I had an '84 blue and white two tone as my first truck. Learned a lot about working on vehicles on that thing.

One of my Hexes blew in my last truck a couple years ago from rust/water damage in the crappy Wisconsin weather, still have all the parts around but unfortunately finding just one woofer is not real easy. They are excellent speakers and whoever ends up with them will be very pleased, good luck with the sale.

I have my stock unit as well, came out of a 2004, my truck had the XM option but not OnStar, It is the 6 disc Bose changer and was working fine when it was pulled last year. Feel free to make an offer, it is in good shape from what I remember but it might have had a bit of fading on a couple of the buttons, I will check if your interested.

What's the conversion run nowadays anyway? I have been thinking about doing it myself but if it is cheap enough I will just send it in.

That makes sense, I have heard it explained to me both ways with air being sucked in through there or to let hot air out.

It did have holes in the front for a cheesy plastic grill yes, I had the shop weld them up before they painted. There are holes in the back that I can see from the driver's seat that feed air in though. Not sure when I can do a drop, I need to at least figure out what parts I need then find a shop to do it or someone to help as I have very limited knowledge of suspension work. Got a few more pics today after the sun came out.

Looks good, get some paint slapped on it. Finally found one after looking for months myself.

Finally found an affordable cowl hood online, kinda a different style and I am honestly not 100% sure what I think of it yet, but the wife likes it at least. Got it for $225 shipped and another $200 to weld up the holes they had for a tacky plastic insert and paint. They repainted my wheel caps at the same time so no more grey caps finally.

I will have a black hood available Friday if you happen to be anywhere in the Seattle or north of area.

I'm running a 12 under there, fits fine and sounds great. You can get adapters to not loose all the features of the stock deck as mentioned above, and it is well worth it to replace the Bose stuff.

I showed my wife those pictures and she said to find a really dark red too. The darkest they make for Krylon Fusion is burgandy, anyone have other suggestions on a good paint brand to use that has some deeper reds?

Yea that looks strange, so much for that idea. I will have to see what else I can think of.

Another idea would be to replace my emblems with some of the TBSS emblems in red instead of repainting mine, think that would be too out of place?
