  1. You must graduate thru a novice season. I I can't believe I can say this but mine was in 2001. It's very expensive. I would suggest track days. For example: dunlops this season are $525 a set. They last me anywhere from 2-4 races. Fees are around $300 a weekend for 4 classes. And if you think premium is expensive? MR12 race fuel is near $20 a gallon. It is a blast. Something I cannot describe, but yes very expensive.

Btw: I was picked as 1 of 9 guys in the nation by Ducati North America to be a 848 Evo supported racer, but had to turn it down. It's bear $20k just to get it and race prep one. Too much $

  2. So those that know me know that I roadrace motorcycles. Still have my R6 but also picked up a GSXR 750 for this year. Ive always raced my 600 in both the 600 and 750 class. Its just getting harder to compete with those little pricks who only weigh 140 lbs. Im a 205# guy who spends time in the gym, so Im screwed. I cant find 60 pounds to lose on the bike. So more CC's it is.

My R6 which since this pic is getting all new bodywork and Leo Vince Ti ehaust. Made 122 rwhp with a race tire.

And my 750 right after we got the motor in. Check out the Red PC wheels.

Stock made 121 rwhp. Since build it made 135 on pump gas. So with electronics and Race gas should be closer to 150

2 weeks till the season starts Ill keep ya posted

  3. So the trans is back in finally after a few weeks. Along with all the wheels and brakes I rebuilt the trans because of a cracked piston. It allowed fluid to get by and burn up the clutches. The culprit was too much line pressure, so it was replaced with a billet one instead of the older cast style. I made my trans builder list all that is inside, so here goes. Now bear with me Im no trans tech just the guy writing checks.post-1515-047359600 1299906995_thumb.jpg NO BUENO

  4. Oh you know it Chase. I may just give him free reign. That Tacoma is SICK. Damn!!! I have a couple of ideas, but the more I ponder blue fire I'm liking it more and more. Whatever it is should really make the calipers pop.

I've always lived the true fire, but let's be honost! You're the original SS guy with it.

  5. Is Mike Lavallee doing it himself?

I hope you don't take the idea I have for my hood LOL.

And yea this is a teaser for sure.

Yeah Mike is doing it. I've traded some work out with him before. Im a PDR guy and have fixed a few cars for him. He is a truly nice guy. Called him today and he said bring it up saturday. So I may just give him free reign to do as he pleases. Hes a really talented guy.

  6. These were painteed by Mikie Lavallee- Killer Paint owner. Im changing the colors of my truck so someone needs these. They are in great shape. One little scuff near alternator spot. Also has been clearenced ( aka the hole is a bit bigger) where the large group of wires crosses under on drivers side. This is necessary for Supercharger to fit.

    Im accepting offers over $500

  7. You must "according to Baer" season the rotors. 5-6 days of normal driving which creates heat cycles in the rotors. Then 4 runs 70-15 mph then 10 min on freeway and more decelerating runs. Otherwise you can crack rotor by applying too much heat initially. Yada yada yada!!!

I can't wait to explain myself to the cop!! " no really officer I was just bedding brakes" :yellow_loser:

  8. WTF!?!?! i commented on this yesterday, why isnt my comment there??? anyways looks fawking dope, the black and blue compliment each other nicely... any plans for more blue accents on the truck???

    -Rob

    Easy Rob :)

I posted in two parts of the forum.. I'm going to call mike Lavallee at killer paint to see if he'll do some SS stripes on the hood with blue true fire inside the stripes. Should look cool

  9. whys it look like the pads are only contacting half the rotor?

I havnt bedded in the brakes yet. I had just pulled it off the jack stands and rolled it out of the garage. The Baer bedding process is a F'ing ordeal. Multiple stops at multiple speeds. I knicked a brake line , it doesn't leak but ordered a new one. Figured I would do the hard braking with a brake line I can count on.

  10. Chase- these were painted and cleared. Even Brembo doesnt powdercoat there calipers just good paint. We scuffed them, then used etching primer. Then base coat clear coat! The rears we did the same and I had the BAER logo and claw made in a decal that was then cleared over with paint.

I'm thinking about calling Mike Lavallee and having him do blue true fire inside SS hood stripes.

  11. Im having the hood repainted. Not sure exactly what Im going to do. The new engine covers are at the paint shop now. They are getting the same Kinetic Blue, Silver, and Black to repicate the ZR1 engine bay.

    Hood paint suggestions??????

Maybe some SS stripes in the blue. IDK
