  1. I drove the hell out of it when I first bought it. But now with all the mods and paint work its a bit of a garage WHORE. But I've still taken it to pick up stuff, since its a pick up. But lets just say when I pull up to the Home Depot with the supercharger whining away and the paintwork I always get an earfull. :pepsicheer:

  2. Wow that thing is absolutely amazing, I can't wait to see it finished! Are you on Trifive.com? I've been posting my build of the 57 over there quite a bit but wow it doesn't even compare to the crazy chassis you've got just wow is all I can say. thumb.gifpepsicheer.gif

Yeah. same screenname. Doesn't seem to rattle that many cages tho. Oh well, I spend a bit of time on Lateral G forum as well. To be honost, I think this car will be quite the show stopper when its done. I've got some really cool Ideas that I don't see too often. Just wish I had about $100,000 laying around so I could finish it faster :)

  3. Black or a shade of black. or light black or maybe dark black. Umm probably BLACK

Actually pondering a Flat finish. The frame will be brushed finished. so no shine. The stainless trim Im going to brush as well. No chrome and No shiny. The wheels are going to have brushed lips as well.

  4. Here's a few updated pics of my 56 build. Frame is nearing completion. We are just creating mounts for the body to the rear sub frame and front clip. And heres a side view of what the stance should look like. The front of the rocker is at 5" off the ground.

  5. So some of you have been following this. heres an updated pic of the rear subframe refabbed out of stainless that will be mated to the frame later this month. We bought a 2010 Camaro IRS and shortened it 10" to accept 12" wide rear wheels. Also ordered HD axles that should handle 1400 hp. Or so they claim. And for those of you who appreciate a clean weld. enjoy!

The rear is now completely adjustable with chromoly end joints and independent rear. No rubber mounting, all solid. The goal is to be a complete rolling chassis by the end of the year. Then we start the body. The plan is now to twin turbo the LS3 and hopefully compete in the Optima battery streetcar challenge.

  6. Update:

Rear end almost complete. HD Axles on there way. Newly fabbed rear end off the jig and going to be mated to frame. We just used the 2010 Camaro rearend as a starting point and completely redid the sub frame out of stainless Tube to match the frame. All solid mounts and chromoly rod ends for a completely adjustable Independent rear suspension.
