I have friends and family always asking me to barrow my truck because they need to move or haul something and I say "sure no problem just come on by and grab the keys." That's what I have my '88 GMC 1500 for. I tell them the SS is for getting from point A to point B very fast and collecting tickets with. It is a truck, but not a work truck. The only thing that's heavy that goes in the bed are the dirt bikes. I had to stop by the local lumber store to pickup some door hinges and I had the SS. Some guy parks his SS with lumber rack and boxes right by me. He shouts out "Hay, you have a truck just like mine!" My quick snap back to him "WTF are you talking about, yes, Chevy rolled them off the line in the same fashion and intent however, you chose to waist your money and make into a work truck." He decided to say that his is still as fast as mine. That is when I lead him over and opened the hood to show him the Radix supercharger and asked him do you think its the same. What a tool!

Ok, my wife has the iPhone 3G, and iPod shuffle 2nd gen. My son has the iTouch and my daughter has her self an iPod nano. As for me, I get the bill and keep then supplied with iTunes cards. We were at dinner last night and the table next to us had the iPad and all three of then were all over it. So, road trip at lunch today in the SS to the Apple store to grab one. Does iTunes have an App for the SS?

Mine was getting stuck for about a couple of weeks and then it finally stopped working about three weeks ago. I have not done the change as of yet but I have been watching IdahoBLKss do one and he has a very detailed build conversion. Here is his thread http://www.silverado...pic=59247&st=0. Anyhow, I did some searching and found this link that has very detailed info on how to do the stepper motor change. http://forums.trailv...ad.php?t=48886. I plan on changing mine out at the end of the month. I also have come across a couple of members say that some VIN numbers have a dash recall. So take yours by a dealership and find out if Chevy will replace it. I plan on taking mine over next week to find out if mine is one of them. Good Luck!

The spindles and hangers are for a '03 I assume. I saw that you provided some detail on the fronts but with respect for the rear how far do they lower the rear?

You will be hard press to find any high flow cats in CA. A good friend of mine took his wife's Tahoe in for a smog inspection and it failed because the numbers on the cat are not on the approves list of acceptable cats according to CARB (California Air Re-souse Board). The one that he put on was from Napa and only less than a year old. So lucky for him the pack rat that he is, he replaced the new one with the messed up one and got it to pass smog. They are required to crawl under and retrieve the numbers from the cats now.

Holly crap! Did this guy live in the dam thing. Thats like putting on 85 miles a day, EVERYDAY for three years!!! My '03 SSS has 70k on it and I am scatching my head wondering how in the hell did all those miles get on the thing.

Well, not to go all political it is because California has a little over 25% of the nations welfare cases and a lot of Corporations are bailing out of the state. So the state legislators bend us over and take it too us. Without lube of course. It is that whole "Green" anti SUV hug a tree crap. We just have wwwaaaay to many hippies and welfare cases do you guy's want a few I'll drive them out, stacked in back of my SS I could get a few in the back of the wife's suburban also.
