so i just talked to him and he wants to see if our buddy can sand down my bumper and cladding and use plastic filler and re-paint it
the bumper is not attached anymore on the passenger side cause he like snapped it off the plastic retainers and clips or what not

so the dude was driving drunk?
no everybody else was drunk, thats y he had to drive. i was in my buddies truck waiting for him to pull out and follow him to this party and watched him hit it. i was parked next to him but our driveway is at an angle and he parked straight in the driveway rather than with the angle and i was halfway in the grass and driveway and he just backed up and hit the rear passenger cladding and pulled the bumper with it and cracked the corner and ripped it off the mounts just on that side.

haha. its cracked and wont sit on the metal smooth. and this is different friends. ppl im GOOD friends with. it was a drunk/ buzzed accident. he just wasnt paying attention.
and shaun on the parked thing, my other ride is a 94 cavi with 180k miles bought for $1100. the transmission and a/c went out same time lol. ill get a pic of the beast but its at the farm instead of the truck. i needed a vehicle and look what i get for not keeping it in the barm
im gonna see if my roommate will write me a check for 400 bucks for the bumper. how much do they actually cost brand new? and no the cladding wont be able to be just painted because it dug a seem in the plastic. gonna try and get a bser if he writes me a check and my buddy eric (crf250rider) lives down the street and has a friend back home that will paint it for 100 bucks so if i can get it its n the bag

yea thats a little slow. with longtubes and a good tune u should be in the mid 14.xx's to low 14's. all of the tracks around houston are never too hot and of course elevation is basically nothing so im thinking its the humidity and what not. did u get a live tune from charlie?

i didnt say he wasnt. im gonna talk to him when his girlfriend goes back home today and see i he wants to write me a check or get his insurance handled.. since my bumper is hanging by a thread, literally, its gonna need to be replaced or have something else.. im thinking bser roll pan if i can find one cheap or what not

well long story short, my roommate backed into my truck last night after i got through saying dont back straight up. our driveway is at an angle and so my truck was. he drives an f250 turbo diesel with a ranchhand rear bumper so a lot of weight + that = scratched rear cladding and bumper.
on another note, i had a tire go flat so i had to go get a new one. what do u know, they dont have my tire in stock so i had to BUY a yokohama for 184 bucks, order my 2 other tires and since i dont have a spare i bought a liquid metal black 22" for 75 bucks. they wouldnt take the yoko back so i had a brand new tire for no reason.
and on top of that, i heard a loud hum from the from of the truck, took it to the shop, driverside hub assembly was bad. so my total for tires + rim was $826, and then hub assem plus ball joint, shock and labor was $634. cant wait to see what needs to be done to my cladding. its plastic as all of you know so it cant be BUFFED out, so its gonna need to be re-painted. and my bumper is off center and missing paint as well.

i think mines on the verge of going out as well. mine has noticeably increasing in the humming sound. especially when i slow down. after 50mph i cant hear it but it is def coming from the front end. even though i had the front diff and rear diff both rebuilt at 90k......

anyone have problems with their tinted tails? i NEVER have problems with getting pulled over in college station cause every vehicle has tinted tails and mine arent even dark. well 2 weeks ago i got a ticket for no front license plate (even though it was in the windshield cause i dont have a mounting bracket) and a warning for tails. well today a different state trooper had someone pulled over and i passed him not speeding in the slow lane actually and he looked at me and continued his thing. like 5 miles ahead i got off the highway with him no where in sight to stop at the gas station to meet my dad on our way back from the farm and sure enough he some how magically caught up to me and pulled me over.....
and he asked "did u spray paint your tail lights?" i wanted to bitch slap him and say no ****, they a professionally tinted and pass inspection and are reflective up to 1000 feet (which they really are so technically they ARENT illegal). it was just a warning so im not gonna worry and i switched my tails with my friends for now.

Hey sorry to bother man, can I ask why you like the autozone intake better?
its a 4" intake with massive filter and it looks cool.... i have never seen any numbers from it but it works great. i dont have one but my buddy who bought my old truck does and loves it.

dude dont go to those. the boss 330's look awesome on ur truck and they are lighter than those replicas and the matte black wont look as good as the gloss boss rims...

and as far as intake, it really doesnt matter. i have a k&n and my buddy has the autozone spectre kit and i like his more... also half the price

not to b rude but u dont need to buy an ss if u have different intentions. for one from the FACTORY it says to run 93 octane. some ppl can get away with 89 but its a higher compression motor. and 2nd. go buy a 4x4 and put a/t on it. its a DAMN SPORT TRUCK not a mud racer. its designed for the street, hence the tuned suspension and lower riding height with larger motor. its the most luxurious SPORT truck around. yea the lightning is faster but these trucks are not meant to be a pos offroad machine.
i think u need to look into a different truck if ur plans are to lift it. there has been many lifted sss trucks. u wont find a member here with one because everyone laughs at lifted sss because they are not intended for those reasons.
