  1. the dimmer works, i keep mine on full brightness though. It's not THAT bright, just looks much brighter through a picture. the only "bright" thing is either steering wheels a bit, or the 2 additional lights behind the dimmer, if they are not aimed properly you can see the led itself through the cracks and it will give u some pretty bad glare.
  2. dammmmnnnnn that sucks dude However, that could very well be a write off. I would probably buy it back since there is a ton of stuff that can easily be parted out on it. I'm eying those rims
  3. None of the lights work though. I might try that though.
  4. a tundra or titan would even be more acceptable over a ford
  5. I don't have a test light at all actually. What do you mean by power in the column and not the wheel? My buttons still work, controlling all the things they should, just no lights at all. If I can't figure it out after class tomorrow are ya busy this weekend? PM me your number
  6. OK my gas mileage button the led/resistors were on the wrong side.. swapped em around but still no lights? the other 3 are connected properly. Is there a fuse that covers the steering wheel lights as I cant find one? EDIT: I tried one of my dad`s working lights from his avalanche, they don`t light up in mine, but my buttons light up in his. So I will be pulling the harness off tomorrow and following wires Anyone have any idea as to which wire powers the bulbs?
  7. I love it! One of the few muscle cars I can actually squeeze myself into
  8. Currently in college taking accounting, hoping to either get my CA designation (preferably) or a CGA. I work as a underground utility locator in the summer, marking out gas lines power lines etc. Easiest job ever.
  9. lol the dealer told me it was going to cost 600 bucks to replace the oil lines... HELL NO lol. Either I'll buy the gaskets if thats the problem, or I'll buy new steel braided lines for it sometime this summer, its not really a must-fix thing imo. I can still hear a very slight whir but its pretty much all gone now.
  10. Yeah I noticed that when I was doing em, might've zoned out and put em in backwards maybe. Once I get the truck back I'll take em apart and have a look.
  11. Great pics! I want to go so bad. LOL @ the F&F Evo
  12. Now this is something I used to go mudding with, little more appropriate me thinks God I miss the old girl
  13. Ok I got a little problem first of all your posts were extremely helpful thanks dude. I've got pretty much everything switched and working good. My problem is with the steering wheel lights. The lights all do not turn on but the buttons still work and control everything they are supposed to. When I first plugged in each button again the lights did all work, they stopped working once I rerouted the bottom right wire. I tried plugging in each button with just the circuit board part to try and trouble shoot the problem, the lights will come on for all of the buttons so long as I have one of the buttons plugged in "backwards" and with a button pressed, if the button isn't pressed no lights come on... this is frustrating the hell out of me. Did I maybe scrape through one of the wires coatings and break a connection while I was pulling it through while rerouting? I can't find any fuses related specifically to the steering wheel, but I doubt it's a fuse since the button controls still work... halp plx?

  17. Looks pretty good dude. What type of bulb is that in the park light? I see em all the time but never know what it is. I wants it!
  18. guys I'm pretty sure what he meant by this is to have a hi/lo bulb in EACH slot, aka 4 low beams on at once rather than the two, same goes for having 4 high beams on at once rather than the 2? If I'm wrong just slap me now.
  19. Looks like the cause is the AC belt... such a simple thing I don't know how I missed it >.< Getting it replaced Tuesday, hopefully that takes most of the sound away. Now my oil cooler lines are leaking and so is my coolant unsure where from >.< just another day in the life of owning a vehicle. thx for the help everyone
  20. bastards wont give that good of a deal to canada
  21. It's a street truck theres a difference lol. My old 95 C/K I would rip around in the mud every chance I got, but with the SS I avoid puddles let alone go mudding... It's toodamn nice for that.
  22. only thing I have heard that truly works is a "shifter" takes the lazer light and reflects it into a completely opposite direction rather then back at the police officers gun. Guy at the store says its saved him a few times but who knows, he could've just been trying to sell me on it.
  23. How do you reset it? just reset either personal or business trip? I usually average 18.9L/100KM I'm not sure what that relates to in MPG, I will check sometime tomorrow Edit: looks like thats about 12.4MPG
