  1. Katech sells HD tensioners for pick up trucks(also F bodys and Vettes),I think Comp Cams also sells an HD tensioner for the trucks(I know they do for cars) What manufacturers 200 amp alternator???It would only take a longer belt with a overdrive pulley, most alt manufacturers will tell you if they put on an od alt pulley.
  2. Actually, you dont have to get stainless coated.... Instead of $1200+ Dynatechs, save yourself $1000 and get these, they are the exact same and also made out of SS,they are Chinese rip off's of the Dynatechs except they are polished http://cgi.ebay.com/...sQ5fAccessories I am running a set of LPP long tubes which are also a SS Chinese rip off header but they are a rip off of the mild steel Pacesetter headers.I welded 3" V bands to them for the Y pipe and where it hooks to the exhaust for easy removal. I have been running my headers for 2 years and 30-40k miles and they will still clean up like a new set. Saving an extra $1000 will allow you to get a custom tune(preferably dyno tuned),cold air kit, exhaust, and you will still have a couple of hundred dollars left over if you shop around for parts.
  3. I am still interested, just want to verify if it is or isnt HPC coating before any trading or my hard earned money is spent!!!!!Im sure anyone can relate to that!!HPC coating on those would be $500+ so real HPC coating would make a huge difference of what theyd be worth...Please let me know!!
  4. Sent you a PM back on how to tell the if the coating is indeed HPC/Jet Hot or not. If no numbers are inscribed on the flanges(for warranty work) or if the insides are coated as you stated these are,its def not HPC,Jet Hot,or Nitroplate.None of those companies nor any competent coating company do the insides of turbo manifolds due to fear of it breaking off and being ingested by the turbo or engine. Still a very nice set of headers that I wouldnt mind having!!Just needs the coating stripped from the insides at a minimum before being used.
  5. Sounds alot like everyone I know local who has had a Nelson tune.No exageration,I know at least 5 others who werent happy with there Nelson tune, they just went with them because of the guys raving on LS1tech and had nothing but problems(which werent even dealt with in a timely manner).Be lucky you didnt blow it up like 2 guys I know with Nelson tuning......And dont forget that your $400 custom tuned is LOCKED and Allen will not allow you to access YOUR $400 tune!! Im certain Allen is a great tuner in person as alot of local guys rave about his tunes.Maybe he just serevs the locals better than mail orders? As for a turbo kit,KB Racing and Trick both sell there hot parts separate from the kits. That way you could build the kit as your budget afforded.
  6. No where near as loud as a Walbro, remember,it was an OEM pump!!And you know how bad the OEM's are about noisy products, all 1 would have to do is look at the air intakes our trucks come with that have all the baffling and un needed twists and turns just to quiten down the air inlet. Walbro is around $100+/- and the Denso's are $150-$175 at a good price.Sure its more expensive but the 1st time you have to drop the tank to replace the Walbro, youll have wished you just went with a better pump from the start!! The mods you have to make to install them are super easy.If you have the sense to do the fuel pump swap, the small mods will be nothing for you!!
  7. If you drive it every day,you definetly want a reliable pump like the Denso. As for being the Denso being a direct drop in....It takes a bit of trimming but installs fine.I think the Walbro requires a bit of work as well but im not certain...Look at the ebay auction page I sent you too and youll see why a bit of trimming might be needed. The Denso pump is roughly the size of a 12oz can of soda where as the Walbro is about the size of a small can of Red Bull. Also,if Walbro 255 is good for 600hp as most vendors state, the Denso should be good for 750+hp. My truck was the the 1st LSx truck(05 Escalade) I did a fuel pump swap on and it was as easy as any other. If you are just wanting a pump asap to move the vehicle around,im sure there are a ton of guys that have removed there stock pumps and would let them go cheap if not free.Id offer mine but I threw it in the garbage when I swapped in the Denso because they are so reliable IME that I wasnt worried about not having a spare fuel pump. OEM reliable says alot!!Esp if its Toyota OEM reliable. Some might just hate Toyota but they have to at least give them props on building some shit that will last a VERY LONG time!!
  8. http://www.google.com/search?q=walbro+failure&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a The Walbro you want is the high pressure 255 aka GSS340(I think the older part #'s end with a M). I dont know why you'd want to buy a part that will leave you stranded, not if but when.Try doing the same search for Denso pump failures as I did for Walbro failures and you come up with nothing. Personally id rather have a 300+lph Denso with OEM reliability. Denso 195180-1020 is the pump you want. Heres links to them on ebay http://motors.shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=supra+denso+fuel+pump&_sacat=&_sop=2&_dmpt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&_odkw=supra+denso+fuel&_osacat=0&bkBtn=&_trksid=p4506.m270.l1313 If you are dead set on Walbro,I have a brand new 255 id sell you for $60 shipped.I got it with a car I bought and installed a Denso instead since I dint want to drop the tank to replace it with 2-3 years(no exageration) Great thing about the Denso is the output can be upped substantially with a hot wire kit or boost-a-pump setup.
  9. Stop messing with crapola Walbro's and get a good reliable pump that flows more lph,Denso's Supra TT pump.Came factory OEM on the most reliable of high hp rides, the Toyota Supra. You want failing crap?Keep buying Walbro!!!IMO,any vendor selling them should be ashamed for selling you shit they know will fail in short order!!! I was done with them a few years ago when I bought a Walbro from Racetronix after going thru 3 Walbro's from other vendors. After the Racetronix pump was bad out of the box and I dropped my tank 3-4 times thinking I had made a mistake,Jack@RC said "no warranty",I started using Densos and havent looked back or had 1 fail in tens of thousands of miles. And I know of alot of others who feel the same way as I do about Walbro fuel pumps.Years ago they were the only game in town, not anymore!
  10. Got a call from LME yesterday and my 408 is done and dyno'd!!End results are 560hp and 505tq on there Superflow engine dyno.I do not have a dyno sheet to post but ill post it as soon as I get it.This is a 9.5:1 iron 408,68cc TEA cnc L92's,upgraded trunion stock rockers,ATI balancer, custom cam,65# injectors, and a stock l76 intake. All built, assembled, broken in and dyno'd at LME.They werent able to use my Charris ported L92 truck intake that I suspect wouldve added at least another 15-20hp due to an issue with the fuel rails,it will be fixed and installed when I get them from LME. I have video I will try to post but the engine idles and sounds stock!!!Def doesnt sound like 500+hp but thats a good thing in my mind. Is that a pretty strong HP/TQ # for a low compression 408 w/ l92 heads? The reason for the low compression is that I plan to upgrade to an 88mm turbo kit in a few months.Shooting for 1000whp when its all said and done.
  11. Good god!!! http://www.summitracing.com/parts/NAL-12479056/ I know there has to be a place alot cheaper than $680 for 1 ring and pinion!
  12. Just like the title states...I have 3:73 gears now(front is howling) and I want to replace/upgrade my gear set when I fix it.I only want to use GM Ooem gear sets because of the quality and knowing they are alot less likely to whine than any(ive had several brand new aftermarket gear sets that were set up correctly whine). I will go ahead and put in new seals/bearings at the same time as the gear swap. One stop shopping for all the parts would be great!!Thanks in advance! And yes I did do an hour long search on here before I asked!!lol Thanks guys.
  13. PM sent Rudy. Please let me know. Thanks, Drew
  14. You certainily arent helping the members here.Last 5 disc I bought from PI I paid $875 plus shipping which was like $40.
  15. I have a nice TBSS intake off a low mile TBSS.Includes intake/tb gaskets, fuel rail, injectors, map sensor, evap lines, everything needed for install on your 99-06 but a throttle body,tb pictured is not included but can be purchased seperatly. If you search around on TBSS forums, youll find dyno graphs of this intake ported making 25rwhp more all the way from the start of the dyno pull till the end.Not just peak power like the FAST intakes. 03-06 trucks will need a DrX harness adaptor available for $220 and the 99-02 trucks will need a cable operated 90mm tb available from FAST and other vendors. Only reason im not using this intake on my 05 Escalade EXT(6.0 and awd) is I am going with ported l92's and the matching intake. Complete TBSS intake minus throttle body $250 plus shipping Ported 90mm dbw throttle body to match above intake $200 plus shipping PP accepted and preffered.Send a PM for quickest response.Might accept trades, what do you have? Thanks, Drew
  16. Where is a deal? I can get those prices from PI....
