  1. Nice run, his rims were probably way too heavy and were killing his performance.

You know, I know im not too old (ripe age of 26) but back when i was in HS (c/o 2000) 20" rims where like Baller status. They looked huge. Now most trucks come with 20's stock, mine included, and its so normal looking. Now its 22's, and 24's. I gotta buddy at work that has an H2 Hummer with 28's, its redicules. Am I the only one to notice this?

BTW nice kill on the charger. Another Hemi down.

  2. Are you serious? This is really a question? Your really worried? Sounds like he may be a little faster than a RCSB 5.3. You should have no problem smoking his arse. Dont get caught up in the hype of name brands and custom junk. Look at the foose f150. 500hp and a very lightly modded SS would kill it. Stop wondering and take him already. Get it on video.

He may have 5 more horses but im sure you have alot more torque.

  3. I think socaliallstar82 if a cool guy too. Like me, he doesn't have a chip on his shoulder and is here to shoot the shit and supply information about our trucks when asked. I think having a quick truck is cool, no matter what make it is.

I kind of figured xbit-11 was a troll when he first posted here and only replied to this topic when he was told to go to the F-150 forum. I don't know why people think they have to convince everybody that their choice of truck is the best. We already know that the truck we're driving is the best!

lol, omg you guys...so much love..lol, your all kick ass fellas too. Just feels like i fit in more here regardless of what truck i drive. Not too many people get the whole "making a truck go fast thing". And i absolutely hate the guys that say trucks arent for racing. "Wanna go fast, buy a car". Well I love knowing that 90% of the time when im at a light i can smoke the guy next to me, car or not. Im sure for some of you its more like 95-99% of the time.

  4. Yeah, the majority of parts are made in America. I was just saying even if our trucks are made in Canada they are American trucks, the majority of parts are made here in America, they were engineered here in America and all the money we pay for our trucks stay here in America. I can't say the same for import trucks even if they are built here in America. Aren't most SS & V-Max trucks built in Canada?

Its funny this topic always comes up. The new Tundras were designed here in torrence california by Americans. Built here in the United States. Pretty sure most of the parts are built here too. The Jobs are here so that puts some money back into the economy. I know most of the profits go back to japan, but how many jobs has toyota created by building here, which cant hurt the economy. So whats the definition of import. Something thats made here, or the orgin of the brand? I know I know, bottom line toyotas are imports, but i just dont like thinking that my American made truck is in the same category as a hyundai, you know?

  5. well if American keep buying these "non imports" our American companies will be bankrupt

its all prefrence man, they dont make SS's, lightnings, or srt10s anymore so i went with the next best thing for performance in a truck, a RCSB tundra. If Ford, and dodge made better vehicles then they wouldnt have a problem selling. Not too crazy about the new silverado looks, but the previous gen, the one the SS is based on is one of the nicer looking trucks out i think.

  6. yea, well your truck also weighs a thousand pounds less than his. For a truck that isn't necessarily built for sport racing, I'd say that's pretty damn good.

Anyone racing a Truck that is running 12's should worry. Any faster than that, we're talking about stock z06s and lamborghinis

look man, i can tell ur super new to the forum. these guys arent really sweatin the s/c cause most of them have been there done that. goto the f-150 forum and preach there. show them what a 500 hp truck should run, not that joke of a sports truck saleen or roush thy have. some of these guys are running faster than stock Z06's.

  7. They are actually going to make V6 Challengers? I haven't seen any Challengers around here yet, I'll look for them when I have my 2010 Camaro SS.

Its amazing how much dealerships will mark up prices when something new comes out, and even more amazing what people are willing to pay. Not on my salary.

  8. I'm not here to cause an argument about which truck is better, faster or stronger. I'm just running this by you chevy guys to see what yall think about it. I don't have a S/c nor do I think I will ever get one. This maybe the wrong thread to post this in, but any how I'll post the videos that just came out of the S/c. I love the Silverado SSs, which is probably why I am posting on your forum. I hope you guys come across one soon. I guarantee a good race!

The thing about our tundras is...they will never have a 1/4 of the aftermarket that Chevy has. It doesnt take a whole lot to get an SS as fast as or faster than a 5.7 Tundra. Mod for Mod We cant win. So you put a $7,000 s/c on and beat a few. They have a couple s/c available plus more than one tuner. You got a guy like chase running 11s when the trd blower gets us into the 13's. Even a RCSB would be lucky to hit low 13's, maybe 12's with Nitrous added on, but who would be crazy enough to do that...

  9. I would go bro, but tomorrow I'm installing some rear brake pads and disc brake. Keep us updated on how that Tundra runs in 1/4. When I fix my V-Max I wanna run your truck bro, do you go to the Irwindale Speedway?

at least once a month. hit me up next time your gonna go.

  10. Don't trip over that bro, just keep moddin your truck and next time smoke that fool.

hey man, im headin out to fontana tomorrow to try out the 1/4 for the first time, you gonna be there by any chance?

  11. they're tough to beat, but are beatable with some bolt ons, now the 05 gt's and up r a diff story

I can take my dads 08 gt by about 1/2 a length up to 70. never pushed it past that, but it feels like id pull more if we kept going. only probalem is my truck tops out at 115, im sure the mustang is much higher.

  12. Yea I said " A sport car some wut", that means it's kinda like one with the R/T package isn't it, I'm pretty sure it's suspension it's motor Is different due 2 being a R/T package right? it's not a complete sports but it has a motor 2 haul A$$

Nope. Basically the same 5.7 thats in the regular r/t, hemi ram, rumble bee ram, daytona ram, daytona charger..and on and on. The same engine with different paint and different price tags. Same performance, although in the charger i think the daytona has an intake bumping it up a whopping 10 hp.

  13. no delaware. and he sold the truck last year. its on the back cover of one of the ford performance mags. has black 20s on it.

Hmm guess theres more than one. Just thought it was a custom sticker or something.

  14. Good kill. I haven't gotten to play with any T's yet.

I think i've read some people have gotten the RCSB Tundra's into the high 13's low 14's stock. :dunno:

I think 14.18 is the record at tundrasolutions for a stock RCSB 5.7. I hit a 9.175 the other night in the 1/8 which is like a 14.2 (est.) but thats with intake and exhaust. But you know how it goes, no 2 trucks run the same, even with the same mods.

  15. yeah, you know it might be weird coming from a guy who owns a tundra, but regardless...If you call some one out to race and you lose, dont start bitchen and making excusses. If he new that the those tires and rims where heavy, they he shouldnt be calling people out. I wouldnt challenge an SS personaly unless I knew what exaclty the other guy was running. Although Stock for stock, the tundras are faster, the aftermarket for SS's is huge, while we are limited. I mean i think the fastest tunda around is in the low 13s with 100 shot of N02, while you have guys like chase in the 11's.

  16. I'll see if I can make it, if not this week maybe next week. I'm all stock though, but down to run.

thats cool bro, anytime man just hit me up with a PM if you can make it. loser buys beers.
