Theres a gas station in OKC that sells e100 at the pump for about $2.50 a gallon right now. Has anyone ever ran this here? I read up a little about it and really couldnt find out much info on it other then it might be harder to start you car because of the lack of regular gas. I also read that it has an octane rating of 108-113 which sounds pretty good to me. I'm mostly just curious on what you guys think about it.

Transfer case output shaft play
Link2603 replied to Link2603's topic in AWD, Differential, & Transmission Tech
I bought this transfer case from a guy because it already had the 80e input installed. I have no idea of the mileage on that thing but it showed no wear at all where the pump sit. I still thinks it a good idea though. Look up lock ring pliers. We all call it a snap ring but it's actually called a lock ring from what I read. If anything a pair of snap ring ring pliers that are 90 at the end will work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Transfer case output shaft play
Link2603 replied to Link2603's topic in AWD, Differential, & Transmission Tech
I bought an aluminum one off of eBay for 160$. I had no fitment issues. The hardest part is getting the snap ring on and off. It's easy to do if you have the right snap ring tool but I didn't. -
Transfer case output shaft play
Link2603 replied to Link2603's topic in AWD, Differential, & Transmission Tech
Well I pulled the t-case and took it apart. The bushing at the end of the tailshaft was wearing towards one side pretty heavily. I then noticed that were the bearing sets inside the t case had worn a good bit as well. So I decided to just buy a new shell half. Got the shell In and reassembled the t case. It is a night and day difference. Everything is nice and tight now and the vibrations are gone. I thought I would post this just in case someone else has a similar issue or if someone has this issue in the future. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Relocating Fuse box / ECM to inside the dash

I thought about doing this same thing since my turbo on my drivers side likes to melt everything. I have to admit that this looks like a fun little job lol.- 21 replies

How much play do you guys have on your transfer case output shaft? I can move mine about an 1/8 of an inch or a little more side to side and a little bit in and out. I still have a viberation issue with my truck and didn't know if this could be the cause of it. Thanks for the help

Hmmm I'm very very tempted right now. -
So in a nutshell your looking for a 10 year old truck that was only made for half a year (awd) with low miles. That's a tall order, but I ll keep my eyes peeled for one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What exactly are you looking for in one? low mileage? 2wd or AWD? I ask because I've seen some around here for sale though it would be a long drive for you lol. http://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/cto/4849029696.html

sss oil pressure question
Link2603 replied to Your_Evil_Twin96's topic in Engine Tech And Modification
Oil pressure sensor is bad is my best guess. Mine did the same when my sensor went bad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Ours costs are pretty close really. Mines just a little more because of the AWD part.

I honestly don't know if hes still making them or not. This is what I paid to do my 80e swap $500 for my 80e (had 53000 miles on it) $500 for NVG149 with the 32 spline adapter already installed $1100 torque converter (PY 3600) $50 front drive shaft (Junk yard) $300 to have my rear drive shaft shortened and new U joints put in $120 shift kit (Trans go 4L80e-HD2) $80 trans fluid $50 dip stick tube $300 for misc crap I can't think of I redid the cross member and installed the shift kit myself. I also removed and put in the trans myself. I'm probably missing something but that's a close estimate.

I switched to a 4l80e, but I never really had any problems with my 4l65e. The hardest part was finding 32 spline input gear for the transfer case.

I found some.

like the title says I'm looking for a set of factory torsion bar keys. I put a set of drop spindles on my truck and was going to put my stock keys back on but I can't seem to find them. You can call or text me at 405-740-7765 thanks

What does everyone think about this new system and how it has played out so far. Personally I like that there is a playoff now, but I'm not so sure about the human element in this process. I would like to see who the computers would have playing each other in the playoffs. I know it doesn't matter anymore but it would still be fun to see. What is everyone's thoughts on the committee members? Anyone you think doesn't belong on this committee.
