  1. Thank you guys for all of the helpful comments and suggestions!!!!! As you guys said I will try to check out my truck myself or have someone help me to do it first. Also the SEARS checkup is a great idea! I will definitely do it. I will keep update.
  2. Thanks a lot for your suggestion. (I'm glad I asked!) I will take my truck back from there tomorrow morning and try to check out other place. (I am not a mechanic so i may not be able to do it myself.
  3. I know this issue has been discussed a few times already but i need your help and thought. My SSS dropped 3/4 inches year ago and I dont know if it is since then but my SSS has been developing a problem where the steering wheel starts shaking when it goes over a bump in the road or irregular surface from about 40-65 mils an hour. After the bump the steering wheel smooths out and everything is fine. So I brought my SSS to my local auto body repair this morning and just got a VM from them right now. They said I need to replace the tie-rod to solve the issue and it will cost around $700 including parts and labor. I am not sure if this is fair $$$ to do it and also Im not sure if it is even right so Id like to hear what you guys think or if you have any advice that would be appriciated. Thanks in advance! Toku
  4. I like it but it looks a lot like a japanese car. I want to see more "American Muscle" design like they used to be.
  5. It's not my taste at all but it does not look too bad. I would like to see if the future owner of this truck will join this website.
  6. Bergen County, 5 mins away from GWB. Where do u live in south jersey? I go S Jersey every saturday for Surfing. i go to deal, belmar, manasquan, and seaside hights.
  7. I see, I have a different reason that i used to own the Hybrid Prius before and now I own the full EV LEAF. I have own so many different types of cars in my life from real classic to the latest laxuary and now I dont get excited if i dont drive something different anymore. (i basically dont like a ordinally car) I know those cars are ugly but if you really like "cars' and study their technologies they are really interesting cars to drive as well. But those who says they save the earth by driving one of these I know thats BS. LOL For your info, the LEAF, it saves me 60 dollars every week for GAS (compare to my Acura TSX wagon) and that comes out total $240 GAS saving a month. Instead, it cost $5 dollars a week for electric that means $20 dollars a month. I am leasing the car for $260 a month with 0 down payment. Do a simple math. $260(LEAF) - $240(GAS) + $20(ELECTRIC BILL) = $40 (Total Cost of Ownership) / month The car is almost pays itself. This is the real number from my own experiense after owning for 1 year. Not a BS#s from dealers catalog. So basically I lose nothing to own it (except insurrance) and enjoy the latest technology. I know cars should not be judged by only looking. PS. I am not a Nissan sales man ;-)
  8. Oh no!! I used to own the Prius and now I own the LEAF!!!!!! LOL How about the Chevy Volt? Do you like them? The Volt is a hybrid too. i am currious as i am a Japanese. (I know some americans they hate Jap cars) BTW, I hate the Honda Ridgeline, Nissan Juke, SmartCars, and all Korean cars.
  9. Are you asking about my VW BUS? If so my bus is 1965 13 window deluxe bus. (I used to have a 1958 oval window bug too)
  10. Thanks a lot. Arigato!! I was born in Kobe (not too far from Osaka) and raised in Chiba city and Tokyo. I miss those crazy car like GT-R in Japan. I don't understand why they don't sell these cars in the US.
  11. Sorry to hear Rob.. Hope you will find the truck soon. I may be moving to SoCal next year for my new job assignment. I am a bit scared now.
  12. Awesome truck,,,, i should've checked out this site before I purchased my SSS last month,,,,,
  13. Im not trying to make you feel better but do not get shocked too much whatever happened to your truck. Im sure it's fixable and at least you get your truck back. I am a harricane sandy victim and now living in a small temp apartment in Hackensack NJ while my house is being fixed. i lost pretty much everything what i had on my first floor and basement. i had 4 cars and 1 motorcycle they are all totalled. I never mentioned here but my 2005 SSS is a replacement for my brand new 2013 Nissan Quest which I lost. My Insurrance and FEMA covered most of it, but still I have spent and lost more than 40K dollars from out of my pocket so far for repair, material stuff, living expenses and etc. I lost everything and I was almost going back to Japan after the hurricane, but I have decided to start over my life in the US again so I bought my SSS pickup. My first car in the US was a used beatup 94 ford ranger. I started my life from ZERO in the US with that truck but I still remember I had so much fun with the pickup driving everywhere. It's been 15 years now and my life is a lot better but everytime I drive my SSS pickup it reminds me my old days. Sorry for my broken English, I am still learning. ;-) I just wanted to express i am feeling sorry for you and Im glad you are getting your truck back.
