I have a viper 5704. While I have the truck running I can hit the remote start button and then take out the key(truck still running). Exit the truck then hit the lock button to activate the alarm. As ssmaniac mentioned once someone hits the break the starter is killed.

I have a garage too but used to always park in front of my window on the street. I have roommates and didn't want to be n inconvenience and have people move cars all the time so I could park in the garage. Two break ins later.....I park in the garage every night. I hate leaving my truck at friends houses and apts too. Even though its not an ss I love my truck and work my ass off for what I have. Good luck. Expect the worst hope for the best.

I work in auto loan servicing and a lot of our cars have gps on them and can even be disabled. We use aercept too. As long as you can get cell phone service you should be able to pick up a gps signal. I get a few calls every now and then from a police officer asking me to track a car. Something everyone here should look into.

I like it. Just clean it up a bit. It's the small details that sets your vehicles apart from everyone else's.

I have a 4/6 with a c notch. Go through some pics just to get a reference if you want to go lower. its also sitting on 275/45/20 tires.
