  1. Finally some nice weather to get going on the truck again, I raised it up a couple inches, low is a pain in the ass, I like the look but now I don't have to worry about scraping all the time. Added Nitto 555 285/35/22 up front, was 265's.

Ready to add new carpet and pad, and tune wiring. Get the interior back together, new exhaust, replace the rack and pinion. Then to paint.

  2. Shipping companies, you can search my experience with E-ship, but most shipping companies are just brokers and they send whatever company will take the load. If you read in the fine print the broker is not responsible for any damaged the trucker makes, you have to file a claim with the trucking company that they send.

  3. Ok, the one coming out of the carpet come from the driver seat connection, it is missing the ORANGE (power) AND BLACK (ground) as you see in the connection on the seat. I think your best bet would be to look for the right harness for the SS seats the Part Number is Z93676948. Or you could tap off the ORANGE AND BLACK at the drivers seat and tap into the ORANGE AND BLACK the passenger seat connector, but I don't know what other wire would be missing to work the heat in the seats.

  4. One other aspect of the cost is paying the shipping for all the part, its not cheap, unless you find a local wrecked SS that you can use all the parts for your clone, most guys have to piece meal there clone together with buying parts all across the States. And if you buy all your parts and they are in mint shape your going to pay the high price for them.

The other cost comes with if you do all your own work, paying to do a motor swap, painting/ suspension is not cheap.

I bought parts in bundles from guys on here, ship to me and I've gone an installed and replaced some parts with the mint piece, so I a have about 70% to clone another truck if I want when I get done with this one, I just need to buy another truck.

So the cheapest way I would say is to buy the truck with no rust or mechanical issues, and look in your area at the auctions for a wrecked SS, some can be a theft recovery with no damage but most of them are missing all the good parts. They don't come around to often. And do the work yourself.

  5. May need a bigger tub of popcorn if work doesn't slow down. Tearing it apart as fast as possible. I thought I started the part out as work was slowing down.but it appears I was wrong. Can't complain when work is busy, it pays better than ss parts.

Yeah, no problem I was just letting you know I was still here.
