  1. Just like the title states, looking for a complete stand alone nitrous fuel system for my 05 truck. Let me know what you have!!!Thanks!
  2. Looking to build a spare iron 6 liter and need some parts! Im looking for a set of good forged pistons for a iron 6.0 liter(std bore but will take .030 over too),H beam rods, and a set of stock l92 heads. Let me know what you have. Thanks!!!
  3. How fast is to fast???When it makes so much hp that you cant drive 100 miles w/o stopping for fuel!!! Seriously though,to much is just enough for some!!! Id say well over 1000hp to the rear wheels. After a while,no matter how much hp your car/truck makes, its bound to get old as you get used to it! I have several 500+ hp cars(3) and 2 500+hp truck's with the most powerful being my 85 Grand National that makes 680rwhp and if I had the $$$$,theyd all make a billion hp!!! Personally,id say to much hp is when it affects being able to drive the vehicle on a daily basis w/o it breaking down.
  4. Thank you!! Alot easier to type that than all the others replying,"it can be done, search"!!!! Getting to ls1tech around here with answers like that and thats no good for anyone!!!! I really think this should be a "sticky" or at least in a FAQ list!! Thanks again!!!!
  5. I have searched and searched and for every 1 that says it can be done, there are 2 that say it cant be done w/o damage!!! I learned a LONG,LONG time ago that you have to take what you read on the internet with a grain of salt and if there are conflicting anwsers for both sides,JUST ASK!!!! And what is this special way to do it w/o damage you guys are speaking of??? LIKE I SAID,SEARCHED AND SEARCHED AND THERE ARE WAY TO MANY CONFLICTING ANWSERS!!!! Hence why I asked and explained that there were to many conflicting anwsers to make a decision either way!!! Please let me know, Thanks!!
  6. On a nv149 SSS transfer case, can you pull the front drive shaft out to do a RWD dyno pull without damaging anything??? I have seen MANY people saying YES and NO and most of the trucks I have found that did pull the front shaft out were in the 300-330rwhp range, couldnt find anything over 335rwhp.... I KNOW that it cannot be driven without the front shaft without causing major damage.... This is an almost 600 fly wheel hp engine (570 before being broken in and only pulled to 6500 on LME's Superflow dyno),408 w/ l92 heads,2005 Escalade EXT with a built 4l65/3200 PI multi disk with a nv 149 SSS transfer case swapped in.... Nearest AWD dyno is 3 hours away so almost out of the question. My tuner has his own dyno w/ eddy brake and is 10 minutes from the house so if I can pull the front shaft, thats def the way id want to go!!! Anyone here with a higher hp truck pull the front shaft and dyno without any damage? Hoping I can see what she'll do NA with the new Holley LS3 intake(bad mofo BTW!!!) before I put on the 2 stage Cold Fusion Nitrous plate w/ NOS Super Powershot solenoids for the 1st stage and NOS Super Pro solenoids for the 2nd stage.Planning on a 250hp-300hp total hit w/ progressive controller,100hp 1st stage and 150hp 2nd.Will be using Nitrous Outlets stand alone tank/pump combo with 116. Thanks!!!!
  7. China turbo quality has come a long way!!! A friend of mine actually builds the turbo's for STS and they are China parts.... PM me and ill send you the builders number,he will hook you up and he stands behind his product!
  8. Im using the Denso Supra Twin turbo pump. OEM reliability with all the fuel flow most will ever need. With a hotwire kit,you are looking at around 330lph,around 750hp. Alot better choice then the Bosch 044 or Walbro thats been the staples for many years. Also alot quiter.... All you have to do is hold 1 in your hand to see the difference!!A Walbro is about the size of a can of Red Bull while a Denso is about the size of a coke can!
  9. The reason why a GN is a turd when not in boost, its the same 3.8 engine in MILLIONS of other Regals,Cutlass',Monte's,and the like. They put in a good crank(although plenty of guys going fast with the stock na cranks,GN has rolled fillets on rods and mains where NA has rolled only on rods, your welcome LS1;)),added fuel injection/intake,and a turbo. My car runs 19# without meth,GN's arent like alot of other cars and its all in the tune. Some can only get away with 14-15# befpre detenation but every car is different.Plus there are alot of other variables like stock or ported heads, camshaft, turbo size, exhaust, and timing. On meth, which we Buick guys have been running for years,I can run close to 30# and 7 degrees more timing.Single nozzle kit from Julio Don,aka Alky Control, hes a Buick guy too and makes the best alky kits IMO.He was the one to have the 1st 100% meth compatible pump. Alot of GN ares heavy, add T Tops and a fully loaded car and itll tip the scales at 3800-3900,most hard tops with low options are around 3600.Add heavy performance parts like SS exhaust, body bracing, multi disc convertor, steel ds, a few hundred pounds of stereo gear with dynamat, and its 4200 and I weigh 200=4400# If you include the price of the car a few years back when LS1's were still bringing $15k+,back then dollar for dollar,a LS1 couldnt touch a GN unless you were running nitrous. Now a days, with there being MANY good $5k-$6k LS1 cars, your statment is 100% true.Although a well dialed in GN with a stock motor(exhaust, downpipe, inj's,fuel pump.and a stall converter)and say a well dialed in 99-00 z28(turbo kit, inj's,fuel pump and stall converter) and both running 61mm turbo's and race gas,I think the GN would win every race although youd be running 30+# of boost where as the LS1 with 100+ extra cubic inches would be limited to running probably 10# of boost. The best a stock longblock GN with a 61mm turbo has run is 10.50's in the 1/4 mile. You never heard me say LS1's werent fast or bad ass though!!!!Hell, the only reason my truck has all the mods it does because coming from being a die hard GN guy, these LS motors are dirt CHEAP!!I did all the stuff to my Escalade for what I probably have in my transmission and bolt on's in my street GN.For what I have in the stock motor in my race GN,I could buy a Vette.Ive like GN's since my cousin took me for a ride in hers when I was 9-10 years old. When I could afford to have a bad ass one, thats what I built! As far as flat footing out of the whole, never had a problem with it,as long as you dont cheap out on the converter, the boost will come on quick.Spend $900-$1000 and you wont have any problems!!One with a properly setup converter might just surprise you how quick it will come up on boost!!Like 0 to 20# in less than 2-3 seconds. Its all in the setup, just like any other car!! Ive seen modded z06's run low 14's and 1000hp Supras run 14's,bad drivers shouldnt come into the picture!!!lol Heres another fact that I couldnt get most here to beleive....Do you think you could make 1000hp and run 8's with a 70mm q trim turbo in a 3600# car???Most will say not a chance in hell but GN guys have been doing it for over 4 years!! You are also right that a 6.0 has way more potential for just a small bit more $ than turbocharging his 4.3 v6,esp since you can get a good 6.0 for $1200-$1500! I was impressed with the 1st LS1 I saw taken apart almost 10 years ago.The dual knock sensors and 6 bolt mains had me drooling!!!lol It was a blown up engine out of a friends 99-00 z28 with exhaust, cold air,and a PI multi disk....like any engine, some will hold rediculous amounts of power, others will blow just above stock power levels! Point I was trying to make is a turbo v6 would be cool becuase its different!!Lets be honest, ill bet there is easily 3x as many turbo LS engines running around as GN's and Syclones/Typhoons total production runs!!! Again,I agree a turbo 6.0 would definetly have ALOT more potential than a turbo v6 while being alot more reliable but theres nothing wrong with being different!!! Or is there?lol And you have to admit, most would be alot happier smoking someones ass with a v6 which SHOULDNT be fast vs a v8 that already has the reputation of being bad ass even before a turbo is added!!
  10. Who the hell is bragging about ANYTHING???I pointed out the GN as being a car with a v6 that is heavy and fast.My Caddy was a point of how good it is to smoke someone in somthing that shouldnt be fast like a turbo v6 Silverado. No relation???Yea,a GN has a HUGE engine, its 3.8 liters.I guess youve never seen one up close or cant read because its on the hood of every GN 2x and 1 on the rear(the best look youll get!!) They cant all have cool red racing stripes!!!hahahahahaha Yes I think you need to grow up and get your head out of the clouds or out of your ass because it certainily isnt bragging!!!
  11. Whos bragging?? Im just stating facts.... I think i got your point quite well actually, you just dont know what the hell you are talking about!!lol Not even going to try to argue with someone who does not understand ANYTHING with an engine CAN be made fast.
  12. LOL,carried away?? My street GN weighs 4400 lb's with me in it and has run 6.80's in the 1/8 on radials on 19# and pump gas.Pretty fast for a "shitty" v6. My car aint that much lighter than a pickup but you are right,it is lighter. And yes an iron duke will haul ass if it has a properly designed and tuned turbo system.Cubic dollars can make ANYTHING fast. Ill bet $$ there are turbo Yugo's somewhere in this world that would smoke your trucks ass!!!And a 4cyl iron duke that will too..... Are there easier ways to go fast??? HELL YES!!! Cheaper ways to go fast?? HELL YES!!! Cooler ways to go fast??? HELL YES!!! Nothing like the look on some punk ass bitchs face when he gets his "fast muscle cars" ass handed to him by somthing that shouldnt be fast!!! Just like the modded Z06 Vette I SMOKED at the track a few weeks back in my NA CADILLAC ESCALADE.He ran 8.0's to my 7.80's and the look on his face and others was worth every penny I spent!! Someday when you grow up a bit more, youll probably come to realize that anything fast is cool, even a Honda(lol)!!! Doesnt mean youre going to go buy 1 as I sure as hell wouldnt unless I want somthing that gets good gas mileage!!
  13. You and stg1313 can go spend $1400 on a set of front and rears then;) Or if youd have been a wise consumer, youd have saved $325 plus shipping costs!!! $325 can get you a nice set of SS longtubes!!!Or a number of other nice hot rod/appearance parts! Its not like you cant buy the fronts elsewhere.....more like,"Im a window shopper" LOL Seriously, that comment is more money than sense at its finest!!!Please dont take offence to what I wrote, yall made your observation's and I made mine! SOLD!! Actually, traded for a 2004 LQ4 long block that has been disassembled/vatted/new cam bearing's.Its good to have. Its good to have a spare engine, esp when you trade somthing for it!! Guys wanting this missed 1 hell of a deal,HALF OFF!!!! SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD
  14. As for adding a turbo to a V6,I guess alot of you guys dont remember Grand Nationals??? The car that brought turbocharging into the main stream car world??Have we all forgotten Buddy Ingersoll.... And the heads are ALOT crappier than the WORST 4.3 head... Anything with a turbo can haul ass,as long as its tuned correctly, you might just be surprised just how fast a v6 can be!!! I know my street GN will put most LS1 F bodys to shame, even turbo 1's!!
  15. Gaskets and x link, its a direct bolt on deal!!
  16. Holley intake is here and needs to go!! Lowered price to $650 shipped plus PP fees!
  17. Seeing as a stock junkyard 4l80 would handle the power you are making,it isnt that impressive!!lol $1100 for shift kit and servo install is getting ass RAPED!!! I have a fully built 4l65 from Extreme Automatics and I only paid $2000 plus the price of the billet input and output shaft(I think I paid around $450 for both)Its working GREAT in my 570hp 408/l92 Escalade.Im really impressed for the $$$$ spent!!! And it doesnt shift to hard at all with the biggest 2nd and 4th servo's made...
  18. With the brackets that are included these are made to work with stock calipers.... Or they can be used with the z06 calipers if you have the adaptors...
  19. Heres a picture as these are also on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180716214930&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:MOTORS:1123
  20. It looks just like a factory TBSS and 08 up 6.2 factory manifold...there are pics of the porting on pt.net.
  21. Gonna be swapping to the new Holley LS3 intake(turbo is in the works too) so my ported truck intake has to go.Intake will come complete minus injectors. The rails have been modified to fit the LS3 car injectors without the need for spacers(I was running the stubby 60# inj's)Also includes a ported 4 bolt 90mm truck TB.Also will include stock GM intake gaskets. Intake,TB,and rails were bought brand new from my local GM dealer and sent into Corey for porting.Intake has maybe 200 miles of use. The intake really is a work of art and the porting is the best I have ever seen, esp considering the fact it is plastic! For those of you who arent familiar with them,Corey actually cuts the intakes in half and ports them! This intake made 17hp more than a FAST LS3 intake on LME's Superflow Engine dyno on my 408/L92 engine.Make the most out of your LS3/L92 heads while looking stock and making more HP than a FAST car intake!! I also have a set of ARP intake bolts that I will sell to the buyer of the intake for an extra $40. Looking to get $650 shipped plus PP fees. Thats 1 hell of a deal when you consider the intake porting runs $450+shipping,another $125+shipping for the TB porting, plus another $100 to mod the fuel rails.Thats $675+ shipping not counting the price of a brand new or used L92 intake manifold, throttle body, and fuel rails!!
  22. Sweet!! Any links to the throttle body?? And is the 102mm tb bolt on for dbw trucks??Just wondering if it requires the Dr X adaptor or if it is a cable operated tb? Look forward to seeing power increases!!
