i just have to rant on how bad i hate this season. its just terrible id rather it be 110 than this crap. and to top it all off the roads are salted to the point where it literally turns your shoes white. ok im done lol
i to would rather have 110*...here they don't use salt on the roads, they use cinders (crushed lava rocks) so instead of salt damage we get stone chips every where..
oh yea, it dose snow here..

just reuse the stock mid pipes, and a 18-24" magnaflow muffler. if you are reusing the tail pipe, get a DI-SO muffler and have a shop connect it up..

IMO- not worth the time and effort. your still spinning a front diff, drive shaft, output gear in the TC. the most you may see is 1/2-3/4 mpg maybe..if you want mpg of a 2x4 than buy one. remember these trucks run about 5500 lbs, 2x4 mpg...

04 and up had the black trim. the 03 was the only ones that didnt.

ok guys. i just did this and my lows and highs are both on when my low beams are on. but when i switch to high beams its just high beams, isnt it suppose to be the other way around?
check your diode. try switching it around. the stripe on the diode should be closest to the high beam relay,,,
BTW- 7 1/2+ years with out issues..

check your break booster, may have a small leak inside . what are you showing on a vacuum gauge, what is your idle set at, and are you running a stock cam?

a little off topic but..
has anyone come up with a fix to keep the caps on?? had 2 this past week come off, both on driver side, luckily i found them on the road. any help would be appreciated. buying new caps is not a option at this time..

what else could cause my battery to die overnight then?
BCM- known issue going back to 02-03 sometimes it will not switch off items as programmed sometimes quick fix was to disconnect the battery, and it would reset it self to the factory program. if not, you may need to have the BCM reflashed/replaced...

living in LA, forget LT's and no cats will never pass smog..1 7/8 is way over kill for anything under 427 CI best is custom tune CAI and a good free flowing muffler...biggest issue here in CA is CARB...

insurance payed. adjuster came out and went over it for about 45 min. about a week later i had a check..the body shop did a real good job, looked factory in every way. and yes i was satisfied..

a real dirty MAF can/will cause trans shifting issues. give it a good cleaning with MAF spray cleaner..

i use the 3157 NALL (natural amber long life) Sylvania bulbs, and the last set lasted over 7 years. most cheap bulbs state they are rated at 12V but newer vehicles charging systems put out almost 14V.. Sylvania and outer quality bulbs are rated at 14+V ..

$11, 400 for a paint job!?
truck was totally striped, cladding, bumpers, bed, hard cover, tail gate, were removed. prep/painted everything. bed was removed to paint behind the cab, and the front of the bed, where all the cladding mounts to the bed/cab was all repainted before it was re installed grill/brake ducts repainted..shop had it for 5 weeks to complete. labor was the big part of it. i think for what was done and the quality of work it was worth it..

i had mine repainted after wind damage last year..total out the door $11,400..

don't know about the rest of the US, but gas price here has gone up .30 cts per gal in the last 4 days. .10 cts just today.. :mad: :banghead:

your high flow cats should pass with out any issues. LT's def.will not pass the visual inspection. any after market CAI that has a CARB # should pass..CA inspections has gotten to be a pain over the last couple of years. things that were over looked are now under the microscope. i run TOG mid's and never had a issue until last year, the place i always go to and pass, now will fail it because i don't have my CARB# any more...

try cleaning your MAF. a dirty one can/will cause trans shifting issues. and check for codes..
