From what ive been reading, the gearing is what really makes or breaks the new dodges. Unless they are equipped with the 3.92 rear end, they aren't any faster than the 3rd gen hemis. I think stock for stock, with the 3.92 gears, they are pretty much even with us Tundra guys. Ive seen identical times/trap speeds for both trucks. The Tundra double cab and the ram equivalent but run about 14.6-14.8 @ 96 mph bone stock.
As for the new Ram R/T, there are a few guys who hit 13.7 stock in almost perfect DA. I think the best a stock RCSB tundra has done a 13.9, but not sure what the DA was on that run. Could have been faster in better DA. Still pretty fast for no mods.

I live in central florida at almost the half way point from tampa to orlando. My buddy gets vettes, 350Z's, and mustangs all the time in his GEO that he proceeds to spank he pulls up to a light and they pull up and rev he takes in kinda easy in 1st gear then hits 2nd gear and lets her rip he spikes about 15 psi and smokes the tires as hes passing them its funny as hell to watch. His new motor will be a 1.6L and will be good for about 26 psi on slicks it should be in the 12's. BTW hes spanking vettes with a bone stock 1.3L 4 cly with a turbo that only put down 158 hp to the wheels.
I know a few Titan guys in florida that would race you, but if your stock, it kinda isnt fair. Most of them are into the 13's. Then again, you lucky bastards get DA in the -1000's in florida. I dont know about you but I get just as much of a rush racing at the track as i did racing on the street. I dont know about Florida, but in Cali, thats a huge ticket/impound with the chance of your ride getting crushed.

They did the same thing to a buddy of mine with a built 427 TBSS at irwindale about a month ago. They wouldnt let him run with cut outs and he had no way of closing them. He bought the TBSS that way from texas. Kinda sucks because for as loud as his truck was (sounded awesome) most of the muscle cars there were just as loud if not louder. Hell, some of the little ricer gutted out civics are just as loud and no one tells them anything.

Man, thats awesome you got a new PB. I was really hoping to get one too, but instead did way worse than previous times. Im gonna pull out my tuner and see if its making a difference. 14.7 @ 95 is bad. I spun and messed up my 60' time (2.4) and then it went all down hill from there. I was really hoping to break into the 13s.

Hey man we're meeting up at 5:30 at the arco or velero gas station off Cherry. Look for a bunch of Titans and tundras. We have a RCSB Tundra going with the TRD Supercharger. His first time at the 1/4.

np man, just make sure you calibrate it. On one run i did the 1/4 mile in 11.28 seconds at 148 mph and was putting out over 1000 hp. I mean its pretty close to what a tundra with my mods will run, but it was a little off.

Those of you with an Iphone or Ipod touch ever use Dynolicous? It'll give you 0-60 times, 1/8 and 1/4 times as well as mph. Even gives you a dyno read out of HP and G's. Hasnt been too too acurate for me so far, but you can calibrate it.

ive raced that guy a few times when he had his titan. Guess he dumped a few grand into it, and i was still able to beat him. Then he went an got that bad boy. I actually called first dibs on him next month until I saw his sig. I totally missed the 427 part, then he went on and told me the rest of his mods.
The only thing stock on that TBSS in the intake manifold, and he's gonna change that out soon as well.

so how much does the S/C option run about ?
About 7k installed. Some dealerships are even finding a way to have it financed with the truck when you buy it.

A lot of things could have accounted for your win. Maybe the cams are making a bigger difference than you think. The DA could have been a lot better than at the track you go to. If the stang is new maybe it isnt broke in yet, or he just cant drive it. Stock GT's (05-08) run a low 14 high 13 second 1/4 stock. Did he leave his traction control on? Maybe you just knew your truck better than he knew his car.
Having a fast car and being able to drive it fast are 2 different things.

So i take it it wasnt an WRX or and STI impreza. lol. Those ugly things are well into the 13's stock. And they are AWD as well.

That's ok thats it's a 1/8 mile. It make the race seem too short though. Qualcom felt short and when you hit the end of the 1/8 you really had to get on the brakes. Not much room at that end. Me and a co-worker are going to hit up one of these tracks. He has an 05 manual GTO and has never been to the track. I told him the best is the look on the guy's face driving his hopped up civic when I pull a few lenghts in 5000 pound truck.
I know what you mean, even better when they have more stickers than glass on their rear window. Smoked a Civic Si last week at irwindale. He ran a 10.2 to my 9.03.

I haven't been to a track since the 1/8 miler at Qualcom in San Diego 3 years ago. I'll only race on tracks. I'll shocked to hear it's an actual 1/4 miler. I have to check out the Irwindale one.
Irwindale is an awesome track, but its only and 1/8 mile.

It is a terrible track, but the only 1/4 mile around. Dont be too disapointed with your times, DA is always a mess out there and the second half of the track is up hill. I always run .2 to .3 slower at fontana than at irwindale.
Make sure you wear pants and shoes. Lots of people get turned around for wearing shorts and flip flops.

I was in group one, and i left just before 1. It was too crowded. I only got 2 runs in. Wish i would have ran that lightning, even better to get it on film to say i beat a lightning! lol. I was hoping for 13's but w/o my tuner working, I wasnt too disapointed. I did manage my to beat both my previous best corrected time and trap speed.
A few titan guys and myself are heading out to bakersfield in the fall/winter to see if we can manage some better times.

My run corrects to a 13.372 @ 98.979 which is actually slightly better than my best run from Thursday at Irwindale.
Man last time i saw you we were running pretty close in times, what did you do to your truck. Those are some awesome gains and an awesome time/ trap speed.

That track always sucks. I had a best of 14.351 @ 95.60 (14.015 @ 97.945 corrected). I had to run w/o my tuner since it messed up on me a week ago. So i guess a low 14 isnt bad for just intake and exhaust as my only mods.
Corrected you were running a 13.367 @ 96.11mph. Pretty good time. I didnt see you there this time, what group where you in?

Man fontana was empty yesturday, they had it on free for all mode. I got 5 runs in, could have had more, but the weather sucked, on top of that track sucking regardless. 78% humidity wasnt too kind to my times or anyone else's. I ran a best of 14.5 after a few 14.6xx's and one 15.1xx.
It was kinda weird seeing GTO's and Mustang GT's struggling to hit 13's and running mostly low 14's.

lol saw a black SS run a yellow on nordoff and van nuys on sunday. Got his picture taken. Im sure he's gonna get it in the mail along with a little something extra.
I think he was going after this lowered black f150 that just passed seconds before. Both loud and both looked real clean. But why waste the gas on a f150? Not to mention how much that tickets gonna cost.

you were right by cal poly, not too far from my house. You got lucky man, cops and chp around those areas dont give warnings.

Coming home from my gf's house sat morning, im driving on the 5 south doing 65 when a blue Silverado blows past me and hits the breaks a lil. I catch up and notice the Vmax badge and a pretty loud exhaust. We even up to around 70 and both hit it and by the time i was at 95 i was at least 4-5 lengths on him and pulling. I slowed down and waited for him. He just rolled down his window gave me a wave and exited the freeway.
This afternoon, also coming home, i catch an SS on the freeway. I slowed down to let him catch up and he punched it. After gaining a length on me, I managed to reel him in and put about 3 lengths on him. I slowed down because of upcoming traffic and he started cutting through traffic to try and pass me, and of all people, HE GAVE ME A RICER FLY BY. I saw him exit the next exit and I just continued home.
Getting off my exit, i end up next to a 05 wrx covered in mud. Light turns green and we both hit it, I thought i was doing good up until 40 when he just had me by a fender until about 50 when he started walking away from me. As soon as he was about 4-5 lengths ahead, i took my foot off the gas, caught him at the next light, said thanks for the run, and went home.
Not too bad of a weekend.

nah, they dont sell alcohol there. We go next store to kitana's. Service sucks if your not arminian, and even worse is your mexican, but its a decent place to smoke some hookah, pounds some beers and check out some chics (when the gf 's in the RR of course). Food's alright too.

Nah Just went to the galaxy game, then headed out to The Spot in burbank. Its a pretty chill hookah bar that serves liquor. Lots of ricers, but mostly higher end cars (beamers and mercedes...only thing arminians will drive). But also a lot of cops so not too many races go on.

I ran a newer Wrx last week. Off the line he pulled about a length and a half but after that i stuck right there with him. We only went to about 50 or 60 but i'm sure any further and he would have walked me. Caught him at the next light and he was all grins. I had to remind him he beat a pick up truck, and not by a whole lot either.
I think the newer WRX's run faster than the last gen STi's. Hell the new STi's run low 13's stock, I think the new WRX's run mid to high 13's stock. Dont know if he was modded, didn't look like it, but damn that AWD is a mother off the line. I think i would have done better on a roll.
