  1. I drive alot and until this post I have never noticed. Since then I have seen several 1500's with them and 1 GMC. Must be more common than I thought.
  2. I'm going to have a set up close to yours. Let me ask why did you go up to the bigger injectors? The guy is tuning my truck now and it should be close on Monday. If i need to add the injectors I guess now would be the time.
  3. Clay Bar, Polish then Wax. Check out the link below to gather info hope this helps. Link
  4. Please let me add-- My truck is an 04 and it does have a fuel filter in the form of a sock attached to the fuel pump in the tank. As far as one I can easily change If it has one I can't find it...
  5. This was the second time that I watched it; and i have to agree it is very basic. It is good info for a quick build.
  6. I believe '02 was the last year for the cabin filter along with the fuel filter. I wish they would have kept them.
  7. I like em.. and where did you get them?
  8. Thanks for the info. It sounds like I'm on the right track as to what I want. As for the MPG's I'm hope for a little better since I have a CC and it came with 3.42 gearing. I guess we will see
  9. I know the normal items but what I dont know is how much torque management is ok for everyday driving?? 50% decrease firmmer shifts then 75% decrease in the tow/haul botton and even firmmer shifts? It is 4x4 and I run E-load tires so most of them are rated at no more than 100mph so I'm not really interested in the top speed but I guess I should remove it anyway while I'm there. Also I plan on tuning it with 93 octane with 10% ethanol, and normal running 93 octane without.(Still looking for a place close to buy it without it added) or does this all really matter...
  10. since it is a DD I plan on a somewhat conservative normal and then Haul/@$$ mode for tha button.
  11. Ok, here is goes, I have an '04 Silverado that I have decided to build an CC Z71 VHO. The LQ9 is being put in now with a cam, 160 stat etc.. and time is near to do the tune. The guy doing it suggested that I come by that day since I told him that I want a seperate tune on the tow/haul button. He also said that I should make some notes on other things I would like. I have no idea what my options are, could you guys give me some ideas?
  12. Sounds like a really good deal! I was going to suggest... a 2004-2006 Saturn Vue...I know it looks a little girly but I bought one for my wife before we went to Colorado and she loves it. I took it off-roading on some mining trails and it took it like a champ and with leather, fog lights, AWD, sunroof, etc. you can pick them up really cheap and they get around 20mpg combined(atleast hers has for 76,xxx miles), plus it has 245hp honda V6.
  13. Maybe an '87 Grand National but not an '05 LaSabre
  14. I just bought the Mr. Gasket 6367 for Gen3 04-+ for like $12.00. It is being installed now and I will wait and see how it works.
  15. Mind did it to when I got it and only on cold mornings. It went away after I changed the intemdiate shaft for the clunk and shot alittle silicone lube on the rubber boot it goes through. Hope it helps... A buddy if mine also had to get something replaced in the column of his Burb for a simular problem, I will ask him on Fri and update.
  16. I found this today as I was looking around for other parts..... http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/pts/1603623998.html
