  1. Same one I'd like to get, awesome trans IMO, if I hadn't just got the radix I would consider this.
  2. Gets here next Wed, the 21st. Man I can't wait. Girlfriend is gonna be like: "what's that noise?" "No Clue..." "Pop you're hood!" After seeing it, "WHAT IS THAT!?" "Holy Shit, how'd that get there??!?" Haha, she is gonna be mad, guess I gotta start looking for her a toy now...
  3. Oh yeah, The trans should come pretty quick. The Radix was the most expensive buy for the truck. glad to have that monkey off my shoulder!
  4. Can't wait for it, lol The only thing(s) left are a FLT Trans and Baer Brakes, maybe some SS cladding... it's like crack, once you start you keep going. haha
  5. Man, I'm shakin' here, one of my biggest milestones with my truck is happening, Brian from Supercharger Connection told me the kit ships out either today or tomorrow... I'm so pumped, hope I can sleep tonight.. Big thanks to Bad Ass Silvy who pointed Brian out to me. Thanks a mill dude.
  6. E3's are pure junk, stay away from all of them, Like the other's said stick with stock or NGK for spark plugs
  7. That would make sense, the Hoe I worked on had 149,000 miles and the original coolant
  8. Dexa-Cool adds a coating to the inside of the cooling system from what im told, also you're able to run it longer than normal green, however there is a draw back to dexa-cool, it's corrosive, fairly, on these trucks as long as you flush them and maintain the system you should be fine, I was working on a 97 Tahoe, 5.7L all that jazz and one of the sensors I was trying to replace broke off, this one was directly in contact with the coolant. If you wish to flush your system and go green, I'd do it during summer and flush it out with pure water, when it finally drains clear, go green. or go orange, either why is good. I am curious what coolant the Supercharger guys are running? green or orange?
  9. Andy Rizzo, yes your correct, I'm thinking a 65-E myself. And I'll tell him Hi for ya!
  10. That's kinda what I was looking at, I contacted them and Aaron or someone sent me a message saying that they would lean to a level 4 or 5 at the most depending on future mods; I think I'm gonna stick with a 60-E, or 65-E, I really like the 700-R4 style trans. Thanks again for all the advice and input guys! Knew I could count on SSS.com
  11. Anyone got photos of the underside of a Gibbs fasica trucks so the difference can be seen?
  12. Thanks guys, I'm leaning to a Shift kit and Servos, I have a deep pan on the truck and royal purp in it now, I really don't go to the strip often, the truck honestly has never been, but I do tow a trailer with either a 31 Model A Rat Rod or a Cannon (Yes a Cannon, like Civil War Style, lol) I really want the Radix for more power towing, and just around town. I did however see a Level 7 FLT Trans on their website? would that be a good trans to look into, my trans already has 80,000 on it, did the fluid and pan at 65,000. Also my motor isn't the LQ9 like most you guys have, just a L59 5.3L, if that makes a difference, prob not...
  13. What's different about the 80's than the 60's install wise?? that's my biggest worry really
  14. Royal Purple makes a Auto Trak substitute as well. called Synchromax
  15. I'm about to install a MP112 Radix, and now that it's getting close I'm wondering, with the cat back exhaust, Volant CAI, and the Radix, with possible LT headers in the future and that's all the power adders I want, should I swap out to a 4L80-E, or build the 4L60-E in the truck? If 4L80 is the way to go, what's the relative ease of installing one, bolt right in plug n play, or is there a lot more to it? Any help with this will be awesome guys cuz like I said, the Radix will be here in like two weeks (My truck is a flex fuel, so gotta wait for the kit to come together) and I need to start thinking about anything that would F&*K up my daily driver.... Thanks
  16. Does the 4L80E pretty much bolt right in, or do it need all some kinds of fabing up?
  17. Thanks again Bad Ass Silvy, Brian is just what you said, a Stand up guy. 8hnpSS, you probably drive like I do, lol, that's why I'm looking into the trans now, I have billet servos from superior that I got off PerformanceTrucks.net, I want to get a TransGo shift kit, but was wondering if that would be enough to hold up to the power... hmmm guess I need to inquisitate on this some more, lol
  18. I finally am getting my MP112 Radix Flex Fuel Kit from 'The Supercharger Connection", my man Brian Zacuto is awesome. but while I'm waiting for it, I'm trying to get money saved for other things I believe I'm gonna need. After you guys installed your Radix kit, TVS System or what whichever you got, what Tranny, diff, transfer case mods did you guys do to make the truck realible. this truck is my DD. FYI, wasn't sure where to post this cause it covers a lot of stuff, but relates to the Radix install.
  19. Gotta say, I hate what I saw... But that shit needed Bod Seger's "Like a Rock" playing in the background.
  20. What would be the best thing for the trans to handle it? don't want to to blow out ya know...
  21. That puts me in a sound mind to it, I bought the truck with 18,000 on it and since then have ran full synth oil (royal purple) and flushed the trans (royal purple) and both diffs (also royal purple) truck runs fine, I don't have the evil 706 Castech heads on it and the truck is begging for more, but a part of me was kinda afraid to do it. Regardless I'm getting the radix because I want it and justifiy it with towing and fuel eco. lol Thanks again
  22. This seemed to be the best place to ask, my truck just hit 80,000 mi, and I want a radix, with headers, cat-back and CAI that's it, nothing real crazy, would it be in my best interest to not install it with what I think is high mileage, or would my 5.3L be perfectly fine??
  23. I was wondering what were the differences between the two in mounting, can the SS mounting hardware be used for the Gibbs cover? or not at all? any help with this would be great, I really wanna mount the gibbs cover right (or as best as possible)
