  1. Nobody on here knows of a good soft cover for a nice vehicle like our Silverado SS pickup trucks?
  2. Well that because people in Illinois all drive like lunatics. Not saying you do. However I have seen how people in Illinois all drive. You are all right up eachothers @ss on the road. And I am not intending this towards you.
  3. Nice job man. She really looks flawless now and she's a beauty. I really need this done to my SS and man if I had experience with buffing and waxing vehicles, I would go buy a buffer and wax and get it done myself. I will have to take mine to someplace or someone to get this done to my truck. I just don't know where to go though to get it done.
  4. Well I think my towing weight will be around 3000lbs. The trailer itself weighs less than 2000 lbs. I don't know the exact weight of the trailer but I will find out when I go to look at one. As for towing weight, I will have my one quad and all of my gear, tools and parts in the trailer and a generator, air compressor and lights and gas cans, fluids and spare tires for my truck and trailer. So altogether including the trailer weight, about 3000 lbs is what I estimate that I will be pulling.
  5. What would be a good Tonneau cover to get for a Silverado SS? I checked out a few online and I wasn't sure what to get. I want to get one that will make the truck still look clean and one that doesn't desecrate the look of the truck. A roll up one or a non roll up one?
  6. Okay so I am really big into ATV Motocross racing and I actually was thinking and looking to buy a nice enclosed v-nose trailer to haul my quads around when I want to go riding. I found a good small enclosed trailer on craigslist in Ramsey Minnesota. I am looking at getting a 7' x 17' V-Nose Enclosed trailer with a 5' V-Nose. It's a 7x12 plus a 5' V-Nose. But anyway it's a single axle and lightweight. I was looking at Reese trailer hitches for my truck, but I am not going to weld one onto my SS. I am just going to get one to bolt up to the frame and this way I can take it off when I won't be pulling my trailer. I looked at Reese trailer bitches and I also saw that Reese makes a weight distribution unit for pulling trailers. It serves as to keep the rear of your vehicle from squatting down so much when towing a trailer. I was thinking of getting a Reese trailer hitch, but not sure which one is best to get? I don't want to get a heavy one, just want a kind of lightweight and durable trailer hitch to use for pulling my enclosed trailer. Trailer is not very long and it doesn't weigh that much. What do you guys think? I can get the link to the ad so you can see pictures of the enclosed trailer I will be getting. I just want to get the right stuff so I am not having any problems later and so something doesn't end up breaking on my SS from it. Thoughts and advice please?
  7. Okay so I bought a cover at a Menards store for my SS and I don't really like it much. It seems to leave small minor scratches and scuffs in the wax and also this cover says that it is water resistant, water just goes right through it and all of the dust and pollen that collects on it, it just washes right through the cover and puts all of the pollen and dust onto my truck. So every time I go home, my SS is dirty again even though I washed it before I parked it for the week. Oh and just so all of you know, I don't have a storage unit or a garage to park my SS in right now so I have to use a cover to put over it while it's parked outside at my godfathers house. I got it hidden so that no one can see it when they drive by. But anyway does anyone know of a good soft cover that actually is water resistant and water repellant? I get very fed up with having to wash this every weekend all because of this damn cover I got for it. I need to get it buffed again too and new wax job put over it also. I just don't like it when my SS is dirty and I don't like to look like I am just driving this SS like it any pickup truck. I plan to park it and store it away for the winter because I am not going to be driving my SS on the roads up here in Wisconsin and Minnesota. The salt and ice and cold weather will ruin my SS and I am not going to do that. Anyone got any advice as to what I should do? I really love my SS and I want to make it look like I take care of it.
  8. Man, I saw this truck posted up on eBay a few years ago and I got to say, it sure is a nice beauty. I got to get pics of my Intimidator SS posted up still. I have had my truck since April and I still haven't gotten around to posting any pictures of it yet or taking pictures of it for that matter.
  9. In my opinion, this SS is not that bad. It's not like the body kit and exhaust is permanent now. It could be changed back to it's original look. That is if the right person was to buy it who wanted to undo the stuff this owner did. At least that is what I would do.
  10. Okay dude, I do get down to Milwaukee sometimes, but there is no places for big rig semi trucks to park in the Milwaukee area. There are places outside of Milwaukee for big rigs to park. Next time if I have to shutdown around Milwaukee, I'll hit you up though. You will have to drive out somewhere though because semi trucks are not allowed on every road or in ever place with a parking lot.
  11. Well I am going to be spending the whole day in Green Bay Wisconsin today and I will be going out for a run today in this wonderful city. I haven't been able to go exploring over here at all since I started driving truck for this company Schneider National which is now just called Schneider. They decided to edit the name and remove the word National from the logo and just call the company Schneider. Anyway I will out and about today working out and exercising today. I just thought I would ask if anyone on this site might live over here in and/or around Green Bay Wisconsin area? Well if anyone does feel free to hit me up. Maybe we could meet up. I don't know much about this area because I am from the Western side of the state way over in the Saint Croix Falls Wisconsin area. It's pretty much straight west from here. But anyway hit me up please. I actually have not met anyone on here yet and I always thought it would be cool to meet up with someone from this site and maybe hang out for a little bit. Hit me up guys, I'm not going anywhere today, taking a 34 hour restart break and going to workout and exercise today like I said.
  12. Is it necessary to put mudflats on a Silverado SS Intimidator? Friends and family at home keep telling me that I have to put mud flaps on it. My opinion on it is I don't want to. Reason is because I know that mud flaps will make my SS look like a work truck or something and they will kind of ruin the look of it. I like my SS the way it is without mud flaps. However if mud flaps are something I should get, then can you guys please help me out and let me know or recommend mud flaps to get that won't defile the look of my SS? I love my SS a lot and I am very happy that I followed through with buying it. Let me know guys. You guys are my SSS family.
  13. Congrats man, I just bought a Intimidator Silverado SS myself recently. I love mine and enjoy just sitting in it and admiring it every time I am at home.
  14. Wow...you guys are making the movie actor life sound fun. Haha...sometimes it is nice to think and wonder.
  15. Here's a question, has anyone ever thought of what it would be like if you were a movie actor? I'm mainly referring to the lifestyle of being a movie actor.
  16. Man I really don't like thieves. Man if I ever see this thief who stole this SS, I will hit him and run him over with my semi truck and all 18 wheels. Man the reality of consequences for stealing is going to hit him like a truck. Hahaha...lol
  17. 03Mass, been a long time. And how did you know that I bought that Intimidator SS from up there in Massachusetts?
  18. Okay so I got my truck now and I got pictures on my phone and I can't figure out how to post the pics on here from my phone. Anyone know how to post pics up on here with cell phone? FYI the pics I took with the camera on my phone so the pics are saved on my phone. I just don't know how to post these pics on this site from my phones photo galley.
  19. Okay cool. I will measure my steel two piece driveshaft when I get home again. I would like to have the aluminum driveshaft on my truck, will have to see though when I measure the length.
  20. Is there a way to get an aluminum driveshaft to put on the 2006 RWD Silverado SS pickup truck? I got an aluminum driveshaft off an older 1990s 2wd Chevy pickup truck and I was thinking of doing a little measuring. Not sure though if this one I got is long enough though.
  21. So I got my Silverado SS and I got to look at the under side of the truck. I noticed that my SS has a steel driveshaft on it. I was wondering, did all the Silverado SS pickup trucks come with steel driveshafts or did some have aluminum driveshafts put on them?
  22. I was wondering, does anyone know what kind of engine block GM put in the Silverado SS pickup trucks? Iron engine blocks or aluminum engine blocks?
