I can get a set of heads P&P for around 150 bucks through a local builder here. So I can get the LS6 heads and then P&P for about 700 bucks. Im not gonna do all of this at one time. Im just gonna get things piece by piece for a top end build as well as get a stal and 4L80 trans. This will take me time to do as well as money. Then after that Ill concern myself with the bottom end of the engine.

So would that net in the same tq and hp rating as getting LS6 heads?
-
Well the LS6 heads would be more cheaper for me but Ive found a set of each of them on Ebay for around 500 bucks with the buy now option. I know there will be more cost weith the L92 heads by changing the fuel rails, tb, and intake. However the cost will be worth it in the end. I was thinking about P&P the LS6 heads if I got them though. What thickness of head gaskets should be used and what kind of valvetrain parts should I look into?

Hey guys I was talking to a local guy who has a beefed up SS who is also on here. He has a 3200 stall w/4l80 and a set of L92 heads and a cam setup. He told me that getting a set of L92 heads and doin a similar setup he has would be good but Ive also been lookng into a set of LS6 heads. Now what would be the difference in these 2 far as compression, gains, flow and such? I know there is modifcation to be made to the fuel rail and a few other things for the L92's so would it be the same for the LS6 heads? I just need good info on which is better and such. Im not sure what cam I will end up runing but I know it will be a good NA cam for now and will bro do a 2800 or 3k stall at some point. I did a lil searching on hee and came up with some info but I was wanting to see what you guys say. I dont know a lot about heads so please be gentle, lol thanx guys, Chris

Hey guys I got the idea of painting my engine covers as a few others have done on here. My idea is since I nicknamed the truck "Blue Devil". I was gonna have a blue devil of some kind airbrushed on there with the name Blue Devil on it with some blue flames on the side pieces as well or something. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions to add please do. Let me know guys.

I really love that vette but I could do without the number on the sides. The first thing that came to mind when I hard the name was Need For Speed: Carbon, lol. -
Does anybody got a source on a cheaper lo pro cover. I find them for 400-500 bucks and I know you can find them cheaper, but Ive not had much luck. I checked e-bay and found some for around 350. Also will a lo pro cover work in conjunction with a ISS wing alright? I got one for my xtreme when i had it for around 200 but I cant remmeber where I got it from.

Thanx guys! I still gotta put on the Belltech shocks and take the Belltech bumpstops back off and mount them to the frame as its riding on the bump stops lol. Actually I have a set of Doug Throley Lts that Im puting on in the next couple weeks alond with a new exhaust setup. Then Ill prob port the TB and then go internaly on the engine after that. It alread has a basic tune so I got the rear 02s already shut off. -

LOl well it happend cuz the pics are up LOL I stil lhave to put the shocks on and take the Belltech bumpstops and mount them to the frame. -
Here they are the pics of the truck after being lowered with a Belltech 2/3 drop kit from NorcalSS. I still have to put the shocks on which will be done soon. I also removed the antenna and moved it to the inner fender and used the Escalde cowl piece to cover where it was. I also removed the tow hitch. remoced antenna antenna new location and mount Last pic is blurry but I just used one small L-bracket to mount the antenna then used wire ties in the fender.

Yea but I didnt think it would settle as much as it did. We raised the t-bars back up tonight and so far the entire truck sits at 32 3/4 . Almost on the mark all around. Ill take pics tomorrow and post them in the pics section. -

Ok I picked up truck today but the front is still a tad lower than the back after we adjusted the t-bars. I can get 2 fingers in the rear fender well but I cant in the front. Im going to take measurements tomorrow and see how it sets. I may have to lift the t-bars back up.
