Yeah you’ll be fine. I’m running Braided from there to the cooler.. I think it looks better than the factory lines. Also doing my trans cooler lines in braided too

Man I wish I knew about this before I bought a new set of OEM lines. I was just going to replace the rubber part with braided stainless steel lines, but honestly this is a better idea.

Ahh I see.. so basically it replaces that plate and then also allows you to run your own lines. Do you think I'd be able to run braided stainless steel lines the whole way? The OEM oil cooler lines are part hard-line and part rubber.

  3. Sorry to dig up an old thread, but this is exactly what I want to do. My oil cooler lines are leaking as well and I'd rather just solve the problem once and for all.

How exactly do I convert the steel tubing to the AN fitting though? Does this require welding at all? I think I generally understand how this all works but I'm not sure, still pretty new to all this.

  4. Hey,

Right now I have the stock Goodyear Eagle LS2 tires, which are 275/55/20, but I plan on lowering my truck more and want something wider and more low profile.

I was wondering if anyone had any good recommendations for 295/45/20 tires? I plan to run them on the stock SS rims, which I believe are 20 x 8.5. I am willing to go with 285/45/20 if necessary, but I really want to stick with that size sidewall because I like how it looks.

    Thanks.

  5. @mjtnismo None of the pictures are showing up. When I go to photobucket, I can see the thumbnails in the album but get the same generic image when I try to view an individual image. Is there some way I can view full size versions of these images?

Unfortunately no.. this is an issue site wide because everyone apparently loved Photobucket back in the day. If you see that generic picture it means they have to sign into their Photobucket account from years ago and update their account preferences.

  6. Probably a long shot but if you have any interest in making it more stock Id be willing and interested in trading you the Corsa for factory exhaust as well as a factory air box and tube for the GMPP intake.

Seeing how this guy took care of his truck I wouldn't be surprised if he still has the original parts lol.

  7. Btw just thought I'd point out that's a Corsa exhaust not Borla. Good luck with the truck man, I agree with the others that it'd be real nice to see this thing put back together. It's honestly not in too bad shape at all. Just needs a new bed and front end basically. Also, what bed cover is that? Did you have to bolt it on?

  8. I could text someone the pics I can't get them to load on here. The pn is 14289 I got this in December 2012 and kinda forgot I had it. I kinda had the hook up at corsa through a buddy here in my town at the time I got mine the dude at corsa told me they had enuff to make only two more I got one. Again just seeing if anyone has an interest in this really wanted headers to go with the cat back but never got enuff funds not sure if Iam gonna sell but money does talk.

    Hope that helps!

Sorry should have clarified, I meant the cost to install. I have heard C notching the frame adds a lot more labor costs.

  10. Probably never. The car is pristine... super low miles. I special ordered it and have every piece of paper/sticker and dealer material possible. That baby is staying stock. I've done a few minor mods all which can easily be undone.

It doesn't get out much so the sun isn't as big as an issue for it. I've never had tinted windows before (but also never lived in the south). I got the tint on the SS to help preserve the interior and prevent the sun from baking it to death. I drive it most days to work... the tint is 3M Crystalline. It's 30% so I'm legal and don't have to worry about being pulled over. It matches the rear tint perfectly.... funny at the shop that put it on they were like the color may not match but after they put on it is almost and exact match!

Ah I see, so you're potentially selling it one day then I assume as a collectors item? I got my tints for the same reason, I went with the Llumar Pinnacle Series but I heard the 3m Crystalline tints are great too. Looks good.

  11. To MY liking, it rides great considering the amount of drop.

I used the belltech C notch, my truck doesnt bottom out anywhere. I wouldnt thinking twice about doing a 3/5 if I were you.

How much that run you? I know the C notch adds a lot to the cost..
