  1. How much is this truck worth? http://www.qcsadirect.com/Inventory.aspx?InventoryID=1068595#e0a4974e80b944128655899177c2f33f

  3. Oh yea, pull the ABS fuse until you get it fixed. It can be very dangerous driving like that.
  4. This problem is the sensor has been lifted to far away from the gear in the hub. This is caused by corrosion. Bend the backing plate out of the way and sand or file a small amout of material away. Dont let shit get down into bearing....plug hole. But first get multimeter out an test the inital volts produced by spinning the hub. This reading will be low. A good reading is above 450 mV or .45 V AC. Keep removing material until you get above 450. you could also check the other hub and try to match its voltage. put some grease behind the plate to prevent more corrosion. hope this helps. http://forums.trailv...ead.php?t=94580 here is some more reading http://www.justanswer.com/chevy/1r2ff-test-left-front-wheel-speed-sensor.html
  5. get an iSimple Gateway or Neo Gateway. I beilieve they are the same product. They have an iPod interface, and you can also get a cable with RCA jacks. It retains steering controls and info on the radio.
  6. In my limited knowledge, the rear pinion angle is set in relation to the output of transmission. The rear pinion must be "equal and opposite" of the trans. output so if the trans output is 3 deg then you want the rear pinion to be -3 deg. Of course, there are many theories on setting up the rear end.
  7. MAF cleaner seems to have worked!!! Only time will tell. I post back if the codes ever comes back.
  8. Yes the other codes are o2 sensors. I get some MAF cleaner, and try to get code to come on. Thanks
  9. I was driving at about 3/4 throttle from stop to about 70 mph. Engine light came on with codes P0101, P0131, P0151. MAF sensor and lean conditions. I just replaced the spark plugs with AC Delcos. I dont think the plugs have anything to do with the codes, but I guess there is a chance. I used some dielelectric grease and anti-seize on the plugs. Where do I start trouble shooting? Does cleaning the MAF actually do anything? Im curious as to why all three codes came on at the same time. Thanks
  10. yes a used cluster can be reprogrammed for VIN, hours, and mileage. I just had mine done $190. http://www.fixmygauges.com/ The VIN will enable or disable the DIC, according to what was originally on the truck. I believe any place with a TECH 2 can do it. Some dealerships will and some wont.
  11. I got some of that 3M 2-way adhesive. I pulled the corner back and put about 4 inches on each side. the cladding now has about 1/8 clearance when the door is opened. Hopefully, this is a long term fix. If not, I will have to pull the whole piece off. Thanks for the help guys.
  12. My driver's door cladding is loose and is rubbing in the front when the door is opened. What is the best way to fix this? Do I have to remove the whole piece? Is there an adhesive or a 2-sided tape? EDIT: It looks like it needs moved towards the rear about 1/4 inch. Thanks
  13. looks good!!!! sand the tops of the LEDs flat in the dash cluster to remove the hotspots
  14. I recently installed a Neo gateway for ipod nano. I think isimple gateway is a similiar product. I am able to use steering controls and search fuctions on head unit. Im not sure if these products are compatible with a iPhone. Its a good place to start your search though edit: i picked mine up on ebay for $40.
  15. here is the pinout. use the 2 grounds A12, B12 and A11 ---12v+ be very careful not to hookup wrong. I think I fried an IC on the board by doing so. There are seperate 12+ for the turn signal lamps. http://www.justanswer.com/view_image.aspx?href=http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/GUYVANIDERSTINE/2011-04-17_022104_c.gif

    Gauge Repair

you can drive without the cluster
  17. When the fuel line is leaking, it takes a few extra cranks. A fuel leak in the intake manifold will also cause this.
  18. my seat turns on and right back off. Here is a guide to test the heating element. http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/Bluegorilla/2009-11-12_172546_GMT_800_heated_seat_drivers_diagnose.pdf here is a guide to toubleshoot wiring (it is for buick lasaber though). It may be the same and it wil give you a general idea on what to test. Ill look for a silverdo guide. http://en.allexperts.com/q/GMC-Repair-813/Heated-seat-failure-01.htm
  19. Goto the diablo website and look up the model #. Most likely its not for your truck.
  20. Now thats its snowny and wet outside, I can see that the bottom side of my fusebox is getting wet. The previous owner had to replace the fuse box, now I know why!! Water must be getting through the fender where the two sections come together. Has anyone else had a problem like this? Is there something I can get to seal this seam? I would want something that will last and that I won't have to worry about again. Thanks
  21. loose fuse or bad connection at fuse.
  22. Another update. The problem is definelty intermittent. Now when I put windows up, it happens, but not everytime. I think what is going on is the cluster is initializing. When it happens, all the gauges zero out, and driver 2 is displayed.
  23. yea, the ipod worked. I couldnt get the head unit out enough to unclip the harness so I had to apply a bit of pressure. I thoughly checked the wires in bot harness, and it apprears to be fine.
  24. Update. I have removed the radio and the extra harness required for the neo gateway . Also, checked the harness connection for the instrument cluster. I also found out that the gauges start flashing as soon as i pull back on the shifter(the truck never actually leaves park).
  25. I just started having troubles with my dash cluster not working. When in park, everything seems fine. As soon as I put into drive, all the gauages start "twitching", and the gear indicator flashes. I drove for about 10 min and all the gauges started working again. The radio said "initilizing" at some point during all of this. I recently installed a neo gateway. I had trouble removing the head unit since the wiring was hung up behind it. I removed the cluster to access the wiring. Maybe i didnt get the cluster plugged back in properly, or I could have messed up the wiring on rear of radio since I had to pull to get the radio out. Just wondering if anyone has any insite on this issue. Thanks
