  1. Nu-Finish. I have not tried Adams or Zaino, but it has wiped Zymol and every other store bought product I have ever used off the map. Protects the paint and brings out a great polish. I do 3 coats (on top of other select products) and lasts me about all spring, summer, fall. Winter is a different beast.

Nu-Finish is good stuff, but it does mar the clearcoat and leaves spider webbing. After applying Nu-Finish it is highly suggested to follow with scratch/haze remover to eliminte the maring.

Also Nu-Finish will attract dust more than most in my opinion

  2. Just going through the threads cuz I need shocks.... Yall really threw Tony around on this one. He works his butt off for everyone, then gets 2 ppl to commit after I just read another thread and counted at least 15 lol.... Goes through all the bells and whistles, becomes a vendor, then gets no one... Really shady all... ANYWAY!!!

Sorry Tony, I will be buying your shocks, right now actually lol... no idea why i would need a swaybar, but it may be in the future. Ill be using you for any suspension related stuff in the future. thanks for all you do

    Happens everytime, nothing new

  3. Thanks for all the kind words everyone. I heard there was some sort of ruckus regarding my truck and I just got around to reading this.

I agree with most it is excessivly high priced but it only takes one.

Still boggles my mind that the guy that bought it from me chopped off the Corsa muffler and installed some pile of a Magnaflow muffler. Then sold the Corsa Sport muffler for $30 to boot! O well

  4. .

On a different note, I was reading up on meth injection, and more importantly, getting ready to order my 2300 soon and thinking I want to go polished. Where did you get your meth reservoir so I can polish it to match the blower?

You wont regret spending the extra money to get it polished. Thats gonna be killer

And I never had a methenol tank. I ran nitrous

  5. A lot of members may have sold their trucks and moved on to something else newer. You gotta think a lot of older members bought these trucks new from 03-06, which were in the 40k area new. And people joining are probably paying around the15k for their trucks, so different crowd and characteristics

    This

  6. That "ram air" tube isnt gonna make that much of a difference. It might in a cooler day like what you had, but really its next to nill. Think about it. That intake on the air tube is closer to the ground. Heat rises. On a hot day you are taking the hottest temps from the track and right in the tube. The logic is great, but I dont believe in it.

Tailgate, sure. You can take it off. But are you gonna tell ol boy on the west side of 435 "hey hold off, let me take my tailgate off before we race" Run it as it is.

Im not saying fill the gas tank full, or have 2 15 inch subs in the back with dual amps with car seats. But just run it. For what you are trying to do you need to run it like you would on the street. Once you get your truck up to what you feel comforatable, then start to take off these small things to mabye cut a time a little quicker for time slip purposes.

  7. Good times

Listening to your launch......I really think you wont be disapointed in that converter after the blower. Someone might call my BS.....but I would put a bill on decent 60fts and times after that listening to the take off.

I say this because it seems like it bogs down quite bit when you launch. That positive displacement blower will flash that converter a lot hotter. Much hotter actually.

Glad you had fun. Also remember...when you are at the track trying to get a baseline it doenst matter who you are racing. Dont worry about that tree. You could sit at the starting line for 4 hours then take off and your time will be the same. Reaction times are only for bracket racing. Work on your 60ft times and different ways to launch to see what works best for your setup. That isnt what test and tune is really for. Its not about "racing" whoever is in the next lane, its about seeing what works and what doesnt for your ride.

You see guys get butt hurt on dyno numbers and track times all the time. Modding isnt bolting on and go. Thats why they call it "test and tune". Get a baseline and go from there.

  8. I can't see how after your Maggie the stall speed would increase? That's it flashpoint and won't change unless there's a huge sudden hit over power like spraying out of the hole

Think about this comment a little more....you might of just answered your own question

It sucks when things don't come together perfectly, but that is modding my friend. But when it finally does come together, you won't be able to beat the smile off your face lol.

    Bingo
