Hey again everyone, I've really appreciated your advice on my previous threads, now i'd like your wisdom on another subject.. Headers. Ive been doing some research on them. As best I can tell stainless with 7/8 primaries is the way to go. Now I just need to know a good brand/place to buy them from. Ive seen ARH headers for $1500.00 bucks . Are there other good stainless headers that are a little more affordable? I don't mind forking out the $1500.00 but if I can get them cheaper then why not right? I just got my BB tune so I think this will complement it nicely. I wanted to know your opinion on whether headers are one of the best "bang for the buck" mods. From what I've researched yes but I want to hear it from the horses mouth. My goal is to break into the 13's. Advice on that is welcome also. Thanks guys

So from looking at Magnaflows site i found several different sizes of dual in/ out. 11X17, 14X20 and 22X28. All of them oval. The larger the quiter correct? Your recommendations?

I don't have headers either right now but I do plan on buying them. I think i will keep the cats too. So if you don't have Corsa how do you know they don't drone?

Can you elaborate on that? I.E a larger muffler has deeper tone or something?

Hey guys, So my Black Bear tuned PCM arrived today. Install of the PCM was easy enough. That security relearn is a PITA though. Anyway I took it for a spin and I'm impressed. Its not quite the night and day description I've been hearing but its good enough. If nothing else theres a very noticeable difference in shift firmness. I'll see what happens at the track in a week or so.

Thats just the set up it has now. Two very small flomaster super 10's. So yeah i guess your right. Now, would having both pipes into one muffler make any more BP than individual mufflers?

Well, mine dual exits to the bed so I would like to think drone would be an issue, especially since I already have a resonator. Ive heard about MF blowing the packing out before, is there an issue with this on MF mufflers? Has anyone else had that happen? Thanks for the reply sinr98

Thanks for the advice guys. Is everyone running the Magnaflow #12599 muffler? My SS has true duals, what single in/out magnaflows are you guys running?

I agree, I've had Magnaflow on almost all my vehicles. Whoever had the SS before me must of liked it stupid loud. I had some resonators installed last week and that did quiet it up a little. It's just not quiet enough for me to enjoy highway driving. That and if I can gain a little hp while making it quieter why-not.
