i've had it happen to me. CV axles are very cheap from rockauto and it takes only a few minutes to replace, don't even have to remove the spindle just unbolt the tie rod and fully turn it.

Grats on your purchase, if you're from the edmonton area feel free to message me, theres a few of us that meet up often in the summer with our trucks, you're welcome to check out the mods on our trucks and such and ask for help.
That being said, try to get a set of headers for your truck they do a lot for it, also HID's are a nice quick upgrade. The interior LED conversion is also a very nice upgrade for us. I'd also suggest a 2/2 lowering kit at the very least. -
This is the problem
No you're the problem with your bad attitude. Have you ever used or seen Plasti dip in person? I guarantee half of the people here hating on out haven't, and only do because "seniors" like you do and they want to feel accepted.

Cuz it's garbage. Looks like absolute dog shiz. No way I'd put that on my SS. If you wanna paint yr rims for the winter or something I can kinda see it. Wtf is the point of painting your whole car. Wanna paint it paint it don't put plasti shit on it.
Please tell me how it looks like garbage? it looks the exact same as vinyl wrap. If it's "garbage" to you, you simply do not like a matte/satin finish.

You should be shunned for these comments
idgaf, it's a nice quick way to get a matte look and it works great. Sorry not everyone wants to powdercoat. What if someone likes changing up the color of a rim fairly often? should they pay out 500-800 bucks every month? hell no. Sure it's blasphemy to use plasti dip on high quality fancy chrome wheels, but on shit wheels like stock rims and such, it's a great idea.
Vinyl wrap a vehicle for 4 grand or plasti dip it for 400 bucks and achieve the exact same durability and finish? Easy answer, plasti dip.

It's been around for a while now actually. I would have done my truck by now but they don't ship to Canada. I don't understand the hate on it. It looks really good, it's unique, it's temporary, it's affordable, it's an amazing product.

Welcome, i was scoping out that truck as well. There's quite a few of us now around edmonton, me and paul (canadianvrss) are always hanging out and cruising our trucks in the summer so you're more than welcome to join!

That looks like 5/7 not 4/6

going to war with someone or what?

I'll be honest many times I want to sell the truck, but I couldn't handle selling it locally and seeing some punk kid driving it around.
-
It's a matter of money I guess lol. I just won a trip to vegas pretty sure so i'll be going there around may 2nd for my girlfriends birthday.

Sig is way too big btw dude, as nice as it is. -
I would probably call a lawyer for initial/free consultation, and retain if shit goes south

It was a good day all up till that point! won free hockey tickets in Calgary and my boss bought lunch and had a nice milkshake from peters drive thru (the local good eat's!)
I like tubby dog better than peters The tickets would be awesome to win!... if it wasn't for the shames hahaha jk jk

Kind of need to post the link first though?

Simply put, why has the price increased $100?
because he is taking his own time and money to get this together, he has to have them sit around his shop/warehouse (holding costs), repackaging into individual boxes, etc etc. No one else stepped up to the plate and he saw the opportunity. Can't be a business without turning profit.

where is the sweet part of the bittersweet heading?

Got any more pics of the green silvia actually? looks like it has pretty aggressive fitment
-
I want that model at the end! or rc car perhaps?
-
The technology is cool but it appears to "fade" the finish of whatever it's on to a degree, like those boots.
-
added as well. Lots of guys out east eh
-
Added, Josh check your PM's

hahaha someone beat me to motorboating joke. I tried to comment "Do you guys train for motorboat licenses as well?" tried to be "coy" about it since they hold comments for approval

Don't need one it's very very simple.
1. jack up truck
2. wheels off
3. pop off dust cap cover to cv axle nut
4. remove axle nut (36 mm I think?) easiest with an impact otherwise you need to jimmy a prybar between the lugs or something and the ground to prevent it from spinning
5. unbolt tie rod and remove from spindle, turn spindle all the way to the left or right, whatever gives more clearance for the cv axle
6. remove 6 bolts holding the CV axle shaft to the differential
7. remove cv axle
reverse steps to install it.
theres OEM remans and such on rock auto so the length is fine. The lifted trucks will want longer cvs i am pretty sure that lowered trucks like ours like the shorter ones, the ones on rock auto only vary by like 1/4 inch or an 1/8th inch so it's fairly neglible. Mine cost 67 bucks and has lasted almost a year now with not a hint of an issue.
