  1. I would love to put my Sierra Denali on that show. How freaked out would the competiton be when they heard the Radix at full song as a behemoth of a truck wizzed by them at a 140 mph, and then did a U-turn in the middle of the road with QS. I looked into getting on that show, it is next to impossible. I wanted to represent the General with a truck that had some guts. All the trucks so far have been near stockers.

Heck my truck is like the 6 million dollar man. We have the technology to make it better. Everything has been replaced at least once. I don't think anything takes longer than a day.

  2. Heck mine just hit 100400. The other day a guy at work asked me in the parking lot if I had just bought my truck and that he thought they didn't offer QS anymore. I told him that I have had it since 2003 and he was shocked and said he would of never guessed by looking at it.

On the down side I have replaced the rear diff the front diff and the transmission. Along with a host of interior things like window motors and seat covers. To be fair the drivetrain has been supercharged since 70K.

  3. Sorry I left you all hanging. Doing a bathroom remodel and all my free time is GONE! Anyway. I looked for some actual pictures i had of the inside of the diff, and unfortunately I do not have any. If you interested in stub shaft shots and the flanges being removed I have a bunch of those.

Also thanks for posting the link. That is the kit I was talking about.

  4. Back in my younger years i used to work at a machine shop down down. The older guy i worked with had a bagged chevy. He welded a slide bar under the bed. When he was in a bad par of town he just dropped the bar to the pavement and locked it there. His wire wheels were through bolted on the hub so you could only remove them with the truck lifted. He kept it slammed when parked. He never had problems. They ended up ripping off the stereao out mf my Mitsu Mighty Max though.

  5. I just went through this today! I am very soar and tired. These diffs are a joke. I bought a reman for 875. When it arrived I was supprised because it was only the center section no axle flanges or stub shaft. I orded stub shaft bearing and seal from the dealer. I also picked up axle retainer rings. It took forever to get the old diff out becaust my center link was fused onto my pitman arm After having my puller fly of 20 times it finally let loose. Got my diff all tore down, the axle flanges pop out with one good wack with a BFH. I cleaned everything up and tried to install the axle flange when I realized the diff already had snap rings in it. Pulling the axle flange back out with the snap ring on it tore up the axle flange bearing and seal. So I ran all over to find one. I found a seal but had to scavenge the old bearing out of my old diff, so I took it apart. It is easy to get apart and now I wish I would of rebuilt it myself. No special tools were needed.Once you split the case the carrier falls out. The pinion comes out with a nut. The pinion is shimed and the carrier is adjusted with adjusters in the housing. Mine failed because on of the adjuster locks failed.

  6. Well I still may need parts! I picked up my Reman today and had a WTF moment. Here is what I got.

So as you can see there are no flanges or stub shafts and I am not sure what the number means on top. I counted the rotations it seems close to 4.10:1. The writing on top does not give me a comfy feeling. I am not even sure were to get bearings for my stub shaft. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

  7. So I finally got around to putting my new surge tank in. You will have to excuse my truck. It has been a HARD winter and I have been a little sore lately due to an ATV mishap. Any how, the unexpected part was getting the hoses rerouted fom the the radix proved to be a pain. The fitting are impossible to get to and then they did not want to turn without alot of persausion. After that all went well. I wish I would of got some before pics, this really cleans it up under the hood.

Here is the tank in place. The fender brace has to be removed to fill, but that is no big deal.

Here is the brace off and the fittings

Here is the location of the old tank I added a new fuse block cover and cleaned up the wires a little

I moved the pump up to this plate. I think it will help keep it clean and cool and hopefully extend its life.

Here is a shot of the intercooler routing. I reused my heater hose bracket

Here is my H2 intercooler, I have been contemplating a new one but I am proud of my brackets and this one is pretty robust.

  8. So the tank FINALLY came in. Man that took forever. I swear my head almost exploded. I got two tunes from Westers (Butch) and a set of Aerforce gauges in the time it took this tank to get here.

Well the good news is after some tweaking and getting handy with the welder, it fits like I intended it to. I measured something wrong and the tank was about .5 inches to wide. I may get the battery tray re-powder coated. So here are the pics. I hope I can pick up some lower IATs and make a little more HP :driving:

  9. Loading the engine differently can cause knock. With a lower stall the truck may have had mor momentum through that RPM range not requiring as much power or TQ. Now it spools up to that RPM before engaging. You may need to work on your timing and fueling, Maybe even shift points. Similar to a stick shift car. Depending were you take your foot off the clutch pedal the engine responds differently.

  10. The Radix on my truck is from an H2. The H2 pump will work but you will need adapter fittings I have them listed on the Denali site. You will need a new Intake tube the one from the H2 does not fit. The H2 intercooler is a stacked plate intercooler. It works pretty well. I had to fabricate my own brackets to mount it. I may be in the mood to sell them for the right price and then I would custom fit another intercooler possibly since I just upgraded my intercooler tank. Speeking of the intercooler tank you will need one of those and a mounting provisions. The H2 injectors work fine. If it does not come with injectors, the best bet in my opinion are the 45lb Marine injectors from Racetronix. Thats what I ended up going with cause my SC sat around to long. They really work well and I have been able to dial in fuel with no issues on a 3.10 pulley.

If you call David at Magnacharger he can set you up with most of this stuff. He only charged me about 75 bucks, but I think I got a swinging deal, once we started talking about cars and how I used to work at Roush.

  11. Holy cow! I just checked out your ride. You'll have to excuse me I spend most of my time on the SD site. I have been thinking about a new short block as my ride just clipped 100K. I was thinking of just getting a stock displacement forged setup. Maybe just turn the boost up a little. If the fuel system will handle it. Also were did you get your tank made it looks killer.

  12. Well I have been running my Radix 112 for a while now and I have been less than pleased with my intercooler tank. It takes up too much room by the fuse box, and the hoses route over a bunch of stuff I would rather they did not. Not to mention when it gets cold out (this is my DD) it leaks. So I decided to fix my problem in a big way. I found a guy who makes cutom tanks. I drew up prints for a tank that goes were the second battery would be. Even has tabs to utilize the battery mounting provisions. Here are the first finished pics I cannot wait to receive it. More pics to come when it is installed
