Hptuners repository has lots of stock files, when I was tuning my truck I left the front o2's in so it can run closed loop then just pull the back drivers side o2, they were deleted anyways. But yea you can tune it in open loop and then close it back up after you're done. Hell my truck is running OLSD full time. No problems here.

I have a 5.3 i'm tearing into as well, my plans were to just put a nice cam in it, and replace the pistons with 4.8 pistons and replace the rings. The 4.8 pistons are flat tops and will get you more compression over the 5.3 dished pistons. Might as well throw in ARP bolts wherever you can and maybe some nice clevite bearings too.

Yes this looks like mine.

Fuel pressure! I like autometer, but I love my AEM wideband.

yea if you have deep pockets, a FAST intake would look nice and get you more power -

tbss intake, 4 bolt throttle body, and x-link. I believe thats all -
swapping lq9 intake to ls1 intake
The_aSSet replied to Mr.RNR's topic in Engine Tech And Modification
you will lose torque due to the runner design, the truck manifold is better. if you want a different intake get a tbss or 07+ with the bigger tb. but youll need an x-link for those as well. money spent elsewhere would be a better choice in my opinion -

Why would you want to swap? you will lose power and its a huge pain in the ass. -
Its fairly decent in my amateur opinion. Although tricky if you're driving and tuning, easy to goof something up(ask me how I know lol)

Times look familiar lol very nice 60'!

I'm working on the electrical next week. That should take care of the weirdness and the iat heatsoak issue. Other than that the paint & bracket hasn't been touched yet. I might do that next week while i'm working on it though. Ill get pics of the paint spots
