Thanks for the vote of confidence. I just changed the oil and filter at 1200 to Mobile One and there was a lot of fine metal particles (almost like sand) in the drain pan. There was a little metalic goo on the plug which I ve seen before on new vehicles. What do you think about that?? Still a sign of breakin? Normal? Runs strong and fine at this point. Did anyone notice the particles a first oil change?

I assume this will strip the wax too??

it s not an injection tick sound, it s a faint knock. I haven t heard it in the past few days though??

I m glad to be back with this site. I had an SS and now the v max. It s a differnt engine and I don t know if they have a NBS SS yet or if one is coming. I wanted the crew cab too. The crew cab is a little heavier. The HP is 367 and i think 375 tq. A few HP more than the SS but that doen t mean much taking all into consideration. The NBS has a nicer inside and rides great. I also have 4;10 gears which is the HD trailering package. The auto trac, 4x4, and 2wd controls work great too.(A nice feature).A lot of new upgrades for 07 but I still miss the SS. SFI/sequential fuel injection. MFI/ multi port fuel injection.

Just got the 6.0 v max so I m not sure, but I think I hear a slight tap at idle. Not all the time. Am i over thinking here or is it normal.? Runs fine, idle a little low but I m getting a PCM tune soon. Don t want to drive myself crazy. I ll be able to compare performance to SS after the tune cause the SS was tuned by pcmforless. Ride is better than the SS, BUT Its NO SS!

I m planning on being there . I ll bring a digital camera too. Wifes coming. She s alright, she lets me spend all this money.

i had a blue ss,, i got tired of the old style dash, the new inteior is sweet.

I have an 07 NBS crew cab, with trailering pachage mirrors DPN (Power adj, heated, signals) camper style, want to change to stock (possibly heated, sig, power adjust to keep same opts), smaller mirror. Will it be a plug match?? Mirror part # if possible. Dealer not much help. They don t know if the plugs will match up. Anyone want these mirrors if they come off ($238 potion)? Or trade? Thanks.

yea, i remember you and alot of others i see are still here. I bought a 07 crew cab with a 4.8, 3;42 and thought it would be more efficient and i would forget about the power. Well my SS got better fuel mileage and the power was bad with the 3;42 s. So after 5K miles I traded it in and didn t get killed too bad. Fri I get the new v max and got to get the pcm tune ASAP. I loved the new intieiors and the crew cab is great for me with the short box. The ride is nice too.

picking up a v max Fri, 6.0, 4;10, 20 in wheels. What kind of fuel mileage can i expect? I m a former SS member and I m back. Will post pic s when i get them. Thanks, glad to be back again, good site!

You guys might find this interesting. I traded my 04 SS, 25K, mint cond,,Tonneua cover and bedliner. PCM tune they don t know about. I got 21K on a trade, which gave me aprox a $1400 tax break. So that s like 22,400 for me towards the trade. A friend inquired on the SS price two days later. They are asking $28,999! Are they crazy? I figured maybe I could have gotten 24K myself? I ve seen some nice trucks sell here for a lot less than 29K

I think the PCV value may be different on an 04 as opposed to an 03????
