painter said it really pops in the sun, but its been inside everytime I go. I like the way the stripes came out, can barely see the green until close and he said it looks flouresent in the light.

Funny I had the Rambler on my list!! I like the look, but think they only come 5 lug? Gonna wait until I get her back for the final call on the wheels. I really like the ride with the 20's and I drive the SS a lot on weekends and road trips.......well I used to. So probably going with 20x9 4.5 back spacing. Thanks for your imput appreciate it.......

I'm liking the Cheyenne 6's as 1st choice also. Billet Spec wheels are some pricey stuff!

Built from a 70 hood, cut the center out & grafted it to a Silverado hood. Your idea sounds like a neat build Dave.......I don't like doin the aftermarket stuff too much.

I have a 70 SS so yeah gonna have the same hood with the flapper. Down the road hope to do a 7.0 & tranny swap when the 6 is tired. I'm restoring a 71' Hurst SSJ but hurt my back early this summer so I had to have something moving forward while my back has me down.

I have the latest pics in my bucket on 2nd page. painting the door jams today or tomorrow, then striper has to do his thing. It should be together by middle of next week. They worked on the hood on & off for 18 months, have had the truck since 1st week in August. Terribly anxious to get behind the wheel.............

yes electric motor with a toggle switch for now.

Hood is in color, bed is off. Cab is in the booth! Surprised how much surface rust is on the frame. The fuel pump top and retainer ring was rusted very bad. Scale rust falling off to the touch. Replaced the pump, retainer ring & sender assembly while it was easy to get at it. Have the GM carpet liner for the bed, looks like a nice addition. Much better than a plastic liner.

Roof is in silver, and have the side graphics set! I have added more pics.........I hope to have it back in a week or 2.

have had some progress.......body work is done goin in for primer. A couple test silvers on the old hood, not the final paint scheme just for comparison purposes. no way commenting on your truck....sorry you took it that way!! Was just saying in general not to count your chickens when you come up on old muscle! My GTO was a dog when I had 2-4's on it....just sayin.

that Challenger was prob a dog esp with the dual quads!! My 70 SS 454 12.90's will smoke my stock SSS and some that are modded I would think. My 70 GTO does low 13's. Don't count your chickens just because you line up on old muscle!

What width and backspacing are stock SS wheels?? What width and backspacing do you guys use? Thanks Dave K
