  2. thanks guys. hopefully i can get something figured out with this tonight before i take it to the dealer and get raped with a giant bill!
  3. Had it disconnected for about an hour and nothing changed. Does anyone know how to actually test the bcm? i assume thats a dealer only opperation.
  4. Looks good chase! With those DJM upper control arms do you think there is enough room to run coilovers? truck should handle really nice once you get it dialed in.
  5. Well I just disconnected the battery, lets see what that does. Thanks for the quick reply paulguy!
  6. Well that would make sence. So does that mean the BCM just fried?
  7. So after driving my truck today for a few errands, I go to leave work and notice that my drivers window wont roll down??? So i just assume the switch went bad. I didn't have time to work on it right when I got home. So a little bit ago I went out to mess with it and notice I don't have over head dome lights or dash lights either?? So I've did a quick check of the fuses and all appears to be good. Now I'm not so sure as to what has caused this? I wasn't aware that all these items were linked together or why i can roll the left window up and down and the gear selector window lights up and adjusts with the dimmer switch. Any ideas guys?? thanks gary

  17. Got home late Sunday night from my two day trip home from Brunswick, GA. SInce late October I've been at school in Brunswick at the Federal Law Enforcement Traning Center. The wife flew down Thursday night and graduation was Friday afternoon. So after almost 5 months of school finally get to say im a FEDERAL AGENT!!! :dbanana: I had my truck with me while i was down there and she didnt give me a lick of trouble. The only thing i had to do was an oil change. We loaded up and left Saturday morning around 8 and headed to St. Louis to stay with my wifes aunt and uncle. A little over 13 hours of straight driving. Went out with the wifes cousin that night scence we got there about 8:30. The next day we had a shorter hall to Topeka, KS to pick our daughter and the wifes tahoe. We get to Topeka have dinner with my parents and load up for the last stretch to Wichita. We get on the road about 8:30 Sunday night. The entire time I was in the the south I said that I missed the snow. Who would have thought my wish would come true in the form of me and the wife driving home in a freak blizzard!! Lucky for us it wasn't sticking to the ground, maybe an inch of so of slush. Thanks to the AWD I made it back with very little effort, while the wife followed in her 4wd tahoe with A/T tires like it was nothing! The snow flakes were so big with my HID's it was a B*@%H to see the road. After 5 months of school, about 1400 miles there and1400 miles back, the truck performed great!! She's got almost 97K on the clock now and I cant wait to add a few more goodies in the future. With many spirited bursts on the trip and some bumper to bumper traffic in Atlanta and KC, she averaged almost 15mpg. Can't complain about that. Well just wanted to tell you guys another great story about our awesome trucks. Later, Gary.
  18. wow. and i thought the 26's were too big!!!!
  19. glad to hear your doing better. you'll never forget your dad, you'll just learn how to deal with him being gone. keep your head up and enjoy one of the best trucks on the road gary
  20. Not to hijack your thread, but what kind of hit have you guys seen on mpg's or any negative's to switching to the 80e. doesn't it have a worse overdrive gear than the 60e? how much more power does the 80e take up?
  21. I would say it's out of a 88-94 C/K Truck or SUV.
  22. looks sick man!! you going with 15" rotors?
  23. so shaun have you had time to meet with this guy yet? any idea what final design its going to be? ...................
  24. find out the brand and then check the part number for the hummer and your sss and if its the same number it should work. if not its a trial and error whether it will fit. good luck. gary
