Wow that is sexy! Hey I may have some engine covers that would match up nice if he is interested. Im not sure I want to sell them yet but if I change intake manifolds I want be needing them anymore and they need to be on a nice truck! Just a feeler but check them out, got them from Dentguy back when i bought a bunch of his procharger stuff.
***well the file is to big but i think they are still in an old thread i'll get pics
Is that white truck got some stripes? looks like stripes on the hood or stripe decals just pulled off, i have stripes and want them painted on and just looking around to see what else is out there before they become that permanent
I didn't post up the pic of the white truck but it looks like a stripe one the side of cowl induction with some silver airbrushing inside the stripe.

Huh? Im lost on that one. A silverado ss rear end is not strong enough to work by itself? Is that what u are saying?
I think if it ever hooked up, the rear end would fail very quick (if it hooks). I would definitely look at some rear end upgrades. are you going to be doing rolling starts or digs?

I told the guy this isn't a procharger and he said well it mounted like one... I'm p/o...

So I finally got to go see the supercharger and talk to the guy. He opens the box up And its not even a procharger. It an older right hand side mount whipple..... I was ready to buy... Sorry I waisted your guys time..

My friend is in the middle of putting aan ls3 376/480 in his Silverado. Iam the only one in my area with tuning software but I'm still in learning stages. Would it be unwise to just load a stock ls3 tune in the trucks ecm and see what that gets us? One problem I see is that an auto ls3 tune is going to be for a 6l80 trans and his truck is equipped with a 4l60... Any advice?
The engine is going into a 2008 Silverado nbs.

I will talk to him tomorrow if he's back and quiz him. But its looking like I'm going to get, its not like it can't be fixed.

I see, I thought if it was 05 and older you could do the cos5, my bad.

First time I meet chief he challenged me to a race lol. Now that he's got a even bigger turbo for the red truck just means I have an even less chance of beating it lol.
Man I hope you take him, I don't care where or when. I don't know any of them but seem like a bunch of jokers but who knows how much of it is for the show. I think its bs that they trailer all there cars and all that non sense, doesnt seem like true street racing..... Bla bla... I love your build man!! Wish I could see it run!! Hope to seem some awesome footage.

Awesome truck! I WISH I had those fabricating skills, everything is so neat and clean, the welds are amazing! Should be rock solid for a long long time, nice.

Man I don't know much about your problem, but you could try the old spraying some eather around the intake. A little leak at idle could be a big leak at wot with boost.
-
I think I'm just gonna buy it from and see how it goes, guess if it is the HU I'll just find a d1 to put in its place
-
He has had it tuned by three different places and they all tell him that the procharger is the problem.
-
Why don't you just have your tuner setup a cos5 setup for nitrous in the computer? When your nos switch is on the cos5 will kick in for nitrous, when your off nos it'll go back to your reg tune.
-
Just get a straight shot with your nozzle about 2-3" in front of the TB.
-
I think its tuning issue to, he's the type to just get rid of something and try something else. I was thinking he was having a boost leak maybe...

Lsa is just a smaller displacement super charger than an ls9. Youd have to run a zr1 or cts-v/ Lsa belt system, custom hoses on power steering and a/c. The heads for the Lsa and ls9 are based off an ls3.
Definitely way more of a pain in the ass than what's it worth. The belt system swap alone to run the supercharger would be stupid expensive.

My buddy has an 05 ss with a procharger. He has pulled the procharger off the truck for performance issues. He has had the system since brand new. He has had the the hu gone through twice by procharger. Long story short I'm trying to buy the kit off him for little of nothing. He says one day the truck would run super strong and the next day it'll just fall on it face. I think its a tuner problem or installer error. He doesn't remember if they did an sd or maf cl tune so that doesn't help any. Anyone else have problems similar to these with a procharger? Thanks all.

If you have a stock 5.3 save the ls6 intake, than you can go here...
Down load the tune that matches your O.S. which is 12216125, and compare them to your tune. These tunes are stock, If all of the stock hardware and emissions equipment are installed, start by returning your commanded fuel tables back to stock. BTW, that operating system is from a flex fuel truck and is set up for the Flex Fuel injectors, which injectors are you running, this could be another reason why your are bogging down.
