I would.. And I would love to but I need the transmission before summer if not sooner. I'm not one to skimp out when it comes to my truck. I have an addiction to buying the best stuff, but keeping it stockish at the same time. If I had more income, more time, and more knowledge I would do it. But the 80 just isn't an option right now. I've heard that about the raptor too many times too.

My 65E is on its last leg with about 170k miles on it. It's starting to slip in basically every gear and I'm afraid every hard shift will be my last. Currently im setting the truck up to handle the horsepower I hope to achieve later down the road. My goals are between 500-600 horsepower and similar torque. Is the level 5 65E good enough to last a while with this power and still be drivable? It's my daily while I'm in college. I'm not interested in an 80e swap since I don't have time to do it myself nor the money for new driveshafts and cross member.

I've thought about that as well... But that's boring and comparatively this is cheap and I can make the money back way before I graduate. As it is im 19 and making 20k a year. Otherwise I'd never consider such an expensive mod. I'd be like every other teen and just plastidip everything black and straight pipe it and call it a day. But I'm not and I like classy looks and sleeper trucks.

Yes, I've had my job for going on 6 years now, got a second last year because I realized how expensive college is, and I'm applying for a third now so I can buy truck parts haha. I'm a city employee in two jobs and a county in the third so unless you live in Cullman alabama I don't think it's your dime lol. And I can get medical school paid for too if I promise the hospital I'll work for them for 4 years. So I hope to graduate med school completely debt free which is not very common.

My friend's dad works at a car lot. He says they just got a 2005 sss in and it's completely bone stock. He also says his dad watched the owner smoke all four tires in a dry burnout in the parking lot. Is this possible with awd and a completely stock motor? I feel bad for having to call them out, but y'all only have "20" more hp than my denali and I just don't see it happening even with stock size tires.

I have toyo proxes stII's and they're awesome. Talk about some grip on the rain. The only downside is that everyone in my family wants to drive my truck if there is rain in the forecast..
