  6. Remove the bolt completly. The nut is next to the engine and is captive on a L shaped bracket. Turm the BOLT with a 15 mm wrench and remove it. Slide the black cover piece up toward the fire wall and back. Repeat about 10 to 15 times to distribute the grease in the tube. Line up the holes again and tighten the bolt and nut assembly. Do not leave the L bracket touching the shaft as this will cause a vibration. 15 minutes tops for the whole thing. CD
  7. Send a PM to Zippy and I think he can fix you up with no problem. Didn't see what part of Texas your are in, but Allan Nelson http://www.nelsonperformance.com/ can do a face to face tune for you also. There are many good LS1 shops in the Dallas, Fort Worth area. Check around on Performancetrucks.net and LS1Tech.com and you will find many places that can help you. Enjoy the SS !! CD

  12. This is about the same Craftman unit I have, but mine is a touch smaller. It does great and came with a 3/8 rachet and hoses. I made a "T" connection out to my carport and just plug up out there to work on the cars. Go to Sears.com and look up this "Sears item #00916732000 Mfr. model #16732". This is about the smallest I would go with. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, CD

  22. Thought I would just paste what I found. "Install PCM per Mister P How To... 1) Try to start the truck(it should start but die right away)leave the key in the on position for atleast 11 minutes (the security light will remain on for 8-10 of those minutes).... 2) AFTER the 11 minutes the light should have gone out (if not thats ok), now turn the key to the off position for about 30 seconds. Now try to start the truck again and it should start and die right away, Leave key in the on position. 3) Once again w/o turning the key to the off position, Let the truck sit for 11 minutes, after 11 minutes then turn the key to the off position for 30 seconds. 4) Retry again to start truck, it will die again and follow same thing as before for the last time. After the third time it should start right up. And then you can go test out the new beast P.S. Make sure to turn headlights off, radio, subs, amps and any other accessories....Since this process takes 30+ minutes your battery may die if you are blasting your radio while trying to be patient" CD
  23. It will most likely Relearn and adjust. I would drive it. CD
  24. 2 3/4" inlet - dual 3" outlet from the muffler, and about 31/2 " near the tip. CD
  25. PLEASE ! Just get a real tune somewhere, not a handheld. The hand units have come a long way, but not what some one like Jessie can give you. Not sure you can sell the Hypertech or if it would work after it has been "married" to your truck, others may know. CD
