  1. Its the driver side cat but the bungs are fine. It's under the heat shield and I was going to find a place that can take the heat shield off and take a look at it to see if its crack or hole or whatever the case may be

  2. Took the SSS to a shop today and found out that a cylinder wasnt firing because one of the spark plug wires was leaning on the header. So the high rpm shuddering is fixed. Came to find that there is an exhaust leak in the hi flow cat! Still working on P0420

  3. well i crawled under the truck and banged on the driver side cat and it sounded fine. could there be anything else besides an exhaust leak that would cause the code to be thrown? maybe my tune?

  4. Truck is throwing this code after putting on hi flow cats with my long tubes. I do have a ticking sound from front driver side of the engine so I don't think this could be a plugged cat. Any help or suggestions on what this is?

When I go WOT on the truck, she starts to shake back and forth around 3000 rpm so I back off. Other than that, drivability has remained the same.

I just read that an exhaust manifold leak could cause this so I believe that is where the ticking sound is coming from. Should i buy OEM exhaust gaskets and check my spark plug torquing?

  5. I just did my longtube install and now I have a rubbing or vibrating noise coming from my exhaust somewhere. When the truck is in park on neutral there is no noise but drive, reverse or 3 2 1 makes the vibrating sound. It is coming from under the cab so could it be from a loose bolt or my y pipe not having the pipes flush against the y pipe?

Edit: it does do it in neutral but not as bad. Only happens when I'm stopped or creepin under 10 mph

  6. i went to the dealer and they said it was p0141 and i bought a new o2 sensor. i go home to install it, and i check the o2 sensor lead and the wire was being chewed up by my front drive shaft. the wire was leaning on the driveshaft and it tore through the line and was causing the dtc to pop up. had them order a new lead and they are getting it tomorrow.

    thanks for the help anyways!

  7. i replaced the o2 sensor that needed to be replaced and had the code cleared but when i was driving home, the cel came back on. could it be possible that i have a plugged cat? my truck is chewing through gas faster than usual. could that be the problem or would my mpg be affected by the maf and air intake?
