A new spark plug has been released for use in the above vehicles. The new spark plug has an Iridium tip instead of the current Platinum tip. Due to the different tip design, the gap of the spark plug has also changed. The new spark plug, P/N 12571164 with AC Delco P/N 41-985, is gapped to 1.01mm (0.040 inches) when the spark plug is made. The spark plug gap is set during manufacturing and should not be changed or damage to the spark plug may result. Any new spark plug found to not be properly gapped should not be used.

  2. glad everyone's all right..

the big thing is the geology difference between the east and west cost, is why you only felt a very little. in LA. a 5.7 would have done a lot more damage then just some buildings shaking a bit..now where i live we don't get the shakers, we get the rollers. we had a 6.5 hit some years ago about 8 mi. from the house, and you could see the the valley floor roll like waves as it went across. the coolest part was seeing the mountain range 20 mi away float up and down..

    good luck..

  3. i would check with a local smog shop. when i got mine done 2 weeks ago, the guy asked about my dual tips., as long as it had a single muffler i was good..they have changed a lot of rules this past year that are not being put out to the public.. :icon_bs: best i can say is go to the sores, and ask a smog tech..

    good luck

  4. i have the X 2000 on mine and i can only get less than 3/8" of my finger under my lid. the lid should NOT touch the bed rails or the tail gate. if i remember from the inside of the bed lip to where my cover rests when closed is 5". maybe you need to adjust the hinges a little so it will sit lower with out resting on the bed/tail gate..

    this is how mine sits..

  5. How much are they? Are they as good as LT's?

unknown on price, but guessing $600+. mid's will never be as good as LT's but i think they will hold their own to about 4500 rpm. with the 1 5/8 tubes, and 2 1/2" collectors should give a good boost in low end TQ. I've got TOG's now and if CA is cracking down on OE # i may have to switch them out.. can't find the OE # or my paper work for them... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

  6. this is the best we can do here.. :banghead:

maybe a mild cam swap. if you can keep your HC/CO's within spec, your cats are there, sounds stock, then it must be a stock cam.. blower, someone must make a CARB blower. i know what your saying about it's getting harder to find someone to look the outer way. just got mine done last week, and the guy who has been smogging my vehicles for years, is now asking for CARB stickers for my intake and TOG's.. :idiot: but there is a rummer around town that for $200 plus the cert. one guy will play Ray Charles for a couple of min..

    good luck..

  7. The last guy bit it pretty hard lol.

    this always makes me

working for a Government contractor, i was required to over see the DZSO to make sure all regulations for the drop zone were followed. seen my share of OOPS in my time, and some not so funny

    enjoy..
