  1. The only two things it could be is either the tune or something to do with the injectors. That's the only stuff that is new.. It idled fine before, it wasn't perfect because it was a rough tune but it idled. Now I have no clue what it is. Cleaning the the TB and MAF helped a ton but it didn't fix the surging and it still dies a lot. Just when I pull up to a light and come to a stop it'll just rev up and down and die. The converter doesn't lock up either ill be going 60 and the rpms are at 2500 or more.. So many problems

  2. I'm gonna try all that stuff tonight. I'm not sure how the injectors were stored or how long they say up.. We're kinda thinking it's either the injectors are dirty themselves or the harness adapters I got aren't good or something. How do I clean te injectors? Will seafoam work?

  3. well the TB was filthy, i cleaned it as well as the MAF and as far as i could get my hand in the intake. it idles in drive now but its still acting really weird. the converter doesnt lock up only when i first start driving then it wont go into lock up again, its got plenty of fluid and ive checked everything i can think of. when i come to a stop it drops real low the revs up then does it a few more times then either just dies or idles fine.. its surging pretty bad. other than the idle and lock up problems, it runs like an animal. it really screams with those 6500 rpm shifts! im thinking the problem is either in the tune or fuel pump.. or the injectors could just be really dirty theyre used and im not sure how long they sat up. any suggestions?

  4. I got my tune from zippy and got everything installed.. We did the relearns and stuff but we had to fight with it to get it to idle in park. It would just die. Then zippy told us how and we go it to idle. But the. When I tried to drive away the second I put it in gear it dies. Zippy said it might just need to learn for a few days but I just want to know if there's anything else there could be? It tries to idle in reverse but dies.. And it just dies right away when I put it in drive. Any suggestions?

  5. I can kinda give it like half throttle right off the line and then just bury the pedal right after and it hooks pretty well.. I'm just wanting to get a good time ad I can air my tires down and air them back up for the drive home. I might try to get a set of dr's. what size should I try to get? I can get 2 17s pretty cheap I just need to get some tires for em. What are you running fireman? And do they hook pretty good?

  6. so zippy is about to send me my tuned pcm, and when that gets here i will install my injectors and the truck will finally be done. im going to go to the track as soon as i can which will probably be not this weekend but the next. ive only been to the track with a stock converter and no cam.. i cant get this thing to hook on the street for the life of me now with the 3200. my last runs were 14.56 @ 94 with a 2.1 60ft.. it bogged out of the hole bad. my tune was pretty terrible and now i switched to zippy. i dont know what kind of times to expect, or how to get this thing to hook. my nitto 420s didnt spin at all when i heated them up at the track but they werent aired down at all i had i think 35 pounds in em. my cam and stall specs are in my sig. i just need to know how to make this bitch hook up! any help would be appreciated guys!

  7. i finished my cam swap and had my new coverter installed about three weeks ago, for the first week after i finished it, i couldnt drive the truck at all because it wouldnt idle and i was told its bad to drive without a tune with a cam. it took a week for my tuner (a local guy) just to get me a base tune so it would idle and be drivable. he always claims hes so busy. i didnt put my injectors in then because my adapters didnt come in. since then he has told me several times that he would get me a dyno day and a tune. everytime he has backed out on me, he never answers his phone, never calls me when he says he will and hes just impossible to work with and is terrible at running a business. ive been done with my truck for weeks now and still cant go WOT cause the injectors are well over maxed out. my buddy in town (zachm89) uses zippy, he just uses his wideband and zippy just emails a tune, but i dont have hptuners and i dont know how to get in touch with zippy or how the process even works, or how much it is. if yall could help me out with understanding how to get zippy to tune it i would appreciate it. thanks guys.

  8. Okay so I got my cam and stall and everything in and. I'm taking it today to get tuned. But I have the nnbs flex fuel truck injectors and I have new ev6 connectors to splice onto the stock wiring. The little instruction sheet that came with the connectors says that it doesn't matter which wire goes where. Is this true? I'd hate to wire it all up and then have the wires backwards. I'm sorry if I put this thread in the wrong place I just need help now lol.

    theres the picture and let me find you a part number, you just put the antenna under the hood kinda up under the fender and then pop the old plastic piece off and pop the new one on. the price has gone up to $20 since i did mine i just looked. but the part number is 15287179 just go to the cadillac dealer and they can order it. or you can order it online here>> http://www.gmpartsgiant.com/parts/gm-panel-15287179.html excuse the dirty truck.. it snowed here in texas and still not able to wash it lol.

Okay guys i got it all figured out thanks to yall lol. im not doing a fuel pump, instead i put that money towards a tru-cool 40k and injector connectors. my tuner is going to write me up something so the truck will start and idle and be able to drive to his shop without dying. the converter goes in tomorrow, and cam saturday. i guess i should make a little build thread? Thanks for all the help guys i appreciate it. ill let yall know how it goes

  11. im not sure about the injectors i havent looked at them yet next to the stockers. ill check tomorrow. im thinking he can throw something together to get it to where it will run okay till he has the time to really tune it. this weekend is the big weekend. thursday the stall is going in and saturday and sunday mayne is the cam and all

  12. Oh, one more question. My tuner is always really busy (or hes never at his shop in other words) and last time i had him do a retune it took over two months to get him to do it. i can get a hold of him easier now and im sure it wont take long for him to get to it this time, but what parts can i run without a tune? i know it wont run too good but its my DD and i need it everyday. what parts are safe for me to run with the tune thats on it now? its an hptuners tune btw.

  13. i have pacesetter lts with no cats and a magnaflow 2.5 DI/DO x pipe muffler and everybody loves it. it sounds nasty and mean. it doesnt drone bad either. mine is dumped right behind the cab before the axle so if you went out the side or over axle it wouldnt drone at all. before i deleted my cats you could barely tell i had exhaust if you were inside the truck. no drone whatsoever. if youre keeping the cats then it wont drone at all. no cats and it will drone a little

  14. so yall think i will be good with the stock pump? im not pulling it past 6500 and the injectors are only 36# is mine a return style fuel system? its a 07 classic. my friend zach (zachm89) told me that i needed a bigger one, but maybe thats cause he wanted me to buy his lol. if the stock will work fine then that is perfect cause i wasnt looking forward to dropping the tank or pulling the bed. thanks guys

  15. ok so i have everything i need to do my cam and stall, except fuel pump. i got some flex fuel 36# injectors but i cant find the part number for the walbro pump. i need the in tank walbro 255. can somebody give me a part number or tell me where the best place to buy one is? i need it by saturday because thats when the cam is going in. thanks guys.
