He said he tried to order a red one and was told he needs a v.i.n. #. Maybe it was for color. His rear bumper was rolled. His truck was red but not victory red. I think he was legit. I was just wondering if you need a v.i.n. to buy parts and if will trace back to you.

Somebody approached me in a parking lot and asked me if he could use my v.i.n. # to order a bumper cover for his Silverado. Caught off guard, I said I don't care. But I have a couple of issues with that. Will it be on my Carfax? Why would he need a v.i.n. # if anyone can buy one?

um.. need a little more information.. ?
like.. while your idling, driving, how fast, under throttle.. etc..
were you able to tell kind of where its coming from ?? is it associated with turning any devices on in the cab ? ( radio, onstar, climate control, cruise etc etc..)
if it smells like "belt" I would check your serp.. maybe a bad tensioner ?? yours could be slipping under throttle..
Just a stab in the dark...
Good luck
Thanks, probably the tensioner. And my battery is borderline bad when load tested for 5 seconds. I'll get that checked out.

I had severe grub problems for the past 5 years but this was my first year of lawn coming back. I used Grub-ex once and was not happy with the results (I know it takes time for it to work).
Do you care to use chemicals?
If not, just blast those bums with a load of Grub-ex like stated. Not only will it kill the grubs, but spread its chemicals all over the lawn and those Moles will get sick and die (depends on time; could be few weeks and their gone, could be a few years to develop cancer in their systems).
I do not apply any chemicals to my lawn for my dogs sake.
If you want to go the organic way, use Milky Spore. This is what I wished I had used a few years back.
Good point. I have dogs.

Sometimes I'll smell a burning smell and it will go away. Has anybody else experienced this? It smells like a supercharger belt but I don't have one. Vague description, but we all have the same trucks.

Thanks everybody. I'm getting some grubex and some mothballs.

My yard is being overtaken by moles. The ground collapses when I walk on it because of all the tunnals. I had them about five years and my dog got one three years ago. Does anybody have any proven ideas to get rid of them?

My church is decorating our trucks for a Halloween party. The truck is supposed to be church friendly and not scary to little ones, and engage the kids in some way. Someone else is doing a popcorn popper and movie theme. I wanted to do something Hawaiian because I like it and I already have Hawaiian carpets down. My wife wants to put sand in it and that's not going to happen. I'm looking for any ideas to trick this truck for Halloween. It's an '03 red SSS. This is going to be a fun project. I am open to any ideas. What ideas do you have?

Disturbing. I have seen the NASCAR limo somewhere. Tennessee maybe. Does this mullet make my butt look fat? Look, a sale on brahs and shaving cream. The goat is off the leash! Quick, pull the kids back. WalMart, weddings, family reunions, free valet parking.

Didn't notice you had 4wd. Mid 13's is what a rwd with your engine usually runs. 15.5 is a good time on mud tires and the added weight of 4wd.

New Guy Here! What Do You My 1/4 Mile Shoud Be, 06 Vmax
Right to the point, mid 13's. You should have 355hp rwd. AwdSS has 345hp and will do mid 14's.

The longer the better. Long tube will increase hoarse power, as much as 10% if you have the room for equal length haeders. Ceramic coating is also a benefit for keeping the gases hot and getting them out quicker. You will really notice a difference with long tube headers.

From what I gather, you can i.d. your bumper from the picture. I hope you, I maen they, catch the guy.

Check out todays active topics. JaymzSS has a blown one for sale for about the same price. He didn't post the mileage. May be worth a look.

Somebody get that cat a bowl!

The mods are good and not, "I did this, and now it don't run right.". That's the plus. 100,000 miles. Dings. You might have some wiggle room on that $19,000 price tag. But I would probably still lay down the cash. Real nice truck.

After reading about the truck thefts on the site, I decided it was time to upgrade my security. Ziebart installed the Pursuit that's made by Audiovox. The key fob arms and starts the truck from a quarter mile away, and lets you know it's armed or started or if the alarm is going off. They did a detail on it also. So I pick up the truck and it still has white specks on the driver's window that's been there for two weeks and I thought they would clean it off. The white specks turned out to be gouges in the glass. So I thought back to when I first noticed them, which was two weeks ago. Rewind two weeks ago Friday, I pull up to my house in my Neon at 11:30 p.m. My truck is parked out front. On the other side of the street where no one ever parks is a grey Taho, engine off, lights off, and a guy sitting in it. Thinking it was weird, I held my lights on him for a couple of seconds to see who he was. Small neighborhood. Everybody knows everybody. One way in and out. Did I keep going and turn around to get a plate number? No, I didn't. Now I think he was waiting for his buddy who was probably beating on my window before I pulled up. I have to buy a window and tint. It would have been nice to think about getting a plate number. What if I would have found my family tied up with no one to take my anger out on. If something looks weird, check it out.

That's funny.

damn man that sucks, sorry to hear what happened. I think a security section is a great idea. We better make it so only members can see it though, whats the point of a security section if everyone can see it... Good luck with all the insurance co. hassle youre gonna have to go through now
"Make it so only members can see." You got your thinking cap on.

Another arguement against side exit exhaust.

I get that noise through the onstar microphone in the headliner, even when the engine is shut off. I forgot to have that looked at and my truck was serviced this week.

Welcome to the site. Boston is the best place to be right now. There will be a lot of construction and plenty of work. Wish I could move there and drive a cement pumper.

I just got my 40,000 mile oil change. My last service was 16 months ago.

I was real impressed with the one I voted for. Of all the nice trucks here, it certainly was one of them. And that's saying something, don't you think? Seriously, the two tone one has great paint and will run like a scalded rat. It has that Foose look to it. I had to comment on it.
