  1. I just looked it up and it is pricey for a sticker. I got mine off of ebay and paid about $11.00 for 3 of them.
  2. I think the one you are looking for is 15178667. The one for the emblems is 15178666. I hope this helps.
  3. Welcome to the site, where in Ky are you from? I am from London Ky and have been seeing a couple of black SS in this area. I am also going to the car show in Somerset Ky on the 23(this saturday) and would like to see a few members from this area come too. Let me know and we may try to schedule a meet there.
  4. I thought it was a gibbs spoiler, thats what I was trying to tell everyone on a different post. Here is the link http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/index.ph...&hl=spoiler. I think it looks really good. And for the money you cant beat it!
  5. Here is a link to a few pics that I have of the brackets and mockup I done on my truck, and the cab corner does attach to the rocker. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn220/C.../Picture237.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn220/C.../Picture239.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn220/C.../Picture242.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn220/C.../Picture252.jpg I hope this helps, and if you need anything else just send me a PM.
  6. If the temp stays pretty close to the same all the time you shouldnt have any problems with it. The temperature here bounces up and down and causes the swell and shrink effect on the plastic and that is what causes the alighnment problems that I was having. I reinsalled them when the temperature was down and it helped with the alighnment because the bed caps wrap around the bed above the taillights and when it cools off, the plastic will shrink causing them to raise up where it is against the back of the bed. Any how I like the way it looks because it covers the stake pockets and is really clean.
  7. Sorry to hear the news, Your in my thoughts and prayers as well as everyone else on the forum as you can see. I've only been a member since Feburary and from what I've seen in the last few months everyone here is like family. So stay strong and keep your head up, we are all backin you! Carl
  8. Went to two different local bodyshops and they estimated the damage to be $385.00 to repair and repaint the bumper.
  9. Pulled the starter today and found that the bendix was bad. It was letting the starter gear slide forward and hit the flywheel. Glad it wasn't the flywheel or the torque converter. Thanks for all your help.

    Sss Vs. Rsr

Tincher and Williams Chevrolet in Corbin Kentucky sold a couple of those trucks in 2005. I stopped to look at them and was interested until I seen the window sticker, about $32,000. They had a yellow one and a orange one and were really nice trucks, but not worth what they were wanting for them. Champion201 is exactly correct on the specs of this truck because I got one of the cards from the dealer when I looked at the trucks. The only way I would worry is if your SS is bone stock and then again you could probably take him anyway because he's gonna have a hard time finding traction. Any how here is a few pics of the dealer card. The pics is of the 4.8 with 330 HP, the 5.3 had 350 HP.
  11. I never thought of that, I had a 71 C-10 do the same thing. I will check it out and let you know. Thanks.
  12. Yea it is too high pitched to be an exhaust leak I think. The torque converter is the area it is comming from, almost sounds like something hitting the flywheel.
  13. Thanks for chiming in man , anyone else have any ideas?
  14. Nope I already checked it, I turned it on and back off and still the same thing. Could it possibly be the torque converter?
  15. I got in my truck this morning and started it up and noticed a ticking noise comming from the bottom of the engine close to the torque converter. It sounds like a stick in the fan or something. The truck is still holding about 42lbs of oil pressure at idle, any ideas what this might be? Oh yea it also has about 165,000 miles on it and thanks for your help.
  16. I got home from work Wednesday and as I was walking around my truck to go in side, I noticed a bad scratch on my front bumper. Needless to say I was PISSED so I called my supervisor to tell him about it. There was a guy landscaping and he said he was all around my truck with a wheelbarrow hauling mulch. So when I went back to work on Thursday, he told me to get 2 estimates of the damage and he would get it taken care of. What do you guys think it will cost to repair the bumper and paint it? I am going to take the truck to get estimates on Monday, and here is a couple of pics of the damage.
  17. There is a car show in Sommerset, Ky on August 23. I went last weekend to it and there was about 1200 cars there. I seen a SS Silverado there and took some pics and it turned out to be Yenkos truck. I didnt meet him but he was there, mabe we could schedule a meet there on the one in August. I would like to get evereone to come to it, kinda like a members gathering. What do you think?
  18. Yea it was nice and I didnt have any where to keep it. It set in the driveway collecting dust and never got drove anyway. I built a 327 out of a 68 camaro, it has a steel crank, 0.30 over size Keith black racing pistons, comp cam, performer rpm intake, and camel back heads. It ran pretty strong and had a lot of torque. I wish I had some dyno numbers to share with you guys but I never got to put it on one. Anyhow its always nice to stumble across a vehicle that you restored your self and see it basically untouched from the way it was when you sold it. It brings back a lot of memories.
  19. I was at a local car show today and stumbled across this C-10 I built several years ago. Regretably I had to sell it a couple years back because of a financial situation. I wish I could have held on to it but it had to go. Here is a few pics of it, so tell me what you think.
  20. I can vouch for Tim also, I got almost all the cladding for my truck from him. He was getting ready to ship the last package to me and PM'ed me because he got another truck in that had the last piece of cladding I needed on it. I couldnt do paypal at that time so he waited on me to send him a money order for the cab corner. He saved me some money on shipping and put it in the box he was already sending me. He is a real stand up guy and very honest about the description of his parts.
  21. Same thing happened to me, I thought something was wrong with mine.
  22. I was thinking of black leather with red houndstooth inserts. And on the upper seat back I thought about mabe putting the SS emblem inside of a chevy bowtie in red stitching. I was also wondering did GM offer black carpet and a split 60/40 rear bench seat in our trucks? This is kinda the pattern I was looking for.
