  1. i don't think it would convert well, it is made of plastic, it would sounds like kicking a plastic tub around, i'd just replace it with a sub box IMO
  2. I have the same questions, I am running the factory bose setup with 2 D3 12's pushing 900 watts and everything is plenty loud for me, even had an audio guy look at me surprised when he realized it still had the bose speakers in it. sounds like you're not running the correct setup for the vocal speakers, because they should be stupid loud being aftermarket if powered properly IMO
  3. definitely the place for subs http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/gallery/image/7018-11152010074/
  4. I'd like next offer on E-fans (after Marzyn) pending harness and if it fits an 03
  5. I've got an 03 and the mirror never mentions anything other than temp and direction I think.. Never heard of them putting a drive train light or reading away from the instrument cluster anyways
  6. Here is a video he made for the business he works for.. shows some of their work and at 2 minutes is my truck and it shows it with the seat down.. people never know i have them unless its raised up
  7. Ok guys, he's a good buddy of mine that's in the truck scene and works at a local shop. He takes pride in his work and is a good guy. Here is his FB page showing all of his custom work he's done http://www.facebook.com/CodyLandisCCA?filter=1 Try to contact him through that page and I'll let him know to keep up on his messages. If you guys don't have a fb page to contact him with on there let me know and I'll ask him about another form of contact but I don't want just give away his personal number without his consent. I have informed him you guys are showing interest. Here is a direct link to the album showing my truck box (don't mind it being dirty in the close ups! lol) http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.370063953089892.85363.369304386499182&type=1 Now to answer some quick questions, I asked about what he thinks he'd charge to duplicate it and he mentioned in the $500 area. the box has two individual sub boxes on each side housing the subs with a built-in shelf to mount the amp (and cap if wanted like mine) It is all one piece once finished. He would like to have the amp and subs in hand to make sure the specifics are built correctly due to the tolerances being so tight. it is designed for the back seat to still fold down and latch as normal. the subs are angled to match the slope of the seat. The overlay around the amp and cap are flush mounted so you can't see any wires. He also applies a thick trim around the subs to protect them from the seat damaging them during flex while seat is down. He would build the box with your amp and subs then pre-wire it to a terminal for easy hook-ups upon install. He duplicates the SS badge to make his cutout. He also could take custom requests to put your own unique twist on it I'm sure, just check out his other work.. HE IS AWESOME
  8. yea, I'll give you guys a way to contact him when I get to a computer and can take more pictures for everyone
  9. I'll ask but you realize shipping would be a monster for something that size? going to canada
  10. lol I know the guy who built it, he could do another
  11. Nice looking man, if you don't mind keep me updated on how well they fit and everything!
  12. Yea, I'm not a big fan of it either. I purchased the truck with that hood, i'd like to trade or sell it to get a different one
  13. Thanks man, it's got an overlay on the front and SS is cut out that shows blue behind it
  14. Oh yea, just a nice smooth stop compared to a pulsating one makes a huge difference
  15. After much, much debating and researching on the forum I finally chose a path in which to replace my rotors and pads because mine were warped and getting close to needing replaced. I don't have the funds to do z06 brakes so, instead, I just upgraded the rotors and pads and swapped to s/s lines. I know there are other things I can do as well but I'm very pleased with my choice and can always up them later. My brakes never really felt bad/soft like others had mentioned but I definitely had warped rotors. Just wanted to say thanks for all of you and your knowledge that helped with my decisions. Braking is smooth and requires little pressure for normal driving to stop, but can really shut it down if i get on em hard. OE rotors EBC USR Finished EBC USR, Green Stuff 6000 pads, Russell S/S Brake lines

  18. Only issue i could possibly see is keeping the factory routing of the lines on the front. Unless i did it wrong the front lines from Russell fit but didn't have much slack. and if your larger brakes will be pushing the front calipers out further it may need to be routed different
  19. alright guys, thanks.. its not a real loud noise but sounds like my tire is rubbing, and its not lol
