... especially in the morning....
  23. I may be in Duluth Monday next week from 12 noon to 5pm with wife and kid and the mistress (SSS) if weather permits, otherwise we will be in the wifes 06' Impala SS...
