  1. if you check the part number they list in the ebay for that manifold, it's the same as the TBSS part number, so I think the manifolds are the same, but the TBs are different
  2. That's a killer deal, did it come with a throttle body too? Post up the guys username.
  3. I just bought some OBX headers yesterday for $530 shipped - http://www.racingpartdepot.com/servlet/the-3644/OBX-Exhaust-Headers-99-dsh-05/Detail I'm in MI, so I wanted stainless steel, which ruled the Pacesetters out. I also looked at the TSP set, but I wanted a bolt-in set without having to go somewhere and get something fabbed up, which just increases the cost. The OBX still have the odd hump in them, but it's supposedly easily fixed by zip tying the spark plug wire away from it.
  4. I'd love to put those on my truck, but my truck is too slow to be able to back up the looks.
  5. Is there any difference between the two OBX header links posted here? http://www.racingpartdepot.com/servlet/the-3644/OBX-Exhaust-Headers-99-dsh-05/Detail http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-Exhaust-Header-00-05-GM-Hummer-H2-GMC-Denali-6-0L-Off-Road-Headers-/161046359356?vxp=mtr Looks like it's the same seller, just that the second one is on ebay priced $10 higher and another $15 extra from shipping compared to their website. Has anyone ordered from Racing Parts Depot? I've seen a few bad reviews on them.
  6. Where did you buy them from? ebay has them listed for almost $800.
  7. Does the stock SS exhaust need a Y-pipe to the muffler or is it dual-in? TSP mid-pipe is a Y pipe, but it looks like OBX doesn't have a Y I don't want to have to fabricate anything, I just want a set of headers/mid-pipes that will bolt right up.
  8. I can only tell you what I've found by searching: They're a cheap header/y-pipe made of stainless steel with fake cats that are actually resonators. They have an issue with the spark plug boots being real close to a couple of the tubes, but can be zip-tied out of the way.
  9. A cheap copy of an old version of Dynatech headers. If you do a search on this site you'll find a lot of threads about them.
  10. Any spark plug wire clearance issues like the OBX headers?
  11. I've got an 03 SS that also needs a hitch. Unless anyone else is offering free hitches, then I could use some recommendations as well.
  12. I paid 16K for my 03 with 96K miles from a stealership last week. They wouldn't go lower because they had to do a little work to it to pass their safety inspections (new front brakes, ball joints, etc) I know a paid a premium, but my only other option was to go out of state to buy one, which would have required taking time off from work, air travel, and a lot of gas. Plus you take the risk of the truck not looking as good as it did in the pics. The only issue I had with financing through my CU was they would only go to 100% of the NADA price at first, which was only14K. I was able to get them up to 105%, but I still had to chip in almost $2K out of my pocket to cover the difference plus taxes and fees. They didn't have an age cap, but they did have a mileage cap. I also checked with the dealer about financing, but their interest rate was double what my CU gave me.
  13. Yeah, it comes off the engine (thermostat housing?) and Ts off to the heater core and overflow tank.
  14. You got fans or the fan harness for $77? He was talking just the harness.
  15. I found a few forums that say the plastic quick connects to the heater core have a tendancy to break, so maybe one broke and the PO couldn't remove the broken nipple from the old hose without damaging the hose. For now, I found another splice from an auto parts store, same exact plastic one, as a temp fix. I'm still trying to track down the part number for a new hose.
  16. That's what I thought, thanks. I suspect whatever they used to splice it might not have been rated to handle the heat and it got brittle, or they didn't leave enough slack in it and engine movement cracked it. So this line goes all the way to the heater core? I just want to make sure before I order a new hose, looks like it's some special T-hose, which means it will probably be pricy.
  17. Can anyone tell me if this is factory or if there used to be something else here? It's a 2003 SS This connector broke, luckily just as I was pulling into my street. I noticed the temp gauge almost to the red zone, 5 seconds later, I get the warning, another 5 seconds later, steam from under the hood, followed by massive amounts of coolant dumping onto my exhaust manifold. I haven't even had this truck a week yet. I also noticed the coolant was green, Isn't the factory coolant orange? Should I flush and switch it?
  18. Do you still have the electric fans? Was this a conversion or did the 04's have the efan setup? Does it come with the harness?
