    Don't go getting all shoot to kill on us. Some of the guys here are bragging about beating this and that and getting cocky about it. The SRT-8 is a bad mofo. Stock it will be close. If its not stock the other guy will be doing the same thing you are. Good luck with it.

    I'm not getting cocky. I'm just enjoying my build. The guy is a friend of mine and just got that truck that day. I was the first person he called lol.. he actually posted on my fb wall "get that ss ready im headed ur way". We drank beer for 3 hrs after the race. I asked what yall think, I raced, I reported back. I didn't even tell him to put an LS motor in his truck lol

    Well gius we lined up last night. Nice loooonngg wide straight away on one of the back roads here. He "heated up his tires" and we lined up. From a dead stop he spun a little but there was no comparison. It wasn't even funny how bad I beat him. So since he was spinning, he wanted to go from a roll. So from a 35 roll, on the 3rd honk, I pulled him worse than the first race. At the end of first gear there was about a truck length between my back bumper and his front bumper. Then I got into 2nd and it got real ugly lol. That put 4+ truck lengths between us. $150 richer. Thanks to all of the info you guys gave me. I'm taking pm's for paypal info to start handing out yalls shares of the $150 for helping me out with this lmao. Thanks guys. Yall were right! I will say this. That SRT10 is a hell of a nice truck

    Got a buddy just bought one. The 4dr one. He wants to race. I'm TFS 225 heads/228-230 cam/FAST 102/90MM TB/1.8 rockers/zippy tune. I just finished the build and I have not did trans and stall yet. I can't lose to him. Thoughts? His truck is stock.

    I got Dorman replacement fans from summit. I bought the Nelson harness. Worked great. Be sure and order the plugs to plug into the fans. The fans, nor the harness come with them. Those plugs are expensive!!!!!! Like 50$ each at dealer, amd not much cheaper at the auto parts stores. I got mine from a junk yard and still cost me $40. And the alrernator upgrade is a must. My alternator ain't doin too good since I put them on. I did the big 3 and put in an optima yesterday. Helped a bit, but still need an alternator

    U can see in some of the pics that the lights are off in, that it is individual led's. And in my opinion also, this looks better than the solid ring. He had the individuals, but went with what oracle calls plasma rings. Supposed to look lile all one light. And as far as for the neon bar sign, I can assure you its the pic doing it. The lights are RED RED RED. not that tangy, overpowering neon. He has a controller that changes strobe patterns, "breathing", and brightness. And yes they do them in any light. Head/tail/fog. Not cheao tho. Hes got over $1,200 in these headlights alone. But if u guys could see em in person.. man.. the white rings are bright enough to drive with... literally.

    Have you guys seen Advanced Automotive Concepts' s work? ORACLE? They do some ridiculous work. Heres some stuff they did with my buddys headlights on his dodge. Hes went in and changed em up a time or 2, that's why pics look different.

    I'm gonna miss the sema show, but I will be there Dec. 7th. Never been before. Flying in from New Orleans. Hoping to have a good time and drink lots of adult drinks. I've never been and I don't gamble. Gonna go meet Zippy, and probably go slap Rick at the pawn shop. No other plans as of now.

    One thing I have always wanted to do was find me an old 50's Caddy or Chevy and keep it all original on the outside but update everything under the hood and inside. Like a LS-1 and 4 speed tranny, a vintage air setup, digital gauge cluster and audio system etc.
    couldn't agree more on the old caddy. Man I love those things. Ls motor, CLEAN air ride setup, big plush leather seats, and black paint. Damn.

    Decided on Rossler Terminator 3 tranny. He says it should be fine. Gonna get that, and my stall on order next week. I guess I need to go ahead and do my research on the tru-cool max tranny cooler too. And I'm definitely gonna have to buy another alternator. Mine hates the E-fans. Easily fixable tho right? Just whip out the ole wallet, problem solved lol. As some of you may have read in my other posts.. I work on an oil and gas producing platform in the gulf of mexico. I am employed by a contract company, but got huge news yesterday that I will be hired with the company directly next week, and I was offered a very very generous amount of money. Literally double what I'm making now. So with that being said... let the modding co tinue lol. I will spare no cost on this truck. Goals are to drive it to take my girl out, stop at the track on the way home, run a low 12 with an awd burnout in the pre stage, and drive it home. How's that sound?

  23. oil pressure drop

    had the oil pump changed at the dealer but didn't solve the problem has 5-10 lbs. of pressure still has lifter tick. Now their saying may be a cracked head (I've never seen this happen with a cracked head)Stump and aggravated to say the least
    man that sucks. Sorry to hear that. If it does come to being a head, I got some stock heads ill sell cheap.
